One of my worker is bitten by street dog 6 month back but he didn't get any injection. But nothing happens or any symptoms happens to him. I want to know why it necessary for injections.

It will be of no use to take vaccine after 10 days of bite if the animal is alive during the observation period of 10 days. First reason being if you are alive at 3 months then it means you didnot get rabies virus in first place. Next reason being the incubation period. Varies from 3 to 8 weeks. Sometimes as early as 9 days depending on site of bite. The amount of time a virus needs to display signs of infection. After it has already infected, Vaccine producing antibody is of no use.
