How to stop hairfall? I have been suffering from hairfall since 6 months, and all hair broke from bottom! Suggest me some steps to remove this detrimental effect ?

Vaidya Visharad
Ayurveda, Narnaul
Hello Dear,According to Ayurveda, hair is a byproduct of bone formation. The factors responsible for building bones are also responsible for the hair re-growth. Ayurveda doctors believe that early hair loss is related to body type and the balance of the mind-body constitution (doshas). Excess pitta in the sebaceous gland, at the root of the hair, or folliculitis can make the person start losing hair. We loose hair after a certain growth and new hair replaces the older one, which means recycling of hair. Hair loss means losing more hair than you naturally lose. As our hair grows under a natural process, so we can take care of growth only by natural resources and methods. Visit us at www.Malhotraayurveda.Com

I'm 22 and I can't grow beard fully. I think it's genetic problem. Is there is any way I can overcome it and want about the use of minoxidil (regain).

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Folic acid can be found in whole-grain breads and cereals, leafy green vegetables, peas, and nuts. Increase your biotin intake. Biotin is an important water-soluble b vitamin, necessary for the the formation of fatty acids and glucose, as well as for metabolizing amino acids and carbohydrates. A biotin deficiency can lead to hair loss, so making sure you are getting the recommended amount is well worth the effort. Biotin is found in liver, oysters, cauliflower, beans, fish, carrots, bananas, soy flour, egg yolks, cereals, yeast, and other foods. Management: -exfoliate your face. Hair follicles can become blocked with dirt and prevent your hair from growing. Once a week, wear an exfoliant mask with eucalyptus. It's great for your skin, and can help promote hair growth. -massage your hair follicles. A gentle massage can help stimulate your hair follicles. Use your finger tips, and gently massage your face in circular motions for about two to three minutes. Try applying a facial moisturizer to create a smoother massage. -take in vitamin a. This vitamin stimulates the production of sebum, which keeps your hair follicles and skin hydrated. You can find vitamin a in eggs, meat, cheese, liver, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and dark green leafy vegetables. -get plenty of vitamin e, which has long been recognized as key for healthy skin, and can increase blood flow, which leads to an optimal environment for hair growth. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.

Natural diet is the best form of diet. I would say you are wasting your money over all these supplements. Such pills are usually given as last resort and that too for not over one month at most. Excess of vitamins can also damage the body. Such medicines should not be taken without doctors advise. Please remember that Gym Trainers are not Doctors. Most important things to remember is that Body is not built by Medicines. Body is built slowly by exercise and natural diet. You should aim to progressively build your strength and fitness. Bulky muscles are not necessary. You can caliberate your progress by the amount of weights you can pick. The Worlds best athletes/players like Ronaldo or Sachin or Virat don't have bulging muscles. Go for natural diet and be confident of yourself. Avoid falling in this trap of supplements. You will never get satisfaction and you will spend thousands of rupees over it.

Hi, I can imagine what you might be going through, but there are certain things which we, as normal human beings, need to remember. As human beings, we tend to cope with constant changes, by building new relationships at different stages in our life. However the priority keeps changing continuosly, like for example, a girl before her marriage gives utmost importance to her family. Whereas after marriage, her husband and children become her top priority, and this is the dictum. Similarly for you also the priorities should change and should start building new and healthy relationships with your friends at study or work place and you should make every effort to divert your attention and these feelings of insecurity. Remember that the basic human survival mechanism is based on the ability to adapt to changes, the failure of which will lead to mental unrest. Try to keep yourself as busy as possible and be surrounded by as many friends and other family members as possible. If it seems impossible to overcome this problem, then there is more to this problem and probably it needs to be dealt by a professional, either a psychiatrist or a counsellor.

This is for my dad. He recently had a minor heart attack and a stent was put via angioplasty in the vein which was blocked. I want to know the diet that he should follow now to be safe for future.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS

Only 1 sent should work like a shock treatment so that blockages are removed from rest of body including heart and brain. Give him minimum fats, no transfats, some good fats like a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits plus eating according to constitution. Take more proteins like milk and curds. All of these items are available in the market. Simple walks as exercise. People do vouch for apple cider vinegar and lemon juice plus a spoon of honey added to it -it does remove the blockages, so does pomegranate, no harm or side effects.

Yeast Infection - 5 Associated Causes

MBBS, MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Noida
Yeast Infection - 5 Associated Causes

Vaginal yeast infection occurs when too many yeast cells grow in the vagina, causing inflammation. It can spread by sexual contact but is not considered as a sexually transmitted infection. A yeast infection results in soreness or itching in the vagina with a burning sensation while urinating.

Causes of yeast infections in the vagina:
The vagina contains a balanced mix of yeast and bacteria; but if the balance is disrupted, it can lead to yeast infection. The reasons for overgrowth of yeast infections are:

  • If antibiotics are used more than usual, they can decrease the level of lactobacillus bacteria present in the vagina, changing the pH of vagina
  • Having high estrogen levels during pregnancy by using high dose birth control pills and hormone therapy can lead to the overgrowth of yeasts.
  • Having diabetes, especially when the blood sugar level is not checked and tends to be high
  • Having a weak or impaired immune system
  • Being overweight and having poor eating habits, including foods high in sugar level

Risk factors associated with the condition:
A number of factors can increase your risk of getting a vaginal yeast infection.

  • Using antibiotics heightens your risk of developing vaginal yeast infection as it disrupts the balance between yeast and bacteria. Excessive intake of antibiotics can kill healthy bacteria, leading to overgrowth of yeast organisms.
  • Having a weak immune system with conditions such as poorly controlled diabetes and HIV can lead to an overgrowth of yeast in the vagina. Corticosteroid medicines also weaken the immune system.
  • Wearing pants that are tight-fitting, nonabsorbent and undergarments that trap warmth and moisture
  • Having high estrogen levels due to an imbalance of hormone levels during pregnancy or menstrual cycle can also lead to vaginal yeast infection. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

Excessive Antibiotic Use

bachelor of science, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Meerut
Excessive Antibiotic Use
Antibiotics have saved many lives over the past 45 years. We are truly fortunate to have them available for serious bacterial infections. Unfortunately, antibiotics are excessively prescribed, especially to children. Overuse of antibiotics can cause devastating health consequences to children.
Antibiotic misuse is most likely to occur in children with ear infections (otitis media). Antibiotic therapy is the most common treatment of ear infections, with amoxicillin being the first choice. The side effects of amoxicillin include upset stomach, diarrhea, allergic reactions, and diaper rashes.
Antibiotics cannot treat infections caused by viruses or fungi. Most common respiratory infections, such as colds, flu, and sinus infections, are caused by viruses. Antibiotics should not be prescribed for viral infections because they are not effective. Giving antibiotics for viruses can't make the patient better - but might cause side effects and even allergic reactions.
Antibiotics may be absolutely necessary in certain situations, such as a life-threatening infection or when serious complications are present. For instance, if your child has symptoms of bacterial meningitis, there is no time to waste. He or she should be taken immediately to a doctor for antibiotics. We are very fortunate to have antibiotics for appropriate situations. However, antibiotics should be used in conjunction with methods that strengthen the immune system, and the depleted beneficial bacteria should always be replaced. Most importantly, the cause of the infection needs to be addressed for true healing to take place.
Thanks.
