My mother had the operation of motiyabind for one eye at near 40 years of age and then almost after one year motiyabind operation for the second eye. Is it too early at this age to have this operation? If yes, then what could be the possible cause for motiyabind operation being too early?

Hello usual age for motia operation is 50yrs. But these days it is very common to see patients with motia at this young age. Having said that. There are few causes for early motia which includes a. Diabetes b. Trauma c. Inflammation like uveitis d. Steroid use is there any history of any of these in your mother?
