Are you taking any medication for hypothyroidism because normal TSH is necessary to stop weight gain and to reduce the excess weight you have to take homoeopathic treatment.

Hello , please follow the doctor prescribed medicine. Which controls the diabetics and will not allow you increase. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. He is in a prediabetic stage as per the hba1c report. It is unaffected by the time of last meal and gives us an average idea about the diabetes status over a period of past 3 months. A healthy diet and regular exercise is a must at this stage. Retest after 3 months. Also check his lipid profile and blood pressure.

My age is around 30 year. Recently I have tested sugar level. My fasting sugar is 235 and PP is 353 and HBA1C is 9.3 Please suggest what precautions should I take and what food should I avoid. Your blood sugar is very high. Start medicine immediately after consulting physician/diabetologist follow the advice given below 1. Do regular aerobic exercise for 1 hour daily (brisk walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling etc) 2. Reduce weight if overweight 3control diet a) avoid sweets, sugar/honey, milk, milk product excess calorie and carbohydrate rich diet like white bread, cereal, rice, pasta b) avoid all refined food like maida, pasta, starchy food like rice, potato, bakery item, processed food, c) include more fiber like pulse, green leafy vegetable, cucumber, carrot, tomato, j legume. D) avoid sweetened fruit like banana, mango, litchi, chickoo, sapota, seethaphal jack fruit, grape etc. Can have fruits like guava, pineapple, papaya, orange, mousambi, strawberry, watermelon, pomegranate, jack fruit, sweet potato, a handful of walnut daily (akhrot) e) avoid white/polished rice, take unpolished rice like brown rice/wheat/jowar/ragi, moong and chana dal. F) avoid ghee/ butter./coconut oil/excess salt intake like papad/pickle. G) avoid red meat. Take fish/chicken. H) avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks like soft drink 4. Adhere to a strict diabetic diet by consulting dietitian 5. Monitor your fasting, pp blood sugar 3 monthly and hba1c six monthly 6. Consult diabetologist for advice and treatment.

lybrate-user, You are overweight with a BMI of 28.87 kg/M2, which very close to be a grade 1 obesity. You will have to take some specific measures and see that weight is reduced (ideal body weight 52 kgs). If Vit D is less then take the supplement of it. There is nothing like a specific time for exposure to sun. Early morning sun rays should fall on the skin. You may take calcium and D3 supplements. Thanks.

You can take cilacar c for two weeks, reduce salt intake, keep your feet at foot rest_elevate your foot while sitting, after 2 weeks check s.creatinine, once everything settled you can take plain cilacar.

I am 35 years old male. I am taking the eltroxin 100 tablet for 12 years for the thyroid disease. So there is only a managing of the tsh value. So I would like to avoid use of tablet. Is the operations is a way for this. I would like to fix my tsh value in normal range avoiding tablet. Please give a me a right advice for this.

HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consut doctor on time.

You are rightly taking precautions. You may increase frequency of exercise to 5-6 days a week. Your weight is higher side so have check on it. Get periodically checked hba1c.
