These habits also leads to the disease of gums as well. The first and primary treatment starts with quitting the habit. Execise to be done at home: - take the bundle of wooden ice cream sticks and place it between upper and lower teeth in front region for 10-15 mins. - repeat the exercise 2-3 times a day. - gradually increase the number of sticks every day. - continue with this exercise till desired mouth opening is achieved. - patience is required as this exercise will take several weeks to achieve the desired mouth opening. - this exercise will be helpfull only when patient quits the habit of tobaco chewing or else this exercise will not help at all.
