My mother (58+ Y) is under treatment for Hypothyroidism & Hypertension. She used to have controlled BP (110/70 - 130/80) & sugar (FBS - 97) till a month back. Over last few days she is very tensed due to health issues at home. Today afternoon she suddenly felt 'chakkar' lost vision for 3-4 minutes & was about to fall down from the sitting position. Her speech was also not very clear during those 3-4 m. We also observed her left hand is shaking for that time. However, she was back to normal activities within 5 minutes. Is this an emergency? Mr. lybrate-user, Thank you for your query, I understand your concern. Looking at your description it is not very clear whether she ahs any serious episode of storke or not. However, please get the blood pressure checked, if it has remained as mentioned then there may not be any serious issue. However, she should meet her regular doctor and go through a thorough examination. Is her TSH in good control? (between 3 to 4 mU/L), if not then thyroxine dose may have to be increased. 7 mistakes you don't do for your health

You have been trying to do everything right for a healthy living.
But have you thought about the possible diet mistakes you might be
Making? here's my list.

1. Eat while you eat! do not mix any activity with your meal.
Though multitasking is the requirement of the times it is not a
Wise thing according to experts. When you are doing some task your
Brain concentrates more on the task and never feels satisfied. This
Would cause you to overeat if not then but later on.

2. Its ok to buy frozen vegetables if you generally compromise on
The diet part after work. Wilted" fresh" vegetables are worse than
Frozen ones which retain all their nutrients as they get frozen
Right after their harvest. So a pack of veggies are great for an on
The go salad or a quick microwave boiled veggie snack.

3. Salads are healthy as far as all the ingredients are healthy.
Yes, I mean it. All those you add in a salad should be vegetables
(except potato), olive oil, eggs and vinegar and no crispies,
Cheese and meat. Add all the pigmented vegetables and some low fat
Sugarless dressings.

4. Diet sodas are not perfect as they sound. You drink more of them

5. Not drinking milk is another mistake you commit. Thinking that

Peanut butter instead of reaching for a supposedly nutritious snack

Dear........ Now seasons of viral infections- cough and cold,fever. pl. Go for Tests..mp,cbc.urine r/m,ns1,blood c/s. X-ray chest. Never take asprin medicines. feel cold then cover body with warm cloths, avoid dust area, clean body, change cloths daily, change bed sheet daily, avoid stress.avoid non-veg.,avoid alcohol intake if smokes avoid also that. Cold sponging if get high fever. drink warm water, juice,green veg. Soups,lquid diets, dalia, take protein diets, tulsi leaf in tea or warm water, geloy juice, avoid cold area,cold things .i.e. ice creams, fast/junk foods, chinese foods,spicy foods, fat meal, take bed rest , You can also take tab. Tamiflu from govt. Hospitals. Or take tab. Paracetamol 650 mg twice a day after meal. gargle with warm water. or gargle betadine thrice a day. IF NOT relief then go for surgery.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Semen is produced after a prolonged procedure. The more time you try foreplay and sexual excitation, the more will be your semen. The more you give gap between two masturbation, the more will be your semen. Stress, water level in your body etc also influence your semen's quantity and thickness. Include lots of green leafy vegetables and sweet juicy fruits. Dairy products such as milk and fresh yogurt will also help. Fresh coconut is also considered excellent "hair food" -- sprinkle grated coconut over salads, diced fresh fruit, or rice. 1. Green Leafy Vegetables: Regular intake of Green leafy Vegetables - Spinach, Lettuce, Leafy Greens, Turnip Greens, Broccoli, Beans and Green Peppers are rich in nutrients that help and promote Hair growth. 2. Other Vegetables and Fruits: Two fresh fruits per day :- cut and eat with fruit skin, no juice. 3. Sprouts: Green gram dhal Sprout. There are so many sprouts like Mung Beans, Green gram dhal, Peas It is also very easy to prepare! Soak Green gram dhal in an air tight Box . Mr. Lybrate-user, you have hypothyroidism. This condition remains for lifetime. Treatment has to continue through out. Please tell me current tsh levels. If tsh is between 3 to 4 milli units / ml then all symptoms are in check.

Kindly show me x rays of your shoulder. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Do hot fomentation any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do neck & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Shoulder exercises can be done any time. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Dear, These are the causes of hair fall: • Stress • Due to medicines • Due to nutrition • Use of chemical products • Due to pollution To Prevent hair fall follow these instructions and methods: • Do not take stress and take proper sleep of 6 - 7 hours.
