Homeopathy has a number of uses. It is a popular form of medication since it has negligible side effects. Homeopathic medicines act slowly and it can be quite a while before you notice physical changes.

As with any homeopathic medicine, no one cure fits all. When prescribing homeopathic medication for weight loss, a doctor will need to understand your detailed medical history, lifestyle and overall constitution. Homeopathic medication to lose weight works by stimulating metabolism. Thus, in order for the medication to be effective, it needs to be accompanied by regular exercise and a controlled diet.

  • Calcarea carbonica: This is prescribed in cases where weight gain is due to thyroid problems and when fatty tissue is accumulated in the abdomen. They also have a slow metabolism and often suffer from constipation. It can also be prescribed to women suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Disease to trigger weight loss.
  • Natrum mur: Patients who have been prescribed natrum mur for weight loss have usually put on weight due to chronic stress and depression. Their weight is often concentrated on the thighs and buttocks. They also often suffer from anemia.Natrum Mur can also be prescribed in combination with Ignatia when weight gain is triggered by depression.
  • Lycopodium: This is used mainly in cases where excess fat deposits are concentrated on the thighs and buttocks. These people often suffer from indigestion with common complaints of flatulence and constipation. They are also very irritable and prone to overeating.Lycopodium and calcarea carb are often prescribed together to trigger weight loss in patients suffering from hypothyroidism.
  • Nux vomica: A sedentary lifestyle is one of the most common causes for obesity and excessive weight. In such cases, nux vomica is an effective form of treatment. People who can be benefitted by nux vomica often also suffer from constipation and intolerance to cold drafts.Nux Vomica can also be prescribed in combination with Alumina.
  • Antimonium crudum: This is usually prescribed to obese children who have a tendency to overeat. These children also often suffer from indigestion alternating between diarrhea and constipation.
  • Graphites and Sepia: This is usually prescribed to women who may have put on excess weight due to menopause. They can be used on their own or in combination depending on the personality of the woman and the symptoms showcased.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

Is it ok to drink a glass of water after having a meal? Some say you should not drink with after having meal for flat tummy. But I can not avoid it.

Hi Lybrate user no its not fine of having water with or after meal there is a gap of atleast 20 _30 min after meals if you really want watet in between or immediate after meal then only take few sips of it not full glass and please tk some luke warm water after that.

Abdominal Laparoscopy - Things You Must Be Aware Of Pre & Post Surgery!

Abdominal Laparoscopy is a surgical diagnostic procedure, which is used to examine the organs inside the abdomen. It is an invasive procedure, but only small incisions are made.
The procedure is usually done in the hospital and the patient is given general anaesthesia to make the procedure pain free. The laparoscope is inserted through an incision in the abdominal wall. As it moves along, the image of the inside of your abdomen is then seen on the monitor. After the exam, laparoscope and instruments are removed and the cuts are closed. Laparoscopy is usually done as an outpatient procedure. This means that you will be able to go home the same day.

Why Is laparoscopy performed?
Laparoscopy is often used to identify the source of abdominal pain. It is usually performed when x-rays or ultrasound are unable to determine the root cause of the problem. Laparoscopy allows your doctor to see inside your body in real time and helps to diagnose or help discover what the abdominal problem is.

Tips to deal with laparoscopic surgery

Before Surgery

  1. The first and the foremost thing is to prepare yourself for the surgery by watching some videos and going through some blogs on it as doing so will help you clear your doubts
  2. Do not eat or drink anything 8 hours before the procedure
  3. Make sure someone accompanies you on the day of the surgery
  4. Fix your Pre Op appointment to ask any questions or address any concerns regarding the surgery, anaesthesia, etc
  5. Shave the area where the surgery will be performed. This will substantially reduce itchiness
  6. Lastly, prepare your hospital bag and discuss it with the person who is going to accompany you so that he/she knows what all you packed

After Surgery

  1. Don’t lie down in bed all the time. Keep yourself active by moving every two hours as it promotes healing and helps eliminate gas pain
  2. Wear comfortable clothing
  3. Do not take bath for a week. However, you can take a shower 24 hours post surgery
  4. Drink at least 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day to prevent constipation. If constipated, take a stool softener.
  5. While sneezing or coughing, hold a pillow against your stomach to lessen the pain
  6. Roll onto your side and sit up using your arms for support and then stand up
  7. Don’t drive for two weeks
  8. Refrain yourself from intercourse, douching, and swimming
  9. Make sure to visit your doctor 2 to 3 weeks post surgery to make sure your wounds are healing

It might take some time for the wounds to heal, but in case of any prolonged pain do remember to consult your doctor immediately.

There is no such medicine. If you want to grow weight, Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

hello lybrate user you can loose your weight naturally by using following tips. it will also benificail in your piles problem. weight reduction is achieved by three dimensional approach. 1. Dietary changes- you must take high fiber and whole grain diet like khichdi, daliya, corn flex, fruits-apple, guava,papaya, soups, multi grain atta chapati etc. Avoid- deep fried, spicy, sweets, cold drinks, curd etc. 2. Life style modification- avoid sedentary life and be active. Go for morning or evening walk, do some yoga and exercises. Cycling, swimming and outdoor games can also help. Avoid nap / day sleep. Do suryanamaskar, trikonasan, bhujangasana, yogic jogging etc 3. Ayurvedic medicines- some ayurvedic medicines like medohar gugulu, ayurslim capsules along with Panchkarma treatment can reduce weight quickly.

More than living long you should desire to live healthy and then long life. 1. Eat healthy food 2. No food must be eaten which is advertised on T V and media. Healthy food is never advertised. 3, Do daily Yoga and not Gym. 4. Sleep by 10 pm and wake up at 5 am. 5. Be respectful to elders and parents. 6. Think good of others. 7. Last but not least do not Masturbate, if semen goes out in the sleep do not worry.
