Hello, redness of eyes may be caused by several things like an allergy, infection, inflammation and dry eyes, etc. Here are the most likely combinations. 1. Redness + itching: might be caused by allergy 2. Redness + pain + watering + decreased vision: most likely being caused by an infection 3. Redness + pain: there must be an inflammation in the eye. 4. Redness foreign body sensation: this is most likely caused by dryness. Redness alone could be normal due to exposure to dust and temperature where eyes may be red in the morning. Another factor for redness is stress. I would suggest a few remedies for healthy eyes however they may not be effective for redness, they are? try blinking every few minutes? splash your eyes with fresh water? use cold compresses to cool your eyes? use lubricating drops eg flo-gel. This can remove the problem of dry eyes. It is best advised to see an ophthalmologist for examination and treatment.

Hello, get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. Dha is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for strengthening eye muscles: -begin by partially closing your eyes; the lids should only be halfway shut. After holding for 10-15 seconds, close your eyes very slowly. Take a few deep breaths to increase oxygen in the blood. -warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. -hold a pen at arm's length. Focus your gaze on the tip of the pen. Bring the pen closer to your nose at a slow and steady pace. Repeat this exercise 5-10 times. -concentrate your vision on the tip of your nose. Then shift your gaze to an object further away, either at arm's length or 20 feet away. Then shift your eyes back to the tip of your nose. Repeat this exercise 10 times. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Begin by look to the left-most position (without moving your head) and hold to stretch your eye muscles. Hold for 5 counts. Blink and return your gaze back to look straight in front of you. Then look to the right-most position with your gaze and hold for 5 counts. Repeat 3 times, blinking between each hold. Then, repeat this exercise looking up and then down. Do not forget about blinking. -sit in a relaxed but upright position. Look up and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look up to and to your left for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your right for 5 seconds. Return your gaze to center. Look down and to your left for 5 seconds. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and then reducing the power of your eyes (if the eye power is less). Take physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month and instill euphrasia eye drops twice a day. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

It is due to Eye allergy that your eyes are getting red may be due to soap, shampoo or chlorin in water. What ever is the case ,it is normal if your eyes recover after sometime and if red eye persits for longer time after bath and you feel some kind of irritation/pain in eyes thenit is a matter of concern.Just wear Goggles in sunlight and pollution.

I have a problem of uvetis in my left eye since 2008. After use of prednisolone already cataract devloped anf operated but still vision is only 50%. Every time doctor prescribed omnacortil tab and prednisolone eye drop. But now irritation anf redness in eye is a daily matter. Is there any alternate method or latest medical care?

Looks like you have a recurrent uveitis for the last 7 years. A thourough systemic workup is a must for a confirmed diagnosis. If vision is so much affected and not responding to treatment then nowadays some patients are being given immuno-suppresive drugs. It is imperative that you consult a uvea specialist (an ophthalmologist who has specialized in the field of uvea).

Hello. Regarding the cylindrical power mentioned by you, it would be a good idea to know the exact power of the eyes. Higher cylindrical power may not be possible to incorporate in the contact lens. Contact lens users should always exercise more caution than glass users. Improper hygiene maintenance of the contact lens has many hazards associated with it. Also, over-wear (for eg. Overnight wear) has the potential to cause harm to the eyes. Contact lens induced hypersensitivity/ allergy has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few: (1) it may be caused due to over wear (use for more than 6-7 hours at a stretch) (2) overnight wear of contact lens. (3) improper hygiene of the contact lens. If handled with dirty hands, contact lens associated infection/ allergy may occur. Thus, hands must be thoroughly washed before handling contact lens. (4) likewise, the contact lens cleaning solution, if not handled properly, may cause major eye problems. It should not be used beyond its expiry date. Nor should it be over used (using the same fluid for 2-3 days!) hence, in case you decide to start using contact lens, you should follow all precautions and subsequently start using them. Subsequently, just go through the points mentioned by me. If you match any of the mentioned points, rectify them.

Hello, there are few food items which helps you in boosting up your memory power, increases focus & concentration, so try to take more of these: 1. Choline: good sources of choline include liver, milk, eggs and peanuts. 2. Vitamin b: b vitamins are not synthesized in the body, and thus need to be obtained from food. B-complex vitamins are water-soluble vitamins, which means that they are not stored within the body. In consequence, the b vitamins need ongoing replenishment. Vitamin b1 (thiamine) rich sources include unrefined grain products, ready-to-eat cereals, meat (especially pork), dairy products, peanuts, legumes, fruits and eggs. Foods that contain high concentrations of vitamin b3 (niacin) in the free form include beans and organ meat, as well as enriched grain and cereal products. While niacin is present in corn and other grains, the bioavailability of the nutrient is much less than it is in protein-rich sources. The role of vitamin b9 (folic acid) during pregnancy is vital to normal development of the nervous system in the fetus. Good sources of folate include liver, ready-to-eat breakfast cereals, beans, asparagus, spinach, broccoli, and orange juice. Animal protein products are a good source of vitamin b12 (cobalamine), particularly organ meats such as kidney or liver. Other good sources are fish, eggs, and dairy products. 3. Vitamin a: the foods highest in vitamin a are any pigmented fruits and vegetables and leafy green vegetables. 4. Zinc: zinc is a very important part of the brain as well; many regions of the brain, such as the cerebellum, and hippocampus have neurons that contain this nutrient. Zinc is needed to maintain normal vitamin a levels in blood plasma. Sources of zinc are meats, certain seafood, whole grains, baked beans, oatmeal, milk (low-fat), cashewnut, almonds, kidney-beans, cheese, peas, spinach, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds. Medication: take homoeopathic medicine for increasing memory - anacardium 200/ once daily. For eyesight: get your eyes tested from an opthalmologist. Include the following for getting better vision: vitamins a, c, e, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Hello there are many causes for redness of eyes mainly allergy, infection, inflammation and dry eyes etc. 1. Redness + itching: allergy 2. Redness + pain + watering + decreased vision: infection 3. Redness + pain: inflammation 4. Redness foreign body sensation: dryness if there is only redness then it is normal as slight exposure to dust, temperature or air or eyes may be red in morning. Stress may also cause redness. I usually do not treat when there is only redness, you can 1. Blink a lot 2. Wash eyes with fresh water 3. Cold compresses 4. Use lubricating eye drop like flogel these measures will help to keep your eyes healthy but it will not have any effect on redness (treating general redness alone is not necessary also) having said that you should consult local ophthalmologist for proper examination and treatment.

Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury I dont think that your red eyes is due to eating problems.start using below given homoeopthic meicine for 5 day and if no relief then conssult n eye specialist .
