Hello doctor Now my skin is going to dark. How can I get some fairness on my skin. And my face was with full off pimples pores, marks. How can I take relief from it?

1. Avoid sun exposure between 9. Am to 5. Pm 2. Drink lots of water. Eat plenty of fruits. Tanning needs to be treated from within. 3. Use a scrub thrice a week. Either buy good quality herbal scrubs or make paste of orange/lemon peel, rice powder, a pinch of turmeric and water and use it as a scrub 4. Oil bath is an excellent way to improve your skin health. Apply sesame oil all over your body and have a warm water bath every week.

Hi, do regular exercise. Make a habit of consuming one well ripen banana with a cup of warm milk. Take dates with milk in the morning. Stop eating junk and processed food. Include protein rich food in your diet. Fluid should not be taken before or with a meal but only after a meal so that food intake is not reduced. Avoid junk food and oily food. Take small and frequent meals.

I am in chennai but I am native of jaipur raj. So what should I take in food to be fit.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, We need to make few changes in our life to stay fit and healthy (if there is no medical condition): - Just walking alone is a very beneficial exercise which can help you stay in shape, feel more energetic, and get healthy. Always take stairs rather than taking an elevator. -Standing while you work can help your body get more activity than if you were just sitting down. Spend at least some of your work day standing instead of sitting in order to help your blood flow and maintain your muscles. -Do more chores. Lots of household chores actually involve a lot of exercise and being better about doing chores can be a great way for you to fit activity and exercise into your day. -Aim to exercise for a total of 30 minutes per day and you’ll easily be able to maintain your fitness level. -Some exercises will be more efficient than others, and choosing these more efficient exercises means that the small amount of time that you do spend exercising will really count. Try to choose exercises that focus on your core muscles, since your legs and arms can get activity through daily activities like lifting bags of groceries and walking a longer distance from your car. Try squats, planks, burpees. -Get indulge into some activity at home like riding a bicycle, swimming, playing active games with your kids. -Eating right. Cut out unhealthy fats and take in healthy fats. The easiest way to identify unhealthy fats is to look for “solid” fats, or fats that are solid at room temperature. Get plenty of protein. Protein will help you maintain your muscles and also give you the energetic feeling that you may be missing now that you’re getting less exercise. Good protein sources include skinless chicken, turkey, salmon, anchovies, sardines, oysters, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and peas. Eat properly portioned, balanced meals. Generally, about ⅓ of your plate should be fruits and vegetables and ⅓ of your plate should be grains. The final third should be a mix of protein and low-fat dairy (cottage cheese, eggs, non-fat milk, etc). -Drinking enough water also has the added bonus of keeping your hunger level down, helping you to maintain the lower calorie count that you’ll be getting now that you’re not exercising as much.

My height is very small I have to grow my height so what could I do for this tell me.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

My height is very small I have to grow my height so what could I do for this tell me.
We all are aware of the fact that our height increases up to a particular age and then it comes to a halt. Height increases up to the age of 18years in women and up to the age of 20 years in men. Increase in height is attributed to the production of growth hormone, called the hgh (human growth hormone), which is secreted by the pituitary gland called the master gland of our body.----------- it is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. However, if the hormones are released naturally, increase in height can be observed. Homoeopathic medicines acts as a catalyst in increasing the production of these hormones.---------- increase in height at your age depends upon a no. Of factors like------------- 0. Whats your age---------------- 1. Height of parents------------------ 2. Recorded any increase in height in last 24 months------------- 3. Amount of effort you are putting in for increase in height----------- 4. How much serious are you for your height----------------- 5. Will you give 100% if I show you a direction----------- 6. Just do your bit with full determination and leave the rest to time, exercises and medicines.------------ consult me fast for homoeopathic consultation as you short of time------------------- homoeopathic medicines are absolutely safe and with no any side effects---------------------

DOES RICE CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN?

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
DOES RICE CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN?
Rice carbs are bad; rice is not good for diabetics; rice has fat and causes weight gain- these are sadly some of the myths that most people believe.
There are a few things that you must first know about rice.
Rice contains negligible fat.
Rice is easy on the gut, eases bowel movement and rids you of bloating.
Rice has starch, about 10%, but understand that starch is a source of energy for the body and energy is essential for the body.
Rice keeps your skin fresh.
Rice, when eaten with dal/sabzi/meat/dahi, etc reduces the sugar increasing property of the meal and that is good for diabetics.
It has essential amino acids, which when consumed with dal or dahi, for example, completes the amino acid profile. Thus for a vegetarian even rice with dal or dahi can become a complete protein food.
Rice is carbohydrates so most people are told to avoid it in dinner. No food should be viewed in isolation considering a single nutrient from it. Rice has essential nutrients and carbs are essential for our body and have a calming effect, therefore great as a dinner option.
Rice has fat burning properties.
Eat the rice that is, hand pounded or single polished and which is pale whitish and you don't need to opt for brown rice.
So, let go off your fear or guilt of eating rice or for that matter any food that you have grown up eating. Eat it as much as your body needs, in the right amount and your body will never let it go wrong. Eating rice should make you feel happy. Is that not what eating food should give you- happiness.

Is having fat products good if you wish to gain some weight or there are other preferred ways to it?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Is having fat products good if you wish to gain some weight or there are other preferred ways to it?
Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Immune System: 8 Foods That Supercharge it

BSc - Food Science & Nutrition, PGD in Sports Nutrition and Dietitics

Immune System: 8 Foods That Supercharge it

The immune systems in your body are always at work trying to fend of many of the attacks that happen on it every day. Although it is able to protect the body most of the time, sometimes it fails in doing so. While medicines can help to restore the balance, it is advisable to include certain food items in your diet, which boost the immune system naturally. Let's take a look at six vegetables which can help your immune system in getting supercharged:

Ginger - This food item is very good in regulating mobility within the gut and regulating bowel movement and is also known to relieve nausea, cramping and bloating. Ginger is also known to have many anti-inflammatory properties as well as being an antioxidant and antimicrobial. All of this makes ginger very good for the immune system.

Wheatgrass - One of the most densely packed green nutritional food ingredients when consumed in the form of a juice, it helps the liver by increasing its ability to flush out toxins. This results in an improved immune system. Wheatgrass is also rich in B complex vitamins, beta carotene, chlorophyll, magnesium, potassium and many other vital nutrients.

Garlic - This vegetable has been used for centuries in home remedies such as to lower blood pressure, prevent blood clots and many others. Garlic is also known to boost healthy cholesterol. Inclusion of garlic in your diet will not only boost your immune system but it also contains 'allicin', which is known to improve the health of your heart.

Papaya - An extremely good food for digestion as well as digestion problems, the extracted enzyme from this plant known as papain, is used in many medications. Papaya is full of beta-carotene that is very well known to be good for the health of tissue, skin and the eyes as well as boosting the immune system through the production of vitamin A within the body.

Carrots - This is one vegetable which has been encouraged to be included in diets as it contains copious amounts of beta carotene and is extremely good for the eyes as well as boosting the immune system.

Turmeric - Possibly the most talked about ingredient on this list in the last few years, it is known to have almost an unending list of health benefits. Turmeric has detoxifying properties as well as being anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and is great for digestion along with boosting the immune system. It is a rich source of minerals, such as Zinc, Iron, B group vitamins and Manganese, turmeric is also known to have cancer preventive properties.

Spinach - Being high in fiber and loaded with Vitamin C, Folate and other powerful antioxidants it helps building strong immune response and ensure overall wellbeing. A special care is to be taken that it should not be consumed raw, as the level of oxalates is considerably high, which can lead to the partial absorption of the important nutrients.

Yogurt - Yogurt being high in probiotics, which helps food move through the gut. It also helps in improving bone health. It helps in regularising digestion and reduce the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS), since it is digested easily by human body. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Acute anal fissures are known to occur in children, consult a pediatrician for dietary changes and give her plenty of oral fluids, she should be fine. If bleeding is present with out history of constipation and or she is passing normal soft stool, she should be evaluated by a pediatrician to rule out medical conditions or by a gastroenterologist for examination of lower gastrointestinal tract. She can have the correct treatment only when she has an exact diagnosis.
