I started to go gym. Need to know maximum time period I can walk on treadmill to avoid any bad medical condition now or in future.. Does 40 min daily walk on average speed of 4 cn harm my knees or something else?

Gud quation lybrate-user ji. See gym can have some adverse effect if you do not follow it properly. Wht I think you do not need to walk daily. 20 mins walk ulternate day at a speed of 5 to 6 km/ hr wil not harm your knees. And help your heart. You wil not get diabetes or bp. Bt see that you do not use inclination mode. If you want to use inclination you can reduce the speed to 4 to 5 km/ hr and duration 10 min. On other days you can do cycling for 20 mins.

Sir, basically I am cardiology patients, done angioplasty, and regularly taking tab- efiplat 10, astoor 10, nebicard2.5 &nexpro 20 for (emty stomac morning) in addition to this I ahve problem of disc prolaps l5, si, due to which I have lumpiness over both legs. Recently I had problem of prostate enlarge bph grade 1, due to which urination was difficult. Upon consultation with urologist urivoid-20, twice a day &afidura tab 0-0-1, lessix 0-1-0 is taking, also I am antral gastritis patient, usually I take veg, however occasionally takes chicken too. My problem is I have swelling over both legs (swelling covers angles, foot,) after taking food or water swelling increase, also stomach gets upset, hence feel fatigue. This discomforts I am facing since march 2015. Please advise what is the reason for swelling? and why my legs are getting lumpiness and pain, also abdominal difficulties? request you to advise,

You might be suffering from shin splints. After jogging or running (specially for beginners) the muscles and flesh along the edge of the shin bone become inflamed, so it hurts to walk, run, or jump. Jogging on hard surfaces can bring this on. You are more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward. Some tips to deal with this condition : 1.Rest your legs, do not jog when in pain. 2. Ice pack application for 10 mins at least 4 times a day. 3. Anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen to be taken round the clock for 3 days. 4. Stretching and warm up to be done before jogging or running. 5. Gradual and step wise increase in physical activity. 6. Avoid running on hard surfaces. 7. Wear good quality running shoes. For further queries please consult again.

Take cinnamon powder with honey in the empty stomach in the morning, also take ginger juice or morabba at 11 am. Once a week take laxative to clean the stomach.

Hi lybrate-user. For fitness good protein is required. First class protein like milk, egg, chicken and fish you can add in your diet. Take Pulses & legumes like rajma, beans, soybean, lentil at lunch or dinner. Take banana shake at breakfast. Avoid ready to eat food & fried item. Thanks.

Please Take almonds soaked in water overnight Take walnut without soaking Take black pepper, once a week only, in very small quantities

For regaining cheeks few diet tips - not to eat fried food items and can eat all green vegetables, moong, chana, dal, rice etc and to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati and to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day and if possible eat eggs on alternate days and if possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla and eat seasonal fruit.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your problem could be due to stress & anxiety or hormonal imbalance along with improper nutrition & exercise - if you are disturbed due to some personal problem then you have to try to find a solution for it so that your stress & anxiety is reduced - try to set a daily routine & follow it, especially sleep & wake up time should be fixed, have meals on time, do regular exercise - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein foods such as milk & milk products, eggs, soya products, beans, lentils, pulses, peas, sprouts, nuts, healthy fats as in olive, canola, sunflower oil, walnuts, almonds, avocados - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water per day for proper hydration - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, play a game, do yoga & deep breathing to keep your mind & body fit - get blood hemoglobin, sugar & thyroid levels checked if not done.

Hi, do regular exercise. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight include protein rich food in your diet. No drink before meals. If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your diet. Take small and frequent meals.
