Dear lybrate-user, Hello. Your lump, which is felt in standing position and reduces/ vanishes in sleeping position can be due to Hernia. (Most possibly Inguinal Hernia). It is due to loosened abdominal muscle wall. For this, you have to get yourself checked from a general surgeon. Ultra sonography of abdomen will also help to establish the diagnosis. Treatment will be decided as per the underlying cause. Have a nice day.
