I am a 33 year old male suffering from severe pain in the knees & slight pain in the joints of hands & shoulders, for the last 15 to 20 days. I have visited my family doctor & has been advised certain medicines like zyloric & acelofenac. My blood sugar is absolutely normal & uric acid level is 6. 7. Kindly, advise.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are many causes of multiple joint pains in the body. It can be inflammatory in nature, due to an underlying systemmic cause or a generalized deficiency. My advice is to get some blood tests done and send reports across to me: cbc, esr, crp, serum vitamin d, serum electrolytes etc. Let me see these reports and then I can advise you certain measures.
