I have severe back pain when I wake up in the morning. It fades after sometimes. I don't do much hardworking though. What is the solution?

The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. I frequently have the neck pain and shoulder pain. what the solution for it. Pain is not so sever but still feel uncomfortable during dat time.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I developed a pain in the lower back near the backbone. Sometimes it's concentrated to a single point, other times I can feel the pain on my right buttock upper portion just next to the backbone on the muscle. The pain in the back is tolerable, maybe at 2 or 3 out of 5. But becomes a little severe when I try to bend forward. I got this pain around 4 weeks back and I thought it would be as a result of a bad sleeping posture. I just noticed that the pain has not gone, its been 4 weeks now. I also have a pain on my right leg just about the knee. Not sure if these two pains are connected.

The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain. For this the best treatment would be to undergo Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.

Hello, till 72 hour keep iceing to reduce swelling hereafter start hot and cold therapy, keep ankle immobile with ankle brace, tke mild analgesic like paracetamol 500 mg.

Try to break after 20 mins drive and wear a lumbosacral belt during drive and apply hot fermentation for 10 mins at sleeping time.

Do hot saline fomentation, get your blood tested for sugar and uric acid to rule out diabetes and gout, wear only sports shoes while going out of house.

I am 75 years old. And since a fortnight, I am having cramps of calf muscles in both the legs with severe pain. This is early in the morning before getting up from bed. It lasts few minutes. Sometimes having pain in hamstring too. Please suggest medicine for cure.

As far as the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is considered please understand that it is an auto-immune disorder, whose treatment is not mentioned in principles in any treatment modalities.
