It is better to find out the root cause for the allergies and changing it accordingly rather than taking medications lifelong. The problem is once the effect of the medicine wears out, the allergy symptoms will come back. It will be better to meet an immunologist and avoid the trigger factor. After prolonged use, the dosage will have to be increased to give the same effect as the body will undergo resistance.
