Homeopath,
Hello Dr. I have got pimple & acne problem from past 10 years. I get numerous pimples & my skin gets dull whenever I ...
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you when ever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples. Kindly note that this medication may not be sufficient enough to take care of your problem. These medicines are based on the symptoms of your diseased condition & these medicines need to be complemented by further deep-acting remedies in order to permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the disease. So I would suggest you to consult me privately via lybrate as it is very necessary to diagnose the proper underlying cause of your problem if you are wishing for a permanent relief from your problems. A permanent annihilation of the underlying cause of the disease will not only provide you relief from your troubles but it will also cease any chance of further relapse of that particular disease condition.

I have allergy towards dust and cold. Monthly twice I will sneeze severely. From third day I will cough with secretion. I will cough severely and it starts with a pricking sensation in ma throat It started long years before.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, dust allergy occurs due to the production of histamine in blood. This production of histamine is provoked by the entry of certain foreign substance in our respiratory system through the air we inhale. A detailed case taking along with some blood test results are required to diagnose the proper underlying cause behind dust allergy. Please conduct a laboratory test of your blood for tc, dc, esr & ige. Revert back with the results & consult me privately via lybrate. In the mean-time you can take the following medications:- 1) 5 drops of homoeopathic pyrogen 1000, thrice daily in empty stomach. 2) 30 drops of homoeopathic mother tincture cassia soph q, thrice daily, after meals, in a glass of water.

There are several home remedies available which can help you get rid of allergies. We will focus on some of them. Applying avocado paste on rashes is an effective home remedy against allergyAnother effective home remedies that help get rid of allergies is use of honey. However, while purchasing honey, see to it that you don? T buy impure honey. One of the best home remedies in curing allergies is drinking green tea. It contains natural antihistamine. Drink at least 1-2 cups of green tea everyday. Add some honey to it for taste. If you are not that fond of green tea then you can also drink black tea as it is from the same plant family as the green tea. Chamomile tea is also popular when it comes to home remedies for curing allergies. Drinking two to three cups a day of chamomile tea can help fight allergies. Apple acid vinegar is also one of the effective home remedies for allergies. All you have to do is add some vinegar in water and with the help of the gauze piece apply it on your body. You can also add the mixture in your bathtub for better results. One of the trusted and time tested home remedy for allergy is ginger. Just peel and crush one piece of fresh ginger and then keep it in a mug and pour hot water over it. Allow it to stay in the water for sometime (5-10 minutes) and consume it for a minimum once a day. The other best home remedies especially for allergies such as rashes is melting potato flour in one glass of water and then adding the mixture in a bucket full of water or a bath tub. You can then bath/ relax in the bathtub for at least thrice a day to get rid of rashes. These were some of the home remedies that help treat allergies.

General Physician,
ASTHMA-CONTROL A MUST
**************************************
Most uncontrolled asthmatics think they are controlled
Two-thirds of patients with uncontrolled asthma think their disease is well under control.
Asthmatics on proper medicines can not only lead a normal life but also reduce their future complications. Drugs include those medicines that keep the disease at bay as well as those that are used when a flare-up occurs. Uncontrolled asthmatics will invariably end up with right heart complications due to persistent lack of oxygenation in the blood.

Most asthmatics fail to perceive their level of disease control and with an uncontrolled state they often feel that their asthma is under control.

A study published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, examined 1,048 subjects with inadequate asthma control. When asked how they would rate their asthma control over the past 14 days, nearly 69 percent considered themselves to be completely or well controlled. Failure to perceive inadequate asthma control was more likely to be found in patients between the ages of 41 and 50 years.

In severe asthma, low blood oxygen levels might impair a person's ability to assess their own breathing difficulty.

Another reason is that the notion of asthma control seems poorly understood by asthmatic patients. Also, mild to moderate asthma limits the activities of a person and they over a period of time take that as their normal limits.
