Research scholar.... good. We need more research scholars. you must be having lot of sitting work. You need to strengthen your back muscles by exercises. Take calcium rich diet and sunlight exposure for vitamin D. Check Vitamin D levels. If its low, then need to take medicines.

Most probably you are suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands. We have well equipped center in delhi. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x rays before a final decision can be taken. You will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the Plantar Fascitis weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water Ask your father to apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. If still the pain persists then it is better to keep TENS stimulation at one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.

Back pain is caused due to various reasons. A detailed evaluation is needed to diagnose exact problem. However you can start doing some exercises to relieve from your back pain. Do back strengthening exercises thrice a day. Do back stretching exercises if you feel any tightness. Modify your life style, sitting and standing postures. Sit erect and make sure your feet is touching the floor. Avoid bending forward repeatedly. You can also do hot water fermentation with added salt in it for instant pain relief. It will give soothing effect. Follow this and revert back.

Herbal and Home Remedies for Back Ache

Herbal and Home Remedies for Back Ache

In our fast paced life, a wrong bend or an incorrect posture is quick to trigger a back ache. It can also occur because of reasons like arthritis, improper diet, lack of physical activity, an improper lifting of a heavy object, excessive physical labour or pregnancy. Most white collared professionals are a victim of a sedentary lifestyle where they spend hours on end sitting in the same position. In fact prolonged sitting is also a cause for weight gain, obesity, joint problems, poor health and even premature death.

Our instant reaction is to take a painkiller and get relief from a back ache. But painkillers often come with unwanted side effects and it is best not to take them unless prescribed by a physician. Some of the commonly prescribed painkillers in the market increase your risk to a heart attack by 2 to 4 times, cause cardiovascular problems, gastrointestinal problems, like digestive tract bleeding and even kidney problems. Instead, back ache has several home remedies that can wonders. It will require a little patience but the zero side effect factor and long term relief will eventually be great for you.

Try these herbal and home remedies for backache:

  1. Internal and external pain relief with Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory compounds that can work well for pain relief. You can start by making Ginger tea. To do this, add 2-3 slices of ginger in half cup boiling water and simmer it for 10 - 15 minutes. You can add honey and drink it 2-3 times a day. You can also add half tea spoon crushed peppercorns and 2-3 cloves to this tea. Adding a dash of black salt helps in improving the taste.
  2. Harness the power of Basil: Add 10 Basil leaves to a boiling cup of water and continue to boil it until it reduces to half. You can add a dash of salt to this and drink it through the day.
  3. Home remedies with exercise: Not only should you stretch between long sitting hours, you should also get some back exercise suggested by a physical trainer with expertise in the field.
  4. Trigger your inner healing by releasing endorphins: Endorphins act as a pain blocking mechanism in the body and doing certain activities you like can help release them. From walking for 20 minutes to aerobics, to yoga to meditation to chiropractic care, you can try whatever makes you happy and calm to trigger your inner healing.
  5. Garlic: These tiny cloves healing powers are well known for a variety of body ailments including blood pressure. Taking a couple of cloves early in the morning on empty stomach or massaging with garlic oil helps relieve back ache

Aches and pains after viral fevers are common and they usually go away at their own in about 6 weeks time. If the problem persists beyond 6 weeks then, you would be strongly advised to seek opinion of a rheumatologist. ANA of 1: 40 is of no consequence. But, if your symptoms persist for more than 6 weeks then, the rheumatologist would have to correlate this with your clinical symptoms to reach some logical conclusion. There is another factor not related to your joint problem; that is high uric acid levels in your blood. This indicates that you may be ingesting more calories (eating more food) that you require; you may not be doing regular exercises to control your weight. High uric acid level is an indication that you may have a condition called metabolic syndrome (high uric acid is simply a marker of this syndrome) which means - being over weight with cholesterol problems and likely hood of developing high blood pressure or even heart disease and/or diabetes in future. As uric acid is simply a marker of this problem, taking any drug to reduce uric acid usually does not help. The only thing that helps is to decrease the total calories that you are ingesting (eating) daily. So, decrease your food intake and increase fruits, salads, in your diet, increase foods containing a lot of fibres, drastically reduce oil, ghee, butter and completely avoid taking Junk food including soft drinks, potato chips, pizzas, burgers, etc. But, regular exercise is one of the most important things for those with high uric acid. Beer, seafood and red meat are the other items that have problems and cause rise in uric acid levels. Remember, all vegetarian food is fine and you can take that without any fear for their effect on uric acid levels.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
