I am diagnosed with type2 diabetes. Hba1c 8. 3. Doctor prescribed janumet, twice a day. After 3 months, my hba1c came to 5. 8. I stopped all tabs and exercised regularly with diet control. After 3 months my hba1c is 6. 9. Shall I continue without tablet. I want to control diab without tab. Is it ok with this hba1c

Dear , yes, your blood sugar levels are ok at present and it is because of your exercise and diet. However this may also be what we call as a" honeymoon" period and your diabetes may bounce back. Do keep a regular check on your sugar levels. For the time being you may discontinue the tabs.

To reduce weight you have to adopt a twin pronged strategy of Exercise + Better Nutrition. You need to indulge in one hour of exercise daily. Gym is better because pools are crowded and it becomes more of a bath tub experience. In gym you can do one hour of intensive exercises. Hye. Food planning will depend on the amount of proteins that you need for the day. To decide the proteins, other nutrients many parameters need to be considered. This requires personalised planning. You don't want to end up eating low amounts of protein too. Cornflakes is not low protein, neither is it low sodium or potassium as well. You might want to skip packaged foods.

5 Reasons Your Partner Might Be Avoiding Sex

There are innumerable explanations as to why couples in long-term relationships find themselves in situations when either one of the partner’s starts avoiding sex for a reason the other cannot comprehend.

The explanation for your partner’s behaviour may be due to an underlying medical issue or various emotional or psychological factors. Following are a few reasons why your partner does not want to have sex anymore:

1. Physical factors: Your partner might be experiencing a loss of libido due to physical ailments, particularly ones pertaining to the endocrine and circulatory systems. Disorders such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, heart complications to name a few, affect the hormone levels in the body, which leads to the lack of sexual drive.

2. Psychological factors: Many mental and emotional factors also affect libido in both men and women. Stress and depression, which often cause sleep deprivation, are two of the biggest causes of unwillingness to have sex. Talk to your partner about what the root of the problem is and ascertain what is creating stress and triggering depression. Communication and counselling are the main ways of dealing with such a situation.

3. Excessive masturbation: If a person watches too much pornography and consequently indulges in masturbation frequently, sexual function is automatically lowered when it comes to performing during intercourse. If your partner masturbates too much, simply ask that the practice be put an end to.

4. Lack of affection: When there is a lack of warmth and affection between partners, the desire to engage in sexual intercourse is automatically diminished. Communicate with your companion to determine ways in which you can rekindle love and passion in the relationship.

5. Addiction to narcotics: If your partner has developed an addiction to certain narcotics , such as nicotine, morphine and various anti-depressants, that are known to reduce sexual drive, it could be the reason for not wanting to have sex.

The reasons for developing an aversion to sex are often extremely subjective and complex. Open and honest communications between partners may unravel the problem but in many cases, therapy and medical assistance provides the solution. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.

Don't worry. Approx a child is thrice his birth wt at the age of one year. Hence his wt should be around 9 kg. He is now around 8 kg. A little difference is acceptable. He is not grossly underweight. Don't worry.

Hye. Thankyou for your query. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice, half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

I'm a footballer. But I don't have much strength needed by a footballer to last 90 minutes. What can I do to increase my ability, speed and strength?

For a footballer strength is very important. You need to increase your muscle strength by improving your protein intake. You need to follow a high protein diet. At least 4-5 pieces egg white. Because albumin is a protein what you need. Milk protein, fish/meat protein, nuts etc. Other then protein you need to hydrate yourself. Carbs is also very important source of energy. So a balance diet is important to follow.

Maintain proper hygiene, take filtered water only. No smoking, no alcohol if any. Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2 hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help chew your food properly at time of lunch and dinner. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy/usg done. Tab nexpro-l 1 tab empty stomach.

Hi - first you make some fat by putting carbohydrate sources foods like rice, chapati etc. Add butter & ghee as necessary. You v to over all increase your calorie by good quality high calorie bfoods through cereals, pulses, legumes & obviously high quality protien like egg, fish, chicken etc. Vegetables, fruits can help y always. After some weight gain you can come to me for muscles.

You should avoid oily stuff. You can have coconut water daily. Try to have cucumber juice after each meal. Have cinnamon-turmeric-fennel drink daily once on empty stomach. You will definitely experience change in your body weight.
