Last month my period was start on 14 and then again its come 31. So what can I do?

Last month my period was start on 14 and then again its come 31. So what can I do?
Sometimes because of stress or many other lifestyle factors or hormonal changes, ovulation does not occur for one month and menses gets delayed or comes early. As you said you used to have regular cycles, that means you are regularly having ovulation. No need to panic and no need of any tests. Wait for another month or so, your menses will come regular. This happens because of temporary hormonal changes.

I am 23 year old female. I got my last period on Feb 14. Still I didn't get my periods. We had unprotected sex planning for baby. So I checked with my gynecologist to confirm pregnancy. But scan report and blood test both were negative. Doctor asked me to take regestrone for 3 days and see if I get period. If not wait for another week and take blood test once again. Can I do the same. Is it still possible to be pregnant after taking regestrone for 3 days. Please reply.

Dear user. I can understand. If you have irregular period or are not sure when you ovulated, you can do a URINE HOME PREGNANCY TEST 14 days after you last had unprotected sex. However for accuracy of result, it is recommended to do the test 21 days after intercourse. To TEST PREGNANCY AT HOME simply add urine to a small piece of soap, if froth forms, or if the soap bubbles up, the test is positive. Mix ¼ cup of tuna juice and ¼ cup of vinegar in a plastic cup. Now pee in a separate cup and then add your urine to this mixture. After a few minutes, if the color changes to green, then you are pregnant. Take care.

I am suffering from excess weight.
I am only 16 years old, and I have a weight of 73.5 kg.
Please advice me what can ...
To start with avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Combine these dietary changes with 30 mins to one hour play/walk / exercise. Its difficult to draft a diet chart here which is tailored to meet your requirements. If you need us to help you with proper customised Diet plans for weight loss, you can opt for our online program or contact us through Lybrate' private consult'

Hi, try having warm lemon water with honey every morning. Below tips could help you start your weight-loss journey. 1. Never eat a snack out of a carton or a cover. Always use a cup or a plate to so you know how much you are eating. 2. Have at least one bright colored fruit and one bright colored vegetable a day 3. Take a small snack box to office with almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits to satisfy your cravings 4. Try to have your dinner by 8 so that you are not too hungry and also make healthy choices at dinner. 5. People who eat breakfast have a better success rate at losing weight. 6. Beware of zero trans fat and fat free foods as you might end up eating high sugar and carb containing foods. 7. People who are emotional eaters learn to identify the emotion that makes you eat unhealthy food and try diverting your mind to something else you love 8. If your plates are too big trade them off for a 9 inch plates 9. Replace your weighing scale with a tape measure. 10. What kind of exercise may I follow. Am 7 month pregnant and I really need some stretches to avoid stiffness.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
What kind of exercise may I follow. Am 7 month pregnant and I really need some stretches to avoid stiffness.
It is important to keep moving. Pregnant women who exercise have less back pain, more energy, a better body image and, post-delivery, a faster return to their pre-pregnancy shape. Exercise during pregnancy promotes brain function in the newborn as well. Babies born to the physically active mothers had a more-focused and mature pattern of brain activity. If you're healthy, the risks of moderate-intensity activity during pregnancy are very low, and do not increase risk of low birth weight, pre-term delivery, or early pregnancy loss. Most exercises are safe to perform during pregnancy, as long as you exercise with caution and do not overdo it. The safest and most productive activities are swimming, brisk walking, indoor stationary cycling, and low-impact aerobics. These activities carry little risk of injury, benefit your entire body, and can be continued until birth.

Don't Feel Like Working Out? 7 Tricks that will Help You Change Your Mind

Don't Feel Like Working Out? 7 Tricks that will Help You Change Your Mind

Working out is more of a habit than anything else. While making a start is the easy part, continuing it for a longer duration to get effective results is the hard thing. The trick is to have the same amount of motivation and enthusiasm going every day.

Here is a list of tricks that will convince you to follow your workout schedule on a daily basis:

  1. Compete with others: A goal of getting fit by x date may not be the best motivation. Instead, compete with others. Take part in a CrossFit competition or an obstacle race. There are competitions which take money to enrol. Participating in events like this will help you to be more focused in the endeavour to compete with others.
  2. Motivational songs: Songs are a great tonic for people who have just started working out. Get all your favorite songs on your iPod and hit the ground running. Make sure you keep changing songs every alternate day. Listening to the same songs every day while working out can be monotonous.
  3. Put personal stuff on the line: You can keep the money, movie tickets or a basketball to your friend’s place on the condition that if you manage to reach your goals, you will take it back. This will convince you to put your best efforts while working out. People tend to work more when they know that personal belongings are on the line. If you are tech savvy, you can bet on apps such as pact and dietet.com. Both these apps work on similar lines.
  4. Workout for a cause: Self-motivation is a hard thing to achieve. You can sweat for a charity of your choice. This way you feel accountable to a lot of many people who are counting on you. The fear of letting someone down will convince you to workout daily and put your best efforts every day.
  5. Let go of your sleeping clothes: The comfortable pyjamas or the cozy blanket can kill your motivation of getting up early in the morning. One good way to tackle this is to sleep in your workout clothes. This will constantly keep you reminded about the job in hand.
  6. Click pictures: The scale reading of your waist can be deceiving. Click pictures instead and compare them every month. This way you will see a visible result, which in turn will motivate you to give your best.
  7. Let someone monitor you: Working out alone can be boring. Let a friend or an instructor monitor you for the first few months. This way you will be under constant supervision and answerable to someone in case you miss your workout on odd days.

I am feeling low, worried about my family and my health as there are some symptoms that I am experiencing like headaches, dry eye, leg weakness, fatigue etc after my father was admitted in ER due to CABG and COPD in 6 months. Before that I was very healthy and happy and after this I am unable to concentrate always in tears and feeling different kind of pains which the doctors could not find out after having multiple tests and MRI of brain and spine. They say it is stress but I have symptoms like unstableness and dizziness sometimes. Is this all psychogenic and stress. What I can I do to get better. No medicine has helped so far.
