You need to first treat her herpes aggressively her itching will subside. Any mild lactocalamine lotion can be applied to relieve the itching.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. My son whose Age- 15 month old weight- 8.5 kg Height- 76 cm (30") Weight during birth- 3.6 kg is very weak & not interested in taking food. He is always suffering from constipation, indigestion & bowel movement. We give him cerelac, boiled rice, potatoes ,wheat chuda& soya chhatua. Doctor advice not to give cow milk. His weight is very less with compare to age . He doesn't take any iron &folic acid syrup since last 15 month. So kindly advice me the balance diet & health supplement for healthy weight. Also recommend him to take which iron & folic acid syrup to avoid the deficiency of iron.

Yes your baby weight is less thts almst equivalent to 10 to 11 mnths baby with this good birth weight. You need to first rule out cause for his failure to thrive. For which he may need blood invstgtns step wise. Haemogram (anemia, thyroid profile, if he has recurrent loose stool nd bottle fed stop bottle feed he needs currently solid diet not milk 250 ml a day is more thn sufficient give him prantha, dahi, sbji, salads and fruits with extra ghee and makhan.

For just cold you can give her Wikoryl drops 0.5 ml twice daily but if ther is infection antibiotic is needed.

As miracle suggested give him plenty of fluids. Babies tend to dehydrate faster than adults as their weight is lesser than us. So give him chawal/dal/sabudana ka paani. And arrowroot is the best for dehydration. If he vomits also than it means some infection is there, ask every doctor first to give natural remedies, medicines given to babies are not a good option until the problem is critical.

Hello, ●New born baby is unable to distinguish between night & daytime. Hence, after few week, you have to educate the baby the difference between  day & night in order to establish sound sleep in the night. ●When its day, the baby should be brought in sun light to recognise the day time and similarly in night the baby should be kept in a dim. Light to recognise eving or night time. Her day should be brighter and the night be darker. ●This has to be ensured  that child is adequetly ,fed before going to bed & continued feeding 2 hrly. ●Some time the baby suffers from abdominal pain, earache,headache due to change in climate, cause her weep. ●  usually, we fail to assess the room- temprature being suitable for the baby to make her sleep, comfortably.Ac should be tuned & fan should be adjusted as per the need be. ● in the night while feeding the baby of your own  baby asleeps without taking sufficient quty of milk, makes her weep, again and again during sleep, please keep checking the fact & adjusted as the condition warants. My 4.5 month old baby boy did nit like breast milk and formula milk. Whenever we have tried to feed him they are reacting for vomiting. Please suggest me what to do.

Any normal baby will be accepting mothers milk or formula milk. If not accepting, investigations in a hospital will need to be done and under the care of a child specialist. Till then orally juice can be started.

10 days back I fed a stray cat by pouring a glass of milk in cats bowl. Im not sure if the glass touched cats bowl or some droplets spilled on the glass. My daughter who is 18 and half months old exactly after an hour picked the glass from the table and put it in mouth. What are the possibilities of rabies transmission here. Does she need booster dose now? It is exactly 5 months since she received her 4 dose of rabies vaccine in october for another nonbite exposure. This time out of anxiety I took her to my pediatrician and insisted her for a booster dose but she said boosters are recommended only after a year and that rabies is not a routine vaccine and there would be many side effects. As far as I read 2 Booster doses are recommended after the second exposure right. Am I putting my daughter at risk. Is there a time frame in which boosters are not required for the second exposure. I know exposure is highly unlikely in my case. But me being a paranoid mom want to ease my mind by understanding the logic here. Does my daughter who is just 1 and half years old have enough immunity against rabies without a booster?

As per your history there are very very very less chances that the rabies virus would have travelled from the cats saliva (also here we do not know if the cat has rabies) into the milk and from the milk into the baby's mouth which might have somewhere a break in the mucous membrane leading eventually to a rabies virus inside the body through the breach in the mucous membrane. The chances are definitely very very less. Rabies is a lethal disease and there are no contraindications for post-exposure. Post-exposure prophylaxis in previously vaccinated children: Children who have received previously full rabies postexposure prophylaxis or pre-exposure vaccination should be given only two booster doses, on days 0 and 3. Kindly discuss with your pediatrician.

HEALTHY FOOD INTAKE FOR STRENUOUS STUDY DAYS

Exams are here again. As always we tend to neglect our food in the process of concentrating on studies. But we forget that to concentrate on studies we have to concentrate on taking a healthy diet.

Here are a few diet tips that will help you balance your study as well as diet.

1. Eat small and nourishing meals every three hours, instead of just 2-3 heavy meals. The brain needs a constant supply of energy and a heavy meal will divert the blood supply to digest the heavy meal.

2. Your daily diet must include 2-3 fresh, seasonal fruits. Start your day with a boost of fruit energy. Have a banana with a tablespoon of honey as the first meal of the day. Fruits provide you not only with fiber, vitamins and minerals but also simple and complex carbohydrates for short and long duration of energy supply when studying. The fiber will also help to keep the bowel movement clear.

3. A good breakfast is a must for anyone. The breakfast must contain foods with complex carbohydrates like flakes, oats, rawa (semolina), daliya (wheat cracks), poha (rice flakes) or pav with vegetables and a protein source such as eggs, milk, pulse, sprouts or paneer.

4. Nuts and dry fruits like almonds, walnuts, and dates provide nutrients which enhance brain power and concentration and also provide an extended source of energy supply.

5. Include potassium-rich coconut water, citrus fruits/ juices and soups in your diet.

6. Green leafy vegetables, pulses, and nuts will also provide vitamins and minerals to help avoid anemia. (Anemia is a common problem causing difficulty in concentration.)

7. Including milk as a bedtime meal and curd/lassi/buttermilk after lunch or as a mid-meal assures a supply of Vitamin B12 too.

8. Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Always keep a glass of water beside you to remember to take sips of water every 15 minutes.

9. Basic exercise like stretching, walking or yoga with meditation will help to reduce negative stress and also help you to get good sleep.

10. Avoid junk foods as they will provide you no nutrition.

11. Avoid stimulants like tea, coffee or colas as they may seem to perk you up but the energy does not sustain for long. Too much may even cause bloating or acidity.

12. Avoid aerated drinks as they are full of sugar and may cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels causing a sudden rise and drop in sugar levels.

13. Chocolates may seem to may you feel good but the sudden rise and fall of sugar it causes in the blood can lead to trembling nervousness and panic.

14. Have your dinner if possible a little earlier than 9-10pm.

15. Keep about 2 hours between dinner and your bedtime.

16. Have a sound sleep for at least 7-8 hours daily.

Remember your body and mind need the fuel to help you perform the best. So, nourish it and take care of it and it will do the same for you.
