I have got chicken pox. I have my mother in law in home whose age is 61. Does she need to take any antiviral medicine or injection to prevent her getting infection from me.

Hi lybrate-user sorry to listen that you have got chicken pox, but don't worry it will be all right. Your mother must have chickenpox previously. If she is not sure then also post exposure prophylaxis is not recommended. For the time being keep yourself asay from your mom, bear a good quality mask it will prevent any transmission. Thanks.
