I have been suffering from ibs for a long time which was not detected earlier. Te symptoms were similar to amoebiasis with fever (almost similar to that caused due to the bite of plasmodium vivax. At that time I used to take metronidazole and, sometimes, antibiotics namely, ampicillin or oxytetracycline and then, ciprofloxacin or norfloxacin. The symptoms were similar to malaeria. Once the doctor, to whom I went for the treatment, advised for a full course of chloroquine phosphate. I recovered after that treatment, but the disease was not cured. It attacked me several times. The symptoms were similar to that of amoebiasis without any occult blood. About a year ago, our physician advised me to take rifagut (400 mg per day) and one tablet of eldicet (a low dose). The combination worked well, but within this period, I have been attacked twice by the disease similar to infective diarrhoea or amoebiasis. I had to take a course of the combination satronidazole and ofloxacin. Kindly let me know what may I do under these circumstances.
