It all depends on her fertility period. If intercourse took place between 10 th day and 16 th day of her cycle then she can get pregnant (ist day of cycle is 1 st day of her period). The reason is that preejaculation also contains a minimal quantity of sperms which can cause a pregnancy. So the only way is that if she has missed her period do a urine pregnancy test.

I had Follicular examination on 15th day at 12 pm and one follicle was 22 mm*17 mm. I had hcg injection at 5 pm same day. Again had an examination on 16th day at 1 pm. Follicle was ruptured. Than had iui at 5 pm. But it didn't worked and I got period on 31st day. My regular cycle is of 30 days. I already had laparoscopy which showed all ok in my reproductive system. Husband reports are also normal. Than why I am not getting pregnant?

Hi,this is called unexplained infertility when everything is normal and still not getting pregnant. The fertilising potential of egg and the sperm cannot be assessed by any means unless you get pregnant. In this situation ovulation induction with medicine to bring out your still more healthy eggs and IUI for few cycles will increase your chances of pregnancy. But get it done with a good doctor with fertility knowledge.

Hi, I think it can be due to some hormonal imbalances. Check your thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. If everything is fine, you can try naturally for 6 months. Take progesterone for last 2 weeks of your cycle. Also, get yourself examined by a gynecologist as it can be due to infections also. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any other query I will be happy to help.

IMPROVE YOUR CONCENTRATION

IMPROVE YOUR CONCENTRATION

with the exams approaching, the pressure increasing and the anxiety reaching the pinnacle; being able to concentrate on what you study and remembering it is the most important concern of the hour.

Here are some tips which will help you to concentrate on your studies and remember whatever you have studied:-

* keep your cell phone aside. These days, the cell phone addiction has become more difficult to cure than any other addiction. It is better to switch off your cell phone and keep it in a place far from your reach so that you can concentrate on what you are needed to concentrate on rather than what is pulling your attention.

* make a timetable and stick to it. Make a proper schedule of each day which will include what time will you wake up, when you will eat, when you will take a nap etc. Even include what subject and what chapters you will study each day. This will make your revision planned and hassle free.

* take adequate sleep. It is necessary to sleep at least 6 hours in a day even during exams as your brain needs that much time to recuperate from the stress and strain. Studies have shown that taking an adequate sleep of 6 hours in a day, increases productivity and improves your ability to remember what you have studied that day.

* take a short nap after lunch. The grasping ability reduces after eating lunch and hence it is a good habit to take a power nap of 7 to 8 minutes after lunch.

* keep your body properly fed and properly hydrated. There is no specific food that will help you improve your grasping ability. All the foods are important enough to provide the necessary nutrition to your brain and, in turn, improve its grasping and retaining ability.

* lastly, don't over exert yourself. Stress is only going to make you forget what you have read. If possible, perform meditation for 10 to 15 minutes in the day to relax your mind and refresh you for the whole day of studying.

Hi! Bleeding during pregnancy can be due to many reasons and should never be ignored. You must see your doctor immediately who will probably advise you a scan and put you on supporting medicines if required. Also please be careful for sometime. Avoid bending forwards, lifting weight, strenuous exercise, bumpy rides and sexual intercourse in first 3 months. Take care:)

Pregnancy test will come positive only after 7 days of missed period and feb had 29 days only so 9 days. Even faint second line is positive and you have to read the results within 5 min. Menses can naturally get delayed by hormonal changes or stress. If it comes negative the keep repeating it every week till next menses comes.

Your husband need three things at this stage: 1. Proper medication if some cause is found. 2. To trouble shoot any stress issues if he is facing some. 3. Proper diet. Sperm formation is a gradual process and it will take weeks to months for the evident improvement. Wish him a speedy recovery.
