Hi lybrate-user tips for weight loss eat fresh vegetables daily. Avoid having sugar completely. Eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread; avoid everything made from white flour and make whole wheat bread, chapattis and brown rice a way of life. Do not skip a meal and eat three meals a day. Drink plenty of water to eliminate the toxins from the system. Limit your fat intake to 2-3 teaspoons a day. Increase the fiber intake as it provides a sense of fullness and also prevents hunger pangs. Take antioxidants for protecting the body against the toxins released during weight loss. Exercise catalyzes your efforts to lose weight and even regular walking for thirty minutes can give you the benefits of an aerobics exercise. To improve the metabolism, try increasing the duration, frequency, intensity of your daily workout. Remember that maintaining the ideal weight is a lifetime commitment and not a short-term affair. You can do yoga in any sequence but in surya namaskar, you have to do all 12 yoga in their own sequence only.

Have creatinine 2.8,I am diabetic-2 and FBPS and PPBS are normal with medicine. I am on depression and sleeping tab. I want to reduce weight from 70 to 60 kg, can not do walking due to knee problems. I like Dates very much but I am afraid, it may increase my sugar level. Q- Should I take 4 nos of Dates daily.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Do not worry you can have four no. Of dates but better to split them into two in the morning & two in the evening as the effect on blood sugar will be less - also try to walk for 10-15 min after your meals as it reduces the increase in blood sugar & also helps in proper digestion, reduce intake of other carbs accordingly when taking dates.

Joint pains or muscles cramps are the usual suspects when it comes to leg pain. Joint pains are usually a symptom of arthritis, a common occurrence during old age. Leg muscles are mostly affected by muscle cramps. From an ayurvedic point of view, all pains are caused by the vata dosha.

What are doshas?
The doshas define the natural inclination of the body and they comprise the three main energies that affect your health and well-being. The three doshas are pitta, vata and kapha. Thus in ayurveda, pain is caused when the doshas are vitiated. In ayurveda, ama is the name given to the toxic materials in the body that are caused by improper indigestion. Therefore, pain occurs when there is too much ama build-up in your body.

Useful herbs for treating leg pain
1. Clove- it provides instant relief from pain, especially if they are due to muscle cramps. Apply clove oil in a poultice over the affected area.
2. Ginger- since ginger has great painkiller properties, it can be added to a regular diet to deal with chronic leg pain.
3. Liquorice- muscle aches can be treated with liquorice roots infused in water overnight.
4. Madhuca- applying madhuca oil over leg pains, especially if they are due to rheumatism, then it can give great results.
5. Pepper- pepper aids in proper blood circulation by helping dilating the superficial blood vessels.

Dietary regulations for leg pain
To help with chronic leg pain, leafy vegetables, green vegetables, vitamin c-rich foods, plantains that are rich in potassium, magnesium and calcium must be consumed. Coffee and chocolate must be avoided at all costs. The consumption of water cannot be stressed enough as one of the leading causes of leg pain is dehydration of insufficient fluids in the body. Water helps flush out the toxins in the body, thus getting rid of the vitiated doshas.

Ayurvedic treatment for leg pain
For external use, mahanarayana tailam is extremely effective. Warming the oil before application will give best results.
For internal use, simhanada guggulu, a mild laxative, laxmi vilas rasa and pratapa lankeshwara rasa are prescribed.

Start doing a jooging regime every alternative days and jog for 45 minutes, do this for 3 months. Secondly to burn the fat near your chest you need to burn the fat otherwise it will turn into gynecomastia (male breast). Exercises to do: skipping start from 100 everyday and target 2000 skips in a day (non stop all at once) in 20 minutes. Secondly. Start doing pushups everyday, target 100 pushups in 4 sets the task is challenging but if you could do it you will be amazed by the results.

Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Remember, there's no magic bullet for weight loss. The key to losing weight is burning more calories than you consume. Choose a variety of healthy foods — such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean sources of protein — and include physical activity in your daily routine. Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) .
