My father (61 yrs) undergone eye checkups at 2 major hospitals, and was confirmed advanced cataract in his right eye (left eye has also started improving cataract. He don't have sugar. But his B.P is around 160-170/100. Do we need to wait till the B.P comes down for surgery? (till what level) Also we were shown to select one package amount some 6 options, which says indian lens (30k), imported lens (50k), and some other better lens (60k) Which one should we need to choose. I heard some stories that patients suffer leaking tears post cataract surgery. I want to have a smooth after surgery. And any suggestions for best hospital to undergo cataract? What lens should I ask and go for? Please help. We have very little time.

Imported lenses are more preferable. Usually there are no complications if the doctor is good.. but it is not always in hands of doctor.. if anything occurs then instead of blaming you should go for further treatment.. You should wait till the blood pressure is under normal range...
