Mr Debu, For treating both hypertension and diabetes taking prescribed drugs is essential. If you are already on drug treatment, then only the diet control and exercise will provide additional benefit. If you are looking for only diet and exercise without any drug treatment, then i am not sure whether there is any benefit. For hypertension your diet should contain less of salt (not more than 2.3 g a day). Our average diet gives almost 8 to 10 g of salt. (Sodium chloride). This means all food preparations made at home should contain minimal salt, no salt on table, no salt to be added to salads or fruits. No processed foods as all those contain very high quantity of salt. No pickles and papads, no salty substances fried shave or chivada etc. For diabetes your diet should give exact calories based on your Ideal Body Weight, blood sugar levels and extent of daily physical activity.You should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Refrain from alcohol and smoking, red meat and egg yolk. Plus at lest 1 hour of exercise on all days of the week or at least on 5 days.

Hi, I am 31 years old. My body weight is 81kg & height is 175cm. I look average and not fatty. Blood results are okay and I am dust allergic only. I use only Foracort 100 rotacap once a day. I am quite okay with this. But the real problem is body weight. Some people say it is bone weight and can not be controlled. I am having problems with this weight. If I walk or run for 1-2 mins I will be exhausted, leg pains, ankle stress etc. My eating habits are healthy-as non veg I consume only eggs. I do not eat fish or meat/meat products. I like to do exercise and develop good looking body, but bcos of this weight I can not do anything for more than 10 mins or so. My weight is not hereditary as my parents have normal weights. Pls advice on how can I bring down my weight to 60-65 kgs. Thanks in advance.

Bone weight can not be reduced. But mass weight you can reduce by taking proper diet. You should avoid fatty oily a. Salt intake: maximum five gm per day. B. Do not add salt while cooking as iodine gets evaporated. Add after the cooking is done this c. Sugar intake 20 gm. White sugar. You may use jaggery or honey as alternate of sugar. D. Oil 30 ml per day e. Rice bran oil is the best oil. F. Avoid ghee and butter as much as possible. G. Coconut oil is best for massage. H. Water 1200 ml per day drink it as sip by sip. I. Drink luke water two glass atleast. J. Exercise atleast 6 minutes daily 2 minutes revolve all joints clockwise and anticlockwise wise five time each 2 minutes run on the spot in full speed 2 minutes deep breathing exercise. K. 600 calories breakfast. L. 500 cal. Lunch m. 300 cal. Dinner n. Snacks 150 cal. Follow this and be healthy.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg., eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin) , different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) Take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) Avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! Cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use Rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you FIT and YOUNG!! Medication: Take homoeopathic Rx - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa Tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Also, use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica Hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Apart from this, take Follihair tablets (multivitamin) - 1 tab. daily once for 1 month. Investigations advised: Get your blood tested for (empty stomach) - CBC, S. Iron, S. Folic acid, S. Ferritin, S. Calcium, S. Vitamin D3, S. Vitamin B12. If there is any family history of Thyroid dysfunction, get Thyroid function test done as well.

to priscibe sleeping pills like this offence .you will get good result with psycreatyst. It is not a psyco problem r something else. They will council you. better luck. If you don't want to consult come again I can prescribe you .

According to Ayurveda, ashwagandha (scientific name: Withania somnifera), also known as Indian ginseng, helps increase height. Ashwagandha contains various minerals that broaden the bone skeleton as well as its density. This in turn increases your height. You can easily find ashwagandha in an herbal store. 1. Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 2. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 3. Drink it every night before going to bed at least for 45 days to increase your height. 4. Note: For this remedy to work, you must avoid fast food completely. 2. Drink Milk Milk is rich in calcium, an important mineral for bone growth. Calcium also acts as a height booster. Besides calcium, milk has vitamin A and protein that are essential for overall development of the body, including height. To increase your height by a few inches, drink at least two to three glasses of milk daily. In addition, eating dairy foods like cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt and cream can have an effect on height.Do regular exercise daily, yoga, streching your body, sound sleep, all will help. Thanks Following are certain that to increase hieght helped me: Eating at least two hours before sleep Having a light dinner Regular consumption of sprouts Having regular eating schedule and avoiding habit of munching every now and then Avoiding consumption of tea, coffee, cold-drinks, ice-cream, chocolates etc Regular use of trifala powder in night or early morning Eating lots of fresh fruits Drinking lots of water Walking for 10-15 minutes after meals Eating soaked almonds in morning. The gulbandi variety is best. Eating in sukhasan. This posture is a wonderful gift of our ancient seers.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. Neither can you stop the over-production of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkercheif with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing facewash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifoium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Hello Lybrate user According to Ayurveda this condition is named as khalithya, caused by aggravated pitta dosha. Excess of Pitta dosha in the body is increased by hot climatic conditions, excessive intake of spicy, salty and sour food, hot and sharp food, tea, coffee, alcohol, meats and excessive smoking. Eating too much fried, oily, greasy, and acidic foods also aggravates Pitta. Pitta balancing herb (Eg: Shatavari —Asparagus) effective in treating hair fall. There are a number of other causes for hair fall like acute illness, scalp infection like dandruff, high stress, and thyroid imbalance, certain drugs, sudden weight loss and high fever. Always better to know the cause and avoid it . Supplements Can not work if the cause is not removed. Best tips to prevent hair loss Massage scalp weekly twice with Durdurpatradi taila. Take 11 guava leaves, 11 black pepper, 1 cup milk and one cup water. Put all of them in pot and boil it well, when it reduced to one cup, drink in empty stomach. Take this daily for at least six months or a year. 2.Boil cumin seeds in water and inhale the steam. It helps dilate the bronchial passage. 3.Take 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar. Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day 4.Pulses like old rice (rice which is stored for at least one year is called old), wheat, barley, kulattha, mung beans, arhar beans, etc . should be consumed. 5.Honey, warm drinks like herbal teas, spice teas are also okay. 6.Sprouts, nuts and seeds can be taken in moderate amount. 7.The heavy foods and those which make ama should be avoided. This mainly includes milk products like cheese, curd, butter milk, creams, and banana, etc. 8.Oily, greasy and fried foods which are difficult to digest should be avoided. 9.White flour and white sugar products should be avoided. 10.In addition, try to avoid the cold foods, cold drinks and other refrigerated things. 11.Avoid excessive or physically demanding exercise. Yoga and Pranayama can be helpful.

Please take rhus tox 200 - thrice daily for next 3-4 days. Also -- soak a washcloth in cool tap water, wring out the excess water and then sponge areas like your armpits, feet, hands and groin to reduce the temperature. Also, you can place cold, damp washcloths on your forehead and the back of your neck. The cloth pieces should be changed regularly after a few minutes. This remedy is beneficial when dealing with a high fever as it helps keep temperature under control. You can also take a bath in lukewarm water to relax your body. Taking a shower, however, may not be a good idea. Plus, needless to say, take as much rest as possible as it helps the body fight the illness. Note: do not use very cold water as it may cause the internal body temperature to increase.

For diabetes follow a diet low in carbohydrate, low in salt, low in fat and high in fibre. Avoid bakery products. Avoid too much rice and potato. Avoid fried stuff. Avoid chocolate, cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and fruit juices. Eat lots of vegetables. Walk for at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days in a week. Medicine and insulin will work better if you follow diet and exercise. Get your S creatinine level done. As medicine will depend upon your creatinine report.

Hello- Bleeding three days during menses is termed healthy in ayurvedic science. Any thing greater then this (which is commonly seen in females) can lead to blood deficiency in the body. So its a good sign and denotes that your health has been improved from last few months. There is absolutely nothing to worry.

Understand the reasons for this. Make a diary or a journal with entries for everyday. Note down when you feel depressed, anxious or stressed or any other negative emotion that bothers you. State the event that made you feel that way. Note down your thoughts during that experience or phase. Also note the consequences for that - what you did after that and what happened etc. This will help you understand your thoughts and emotions better and would help you understand the reasons for your fluctuating feelings. This will help in future to provide any remedies. No specific solution as of now. If possible consult a clinical psychologist.
