Yes definitely. Your sugar levels are way above normal. You will gradually start experiencing ill- effects of such high sugar, as almost all your body organs will be affected. Please consult a endocrinologist urgently.

Your levels are ok. They can be still better. Continue the same. Check your hba1c level it should be around 6.5 per cent.

She is 40 years old. A thyroid patient but other wise healthy and active. Last four five months she had a very severe skin problem where the entire body becomes red and lot of irritation and itchiness was there. Later in few minutes it got corrected on its own. Now she was suggested for anti nuclear that is ANA TEST. The reports show positive for it. Is it curable or is life threatening.

The ana test is not specific. More tests are needed to know what is causing high ana. Lupus and scleroderma can both cause skin irritation, but so can a lot of other autoimmune diseases. If a diagnosis can be pinpointed, it can be adequately treated as well, and it's prognosis clarified. Meet a good rheumatologist.

Infertility - Causes And Treatment

Infertility - Causes And Treatment

Infertility is a condition wherein a woman does not get pregnant in spite of having unprotected intercourse over a period of a year or even more. An abnormal menstrual cycle that is either too short or too long, irregular or even scanty can be an indication of a lack of ovulation, which in turn, is another factor behind female infertility.

Causes:

  1. Ovulation disorders are characterized by either a lack of ovulation or irregular and infrequent ovulation. These are a major cause of infertility. This may be due to defects in the regulation of the reproductive hormones by the pituitary gland or the hypothalamus (brain center responsible for producing some of the most essential hormones required by the body). Malfunctioning of the ovary is another cause in itself. Polycystic ovarian syndrome, premature failure of the ovaries (a condition wherein a woman’s ovaries fail to function properly even before she is 40 years old), hypothalamic dysfunction (a dysfunction of the hypothalamus) and excessive production of prolactin (a hormone that stimulates milk production among women after childbirth) by the pituitary gland are some of the factors responsible for the occurrence of such a disorder.

  2. Damaged fallopian tubes do not allow the sperms to fuse properly with the egg. They might also prevent the fertilized egg from entering into the uterus. This condition may be caused due to pelvic inflammatory diseases (a group of infections of the reproductive organs in women), an infection in the fallopian tubes or the uterus caused due to various Sexually Transmitted Diseases, any abdominal surgery or surgery of the pelvic region and pelvic tuberculosis.

  3. Endometriosis, wherein the tissue that usually grows in the uterus, starts growing outside it, is another factor responsible for infertility.

  4. Several cervical or uterine disorders, such as tumors, inflammation within the uterus, uterine abnormalities, a cervical narrowing or the inability of the cervix to produce mucous for the sperm to travel to the uterus, are likely to impact fertility by obstructing implantation or enhancing the chances of miscarriage.

  5. A man’s fertility generally relies on the quantity and quality of his sperm. If the number of sperm a man ejaculates is low or if the sperm are of a poor quality, it will be difficult, and sometimes impossible, for him to cause a pregnancy. Male infertility is diagnosed when, after testing both partners, reproductive problems have been found in the male.

Treatments:

Fertility drugs can be used to regulate and induce ovulation. But they carry with them certain risks and therefore you should consult your physician prior to consumption. Few examples of these drugs are Clomiphene Citrate, Gonadotropins, Metformin, Letrozole and Bromocriptine.

  1. Surgical procedures can be recommended to correct reproductive abnormalities and restore fertility. A laparoscopic surgery or a tubal ligation reversal surgery (a surgery that unites one’s fallopian tubes again in order to enable the woman to have a baby) can be advised by the doctor.

  2. Reproductive assistance by Intrauterine insemination (a process that involves putting sperms inside a woman’s uterus in order to help her conceive) and Assisted reproductive technology (consisting of IVF and surrogacy). If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

Hello viewers. My name is Prashant from Dr Monga's health world and today we have doctor Yuvraj Arora director and consultant , at dr monga’s ayuvedic medi clinic and today I am going to interact with dr monga about diabetes and other related issues which cause diabetes. So welcome to our show dr yuvraj monga:

Hello, my first question to you would be what is the major concern in Indian society which is associated with diabetes? a

As you all know in this modern world, digital world India is having a big threat of diabetes. India is having the largest diabetic population in the world in 2015 WHO and Indian diabetic Federation found out that 6.91 crore people are there in India who are diabetic. In next 2-3 years there will be 12 crores diabetic, every 9 person is diabetic in India. That’s an alarming figure.

Why is that this disease called diabetes is not easily managed?

This can be divided into 2 factors: patient factor and doctor factor.

Doctor factor is that we have very good doctors and physicians in India but good doctors are very busy they are having 20-30-40-60 patients a day so they are not being able to give sufficient time to patients, there is a study in USA that biggest issue amongst doctors patient relationship is that poor communication poor time given by the doctor to the patient that is lacking so doctor could not provide information, pura jankari nahi de pata patient ko usko kya kya chaiye because diabetes bohot badi issue hai. Usme lifestyle changes chaiye, diet ka role chaiye, exercise ka role chaiye aur manage ho nahi paati hai so 80-90 % patients ka blood sugar manage nhi ho pata. Ye bohot bada issue hai toh isko control karna bohot zada zaruri hai , toh patient mein kya hota hai patient ek toh darai mein rehta hai mujhe bimari kese hogayi no 2 ignorence ki keise hogayi kyun hogayi keise thik karu toh knowledge hota nhi hai aur doctor k pass time nehi hai samjhane ka teesra fear k abb kya hoga thik hoga nehi hoga aur isike wajah se complies kharab ho jata hai means wo doctor ka prescription follow hi karta test thik se nhi karta manage hota nhi hai aur wo door to door doctor prescription change karna dawai change karna toh pareshan rehta hai patient aur kabhibi diabetes sugar manage nhi ho paati hai toh patient ko ek regime follow karna chaiye ek strict regime aur doctors k sath bethna chaiye aur discuss karna chaiye ki mein apni diabetes ko keise thik kar sakta hoon.

Ok we have also heard that diabetes never come alone so what are the other complications associated with diabetes? diabetes agar kaafi saal uncontrolled rahe toh cholesterol ki abnormalities ho jati hai , lipids kharab ho jatein hai cholesterol jamm jate hai apke blood vassals mein aur cardiovascular diseases , hyper tension long term mein kidney failure , erecting mein problem pet mein azma nhi rehta kabzi hoti hai aur aankhon ka parda aur aankhon ki roshni jaa sakti hai so ye haar major aang ko kharab kar sakti hai , bohot bada issue hai .

And how do you compare Ayurveda with modern medical practices? My wife is an Ayurvedic consultant and I am practicing modern medicine so we try to combine modern medicine with Ayurvedic. So the evicasy of modern medicine is maintained and patients can tolerate them very well so Ayurveda mein bohot classical drugs aati hai jo prescription mein milti hai jaise triphala hai lasan adibati hai jo sugar level ko niche rakh sakta hai , aur neem aur jamun aur karela ka sevan se bhi kamm rehta hai particular matra mein lena chaiye doctor k prescription k upar lena chaiye toh inse jo modern medicine hai uske side effect bhi kamm rehta hai aur control bhi badiya rehta hai . aur hum ye yahan pe practice karte hai ki modern medicine aur Ayurveda ka mishran patients k liye kaafi suitable rehta hai .

So finally I would like to ask one final question what is going to be your massage to our viewers what is the key o get the long lasting relief from diabetes. dawaiyon se zada exercise aur diet , ek ghanta exercise daily aur diet k baare mein kya bolna kaam khana , anaj roti bread biscuit aur zada protein , protein ka matlab hota hai zada daahi eggs chicken protein ki matra zada honi chaiye aur carbohydrate ki matra kamm honi chaiye din mein 2 katori salad honi chaiye 3-4 faal honi chaiye diet ki taraf jaiye khub sara exersice kijiye tabb dawaiyan bhi assar karegi tabb aapka long term maintain tabhi hosakta hai changes lifelong honi chaiye dhanyabad bohot bohot shukriya dr yuvraj and it was pleasure talking to you dr monga see you next time until then thank you and take care

Have been developing frequent sty on right eye. Normal sugar test were negative. No history of diabetics in family. Yet on fasting, my sugar reading showed 158 today with glucose meter. What dietary precautions to follow?

What do you mean normal sugar test was negative? if glucometer is showing 158 mg, it is better to check fasting and after food sugar levels and hba1c also. If diabetes is confirmed take proper treatment. For repeated sty take tablet moxikind - cv 625 twice a day for 6 days. Infection will be mostly controlled.
