I am 43 years old and 10 years ago I had a tubal ligation during my c-section. My period is now 11 days late and I always have regular cycles. I took a pregnancy test right after my period was late and it was negative. Still no period but today I had some brown spotting. What are the chance of being pregnant at my age after a tubal? Could it be stress? I have had a lot of change happen recently in my life.

Hello, there are chances of pregnancy after tubal ligation but its not common. Due to present state of lockdown our lifestyle has changed, sun exposure is reduced, constant apprehension of covid is there that has taken toll on our hormonal rhythm leading to irregular cycles, I suggest as you have got some spotting, observe for 4-5 days if its your menses you will bleed as per your previous pattern but if you notice only spotting I suggest you repeat the urine test. Hi lybrate-user. You had tubal ligation. Preg test negative. No chance of preg. It is your perimenupausal age so pds may be delayed or scanty. Don't worry wait and watch next pd sometimes menopause may occur before 45 years of age ok.
