How to sleep well.?!

Many times when the sleep is disturbed it leads to many problems in the body and the mind. In today’s fast moving world sleep is disturbed by our surroundings and our activities. Here are some simple steps to improve your sleep.

1. Keep a fixed time to wake up every morning regardless of what time you go to sleep.

2. Use your bed/mattress only for sleeping. Better don’t use it for watching TV/browsing the net/chatting on phone. In case you haven’t noticed separate furniture are available for those activities.!

3. Avoid taking tea/coffee after 5 pm. No question of smoking or alcohol – these are sure fire ways to have a disturbed sleep.

4. If you don’t fall asleep within 20 minutes of going to bed, walk out of the bed to a different room. Engage in some simple activity like reading a pleasant book/listening to some melody.

5. Don’t keep staring at the watch/clock while trying to fall asleep.

6. Try to unwind with a warm bath and gentle music before going to bed. Grandma would say drink a cup of milk. Listen to her.!

7. Sleep in a place which is not noisy/bright – pretty obvious isn’t it.?! Yet we ignore it too often.

8. Consult a psychiatrist for help if above methods fail. Please don’t self-medicate. We are here to help.!!

Yes dear if it is enlarging cyst slow or fast whatever may be, than surgical removal is must, do not wait it to get resolved as cyst has only surgical access and this is small minor surgery without any scar with small incision with no complications results

Hello- Masturbation has both physical and psychological effects on sexual life. Physical effects include early ejaculation, looses erection, or unable to ejaculate during sex etc. Psychological effects includes unable to find interest on sex at all and finding masturbation pleasurable, depression from sexual under performance, memory loss, lack of sleep etc. Every person mostly get affected from almost all the symptoms after particular stage.

Hi, every digital glucometer shows -20 or +20 readings. So the best and perfect reading is shown in blood sugar fasting and postprandial investigations only. So use of digital glucometer is only for a rough figure of reading.

Hiii lybrate-user thanks for asking your query *maintaining regular time for going to bed. *avoid seeing excited pictures at night. *avoid smoking, tea, coffee or alcohol at night before going to sleep. *not indulge in any type of work or reading till late night. *should devoid of thoughts tensions before going to bed. *hearing soft music or favorite songs also induces sleep. *5-10 minutes mediation before going for sleep *offering prayer before sleep. *washing of hand, feet and face before goes to sleep *avoid of day sleep *proper evacuation of stool and urine *avoid mosquito bites *maintain privacy *drink buffalo milk + khas khas thanks.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress 8. Develop hobby, Learn new skill 9.Go for detail Annual Health check up

At your age it is most often not necessary to go in for blood sugar check up. However, if parents have h/o diabetes or any of the siblings have diabetes then it is better to get a test done. Thanks.

I am having anal itching. I went for treatment doctor told I am having piles. Another doctor told its fisher and gave allegro 120. Daily I am applying shield ointment for itching. Kindly suggest to eliminate itching in anal area. Suggest home made medicine also.

HOME REMEDIES TO CURE PILES:: 1.Apply sesame oil on external dry piles followed by warm fomentation (warm moist compresses or sitting in warm water). The easiest method is to sit in a tub with the buttocks submerged in warm water. 2.Eat 4 figs twice a day, in the morning and evening. Saturate 4 figs in water for the whole night; eat these in the morning. Remember not to drink water prior to eating the figs. Saturate another 4 figs in the morning to be eaten in the evening. Do this every day for 4 weeks. 3. Take 1 tsf triphala churna at night daily with luke warm water. 4. Revert me back.

POISONING BY BITES AND STINGS

First aid for poisonous bites and stings

People often panic if they have been bitten or stung. You should tell the patient that many snakes, spiders, insects and sea creatures are harmless and that even the bites and stings of dangerous animals often do not cause poisoning.

Keep the patient calm and still. Moving the bitten or stung limb speeds up the spread of venom to the rest of the body. Fear and excitement also make the patient worse. The patient should be told not to use the limb and to keep it still and below the level of the heart. The limb may swell after a while, so take off the patient’s rings, watch, bracelets, anklets and shoes as soon as possible. A splint and a sling may help to keep the limb still.

Avoid doing the following:
Do not cut into the wound or cut it out.
Do not suck venom out of the wound.
Do not use a tourniquet or tight bandage.
Do not put chemicals or medicines in the wound or inject them into the wound (for e.g., potassium permanganate crystals).
Do not put ice packs on the wound.
Do not use proprietary snake bite kits.
The patient should lie on one side in the recovery position so that the airway is clear, in case or vomiting or fainting.
Do not give the patient anything by mouth – no food, alcohol, medicines or drinks. However, if it is likely to be a long time before the patient gets medical care, give the patient water to drink to stop dehydration.
Try to identify the animal, but do not try to catch it or keep it if this will put you, the patient or others at risk. If the animal is dead take it to hospital with the patient, but handle it very carefully, because even dead animals can sometimes inject venom.
As soon as possible, take the patient to a hospital, medical dispensary, or clinic where medical care can be given. The patient should not walk but should keep as still as possible. If there is no ambulance or car, carry the patient on a stretcher or trestle, or on the crossbar of a bicycle.
Antivenom should only be given in a hospital or medical Centre where resuscitation can be given, because the patient may have an allergic reaction. If available, antivenom should be used if there is evidence of severe poisoning. It should not be used when there are no signs of poisoning.

use a eye drop for red eyes..genty 1 to 2 drop in to both eyes. clean eyes with fresh and cold water. tests..cbc,urine r/m,mp,widal, drink warm water, juice,green veg. Soups,lquid diets, dalia, take protein diets, tulsi leaf in tea or warm water, geloy juice, avoid cold area,cold things .i.e. ice creams, fast/junk foods, chinese foods,spicy foods, fat meal, take bed rest , feel cold then cover body with warm cloths, avoid dust area, clean body, change cloths daily, change bed sheet daily, avoid stress.avoid non-veg.,avoid alcohol intake if smokes avoid also that. Cold sponging if get high fever.

Headache can occur with sleep deprivation as in your case. 1. Take breaks between study and splash eyes with water and close them for 5 mins and relax. 2.Get your vision checked for refractive errors and wear spectacles if needed. 3. Try to get proper sleep of 7 to 8 hours in night. Do not push yourself to study when in pain. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol for relief. 5. If problem persists, consult again.
