A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity,psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain,oats,green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed. Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos for pain in joints.

Hello doctors! I'd like to ask how does one remain "stress free" There's always something perpetually worrying me. How does one force themselves to think positively when nothing's going right? I'm diagnosed with anxiety and I'm not in a position to consult someone. I'm unable to enjoy food like I once used to since I'm slightly nauseous almost all the time and feel jittery 24x7. I'm told to meditate (I've tried this a few times doesn't work much), replace negative thoughts with positive ones (only if it were this easy) and I'm frustrated with my condition so much so that I cry sometimes to let it out temporarily. Are there any actual, practical ways to control this? Thank you.

Actually you need to change your attitude, the way you perceive, your mindset etc. You need to be strict in following the counseling advices given to you. You actually do not know how to carry out. To remain healthy you should follow 3 steps in your life 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

Hello, bedsores are easier to prevent than to treat, but that doesn't mean the process is easy or uncomplicated. And wounds may still develop with consistent, appropriate preventive care. Follow these steps which will minimize the occurence of sore: 1. Position changes are key to preventing pressure sores. These should be frequent to avoid pressure on one area. If your brother has enough upper body strength, he cantry repositioning himself using a device such as a trapeze bar. Caregivers can use bed linens to help lift and reposition you. This can reduce friction and 2. Taking good care of skin. Clean the area regularly with saline, keep it dry, prevent sweat and moisture collection. Use talcum powder to lessen the moisture. 3. Eating a healthy diet. Choose a healthy diet. You may need to increase the amount of calories, protein, vitamins and minerals in your diet. You may be advised to take dietary supplements, such as vitamin c and zinc. 4. Frequent changing of bedsheets. 5. If bed pan is being given it should be done in a proper manner to avoid any spillage of contents on the bedsheet or mattress. 6. Use of a good mattress. Use special cushions, a foam mattress pad, an air-filled mattress or a water-filled mattress to help with positioning, relieving pressure and protecting vulnerable areas. Your doctor or other care team members can recommend an appropriate mattress or surface. 7. Try elevating your brother to an angle of 30 degrees by placing pillows. 8. Protect bony areas with propering cushioning instead of directly making him lie on the hip. Any bony area i. E ankle, knee, lower back need to be protected. 9. Inspect the skin daily. Inspect the skin daily to identify vulnerable areas or early signs of pressure sores. 10. Drink enough to keep the skin hydrated. 11. Quit smoking 12. Stay active. Limited mobility is a key factor in causing pressure sores. Daily exercise matched to your abilities can help maintain healthy skin. A physical therapist can guide with exercises that can be done. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one cup of water. If you use freshly ground black pepper, then just add one-quarter teaspoon. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months.

Dear Lybrate user, gaps upto 3 mm can be effectively filled up using high quality tooth colored materials called composites. Gaps more than 5 mm require orthodontic (braces) treatment. A thorough treatment planning requires detailed clinical check up for which you may visit your local dentist. Hello lybrate-user, pimples need some medicines and creams so that your face can become totally clear. If you can send a picture of your face, I will be able to suggest the most appropriate course of treatment for you. Till then you can use calosoft lotion all over your face at night and moiz face wash to wash your face at least 3 to 4 times a day. Both these things will reduce the pimples and the oiliness also.

Pimple never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin c (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin e on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin e to a scar will help it heal faster. It is normal to lose about 30-80 strands of hair in a day. The common reasons behind hair fall are lack of essential nutrients in the body, improper and unhealthy dietary habits, hormonal imbalance, certain medications, dandruff, alopecia and other scalp disorders, stress and tension etc. Natural oils such as neelibhringadi can be used to massage the scalp for countering hair fall. Gently massage the scalp prior to head bath twice a week. Also check hemoglobin for anaemia and thyroid status with serum tsh. Have more proteins and trace minerals like copper, zinc, selenium in diet. Start taking amla hair nutrition supplement. Keep stress away with regular exercise, yoga, meditation. Get the underlying scalp condition like dandruff treated.
