I'm here for a friend who is 19 years old. She is having a hard time dealing w her feelings and is in a phase where she is feeling really hopeless and that she has been pretending to be okay for a long time by not dealing with those emotions but now she says, 'i can not pretend anymore, can not sleep anymore, it physically hurts and it is emotionally draining me" she says it hurts to be awake and that she feels everything is out of her hands and she no longer can control her thoughts. She has stopped talking to literally all her friends. Her parents do not understand the concept of therapy and I do not know how to help her grow out of this phase. What can I do?
