  1. Spicy foods are usually rich in anti-oxidants, a regular intake of which helps to prevent cancer, respiratory diseases and other heart disorders.
  2. Peppers have a high amount of ‘capsaicin’ in them which is particularly beneficial in resisting abnormal swelling of different body parts. Capsaicin also helps in the regulation of metabolic functions of the body which prevents further serious complications of diabetes and cardio-vascular disorders. Capsaicin also helps to prevent sinus infections, hypertension and severe intestinal disorders. At times, Capsaicin acts as a pain-reliever.
  3. Peppers also contain a healthy amount of Vitamin C which defends the body against cancer and helps in the formation of collagen (building blocks of the skin) and other connective tissues. I am 22 and I feel sleepy all the time, even during physical work such as running etc. I yawn almost 7-8 times per hour. And I sleep at least 7 hr a day.

I am getting one side headache very often. It pains very hard for long time. Please help me to get rid of it.

1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan /mri of brain to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist.

I have got lot of itching in my whole body especially in my groin area. I put itch guard regularly but after sometime it's same problem. I even got lot of itching in my scalp as well. I got little spots on my scalp which feels as if there is little sweeping kind but it's not painful. But it itches a lot. I shampoo everyday and take bath with hot water throughout the year. Sometimes I couldn't sleep because of this itching. My hips and groin area has lot of itching although I wash it properly everyday. Please suggest.

Hello. I had fever n stomach pain also. I took meds for fever. Fever gone but loosemotions starts with pain in stomach. I went to the docs he gave me meds but very little improvement. Today again I visit to the doctor n he asked me for stool test. Can you pls give me an idea what disease I can suffering from.

Hi lybrate user. It is due to irritating digestive system. At first you have to follow some basic things so that you get better results in a short period of time. 1) try to take liquid diet only for few days 2) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast and fermented foods 3) avoid late night sleeping habits. A) take 30 ml of audumbaravleha and 10 ml of honey along with 30 ml of lukewarm water, before meals half an hour. B) take half tsf of avipattikar churna and half tsf of lavanbhaaskar churna after meals. C) take 2-2 tablets of moutik yukta kamdudha ras along with daadimavleha. Hi, what is the exact size and location of the kidney-stone? prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes you may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. 1 eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, restrict foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, bhindi (okra), spinach, swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people.
