Good evening. I had spit up some mucus with blood mixed in about a minute ago and the mucus is yellow and the blood is dark red. Is that normal?

no. It can mean severe infection. But u have not mentioned ur symptoms. It can be because of a prolonged or severe cough, Bronchitis, Bronchiectasis, A severe nosebleed, anticoagulant, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, Pulmonary edema, TB, Cancer etc.
