5 Must Do Exercises To Maintain A Healthy Spine!

Spinal cord is a very important part of your body as it renders support to your body.  It also gives your body a good posture and thus maintaining a healthy spine is very essential. An unfit spinal cord can lead to various complicated problems.

The following are 5 must do exercises in order to maintain a healthy spine:

  1. Exercising your core muscles can help you to maintain a fit spine. Your core muscles refer to the muscles of your lower back and your abdominal muscles. These muscles give support to your spine. So exercising them can give you a healthy spine.
  2. Walking regularly can also give you a healthy spine. It is suitable for people of all age groups. Daily walking can help you to recover from various spinal illnesses as well such as spinal stenosis.
  3. Swimming is also a good exercise for maintaing a fit spinal cord. Swimming helps to exercise all back muscles and thus, gives you a healthy spinal cord.
  4. Lying down straight with your face down on an even and firm surface for about twenty minutes can help you to get a healthy spine and also a good body posture.
  5. Cycling can also help you achieve a healthy spine. While cycling, all your back muscles and the muscles of the lower part of your body are engaged in physical activity. If the muscles of your lower back are strong, then it can help you to keep your spine fit.

Other than these exercises, stretching your limbs and other stretching exercises are also beneficial for a healthy spine. But it is highly recommended for you to consult a doctor before doing any exercise in order to be guided in the proper manner and avoid further complications.

Dear you have not mentioned what kind of work you do. But do a few things as suggested below, it will reduce your problem. 1. When working take five minutes break even one hour. 2. Drink plenty of water while working. 3. Take a calcium tablet and one multivitamin tablet every day. 4. Increase quantity of protein in your diet. Regards

Severe back pain both of you spine x-ray must avoid toward bending, long standing, sitting for you avoid few days and your mother will continue forever this preventions ok tk physiotherapy treatment for your mother and you will heat fermentation twice a day and rest spine stretching exercise both of you in daily routine.

I am currently suffering for back and spinal pain after my c section. How can I relieved from the pain?
1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

Physiotherapy treatment does help to reduce back pain, but beware of quacks, electrotherapy will be used to reduce the pain but eventually therapeutic exercises for the back will give long lasting relief. Necessary precautions like heavy weight lifting, forward bending and sitting without a back support should be avoided. Use a firm mattress for sleeping.

Correct you posture first. Avoid too much forward bending. While sitting your back must touch d back of chair or you can use backrest. You should do low back stretching and strengthening exercises.

Walking is a safe exercise but due to you being overweight, your feet are unable to take strain of extra load. Try cycling insted & swimming if facility is available or do other exercises which involve the entire body instead of just lower limbs. At 28 you should start dieting & eating healthy without being conscious about tough diet charts & making healthy eating will become a way of life, not a punishment. No sugar or sweets or bad fats through street food and burgers etc. Lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits which will give you enough minerals and vitamins to live healthy, but no juices, have fiber through these, because it is filling and does cleanse the food pipe. Drink lots of water, preferrably the home made ors variety with juice of a lemon with warm water with a pinch of salt added along with a spoon of sugar/honey. Good proteins are filling and nourashing too- boiled egg/ toned milk/ curd/ chhachh/a katori of assorted nuts for good fats & proteins/ dry roasted chane/ 2-3 dates. Apple or orange or banana as a snack but no packed foods to munch. Eat regularly & eat nourishment. No smoking or exposure to pollution. One full meal of daal-roti-chawal-sabji during evenings only for satiety only as by now your food pipe has had good nutrients, lose weight @ 5 kg only & slowly your heart beat will stabalise too.

Take piece of paper write your strenghts and weaknesses. Then you write what three things you want without which you cannot live. If you already have then write next two and if you do not have then start thinking how best you can get it.(please do not want those things which are not feasable at this momments) considering your strenght and weakness. Do your real self analysis.

I am 19 year old boy and have neck pain right side, the pain continues till all the day, the neck muscles often become stiff in right side, the jaws become leaked and often gives a bony sound, when I unlock it gives bony sound in neck when I move side by side, and the pain goes to right hand nerve of last two fingers and rigt hand and back right side and I unable sit comfortably, and I unable write at least 1 hour it gives shoulder pain, I consulted many orthopedic doctors and they says that do shoulder, neck strengthening exercises but it didn't give complete cure, I am suffering from this pain since 1year pls tell me what about the problem& cureness.
