Hello doctor I've been masturbating 1 year I stopped doing it but I want to know what happens to the body when I masturbate often? And please tell me the effects of masturbating in brief.

BHMS

Hello doctor I've been masturbating 1 year I stopped doing it but I want to know what happens to the body when I mast...
Hello. Masturbation is a medically healthy and psychologically normal habit. It is considered abnormal only when it inhibits partner-oriented behavior, is done in public, or is sufficiently compulsive to cause distress. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively or interferes with daily life and activities. Masturbation is a good way of relieving the sexual tension that can build up over time, especially for people without partners or whose partners are not willing or available for sex. Masturbation also is a safe sexual alternative for people who wish to avoid pregnancy and the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases. Masturbation does not produce premature ejaculation. Post-masturbation effects: a man whose penis has suffered a blunt trauma, severe bend or other injury during intercourse or masturbation may, rarely, sustain a penile fracture or suffer from peyronie's disease. Phimosis is" a contracted foreskin (that) may cause trouble by hurting when an attempt is made to pull the foreskin back" in these cases, any energetic manipulation of the penis can be problematic. A small percentage of men suffer from postorgasmic illness syndrome (pois), which can cause severe muscle pain throughout the body and other symptoms immediately following ejaculation, whether due to masturbation or partnered sex. The symptoms last for up to a week. Masturbation drains vital nutrients from the body. If body is in the state of good health to recover, supported by healthy food, regular exercise and calm mind, this practice may cause no impact. Continued drain without enough nutrition reach can lead to weakness (trauma), reflected both in mind (lack of self confidence is the most common) and in the body (digestive disorders, hair fall, frequent urination etc). Medication: take staphysagria 200 and alfaalfa tonic - both twice daily for 3 weeks.

Omega - 3 is good fat. You should take fax seeds - 10 gm per day, walnuts - 2-3 per day. You must stop consuming all processed & packed foods. Also try stopping milk and all dairy products for a few days, as milk is synthetic these days with a lot of harmful chemicals.

Why do commercial and foods cooked by ‘halwais’ taste better

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Why do commercial and foods cooked by ‘halwais’ taste better? But Not good for health
===================================================
Hydrogenated oils containing trans fats are tastier than foods cooked in plant oils. Most hydrogenated oils involve hydrogenation of palm oils. Hydrogenation increases their shelf life, makes them easier to cook and spoil less easily. French fries, microwave popcorns and food cooked by traditional halwais are cooked in hydrogenated trans fats.

Most commercially catered food prepared from trans fats are tasty and often people overeat by at least 500 calories because of the taste provided by the hydrogenated oils.

Per serving, 5 grams of trans fatty acids is present in French fries, 6 gm in breaded fish burger, 5 gm in breaded chicken nuggets, 2 gm in biscuits, 2.7 gm in margarine, 2 gm in cakes, 1.6 gm in corn chips, 1.2 gm in microwave popcorn and 1.1 gm in pizza.

Four gm of trans fats are present in one parantha, 3.4 gm in one poori, 5.2 gm in one bhatura, 1.7 gm in one dosa, 6.1 gm in one tikki, 3 gm in one samosa, 2 gm in one serving of pakoda, 2.9 gm in one serving of vegetable pulao and 3.6 gm in one serving of halwa.

Just about 2.6 gm a day of trans fats, half as much contained in a packet of French fries can raise the risk of heart disease significantly.

Some trans fats occur naturally in foods, especially those of animal origin. The chemical configuration of trans fatty acids confers harmful effects, including adverse influences on blood LDL– and HDL–cholesterol concentrations. They raise LDL and lower HDL cholesterols. By comparison, consumption of saturated fats also raises the LDL cholesterol concentration, but does not lower HDL. Thus, while saturated fats adversely affect the lipid profile, they may not be as harmful as trans fatty acids.

Trans fatty acids may also interfere with the desaturation and elongation of n–3 (omega–3) fatty acids. These are important for the prevention of heart disease and complications of pregnancy. In an analysis from the Nurses’ Health Study, for each increase of 2 percent of energy from trans fat, the relative risk for incident coronary heart disease was 1.93. There are no known physiologic benefits related to the consumption of trans fatty acids; thus, reduction in their intake makes sense.

The words "partially hydrogenated" on the list of package ingredients are clues to their presence. Since 2006, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made it a requirement that Nutrition Facts labels portray trans fat content. FDA estimates that the average daily intake of trans fat in the U.S. population is about 5.8 grams or 2.6% of calories per day for individuals 20 years of age and older. On average, Americans consume approximately 4 to 5 times as much saturated fat as trans fat in their diet.

FDA’s label requirement is that if a dietary supplement contains a reportable amount of trans fat, which is 0.5 gram or more, dietary supplement manufacturers must list the amounts on the Supplement Facts panel. The FDA final rule on trans fatty acids requires that the amount of trans fat in a serving be listed on a separate line under saturated fat on the Nutrition Facts panel.

However, trans fats do not have to be listed if the total fat in a food is less than 0.5 gram (or 1/2 gram) per serving.

All restaurants in New York have banned all food items, which contain more than 0.5 gm of trans fats in one serving.

Guidelines
Check the Nutrition Facts panel: Choose foods lower in saturated fats, trans fats and cholesterol.
Choose alternative fats. Replace saturated and trans fats in your diet with mono- and polyunsaturated fats. These fats do not raise LDL (or "bad") cholesterol levels and have health benefits when eaten in moderation. Sources of monounsaturated fats include olive and canola oils. Sources of polyunsaturated fats include soybean, corn, sunflower oils, and foods like nuts.
Choose vegetable oils (except coconut and palm kernel oils) and soft margarines (liquid, tub, or spray) more often because the combined amount of saturated and trans fats is lower than the amount in solid shortenings, hard margarines, and animal fats, including butter.
Consider fish. Most fish are lower in saturated fat than meat. Some fish, such as mackerel, sardines and salmon, contain omega–3 fatty acids that are being studied to determine if they offer protection against heart disease.
Limit foods high in cholesterol such as liver and other organ meats, egg yolks and full–fat dairy products, like whole milk.
Choose foods low in saturated fat such as fat free or 1% dairy products, lean meats, fish, skinless poultry, whole grain foods and fruit and vegetables.

Fight Cellulite, The Right Way!

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition (Delhi University)
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Panipat
Cellulite is something that affects women leading to accumulation of fat. But there are ways to manage it right!

We have often heard women complaining of skin like an orange peel, dimpled skin, all these are just synonyms of the word cellulite. Mostly women are affected by cellulite and this can happen at any stage after puberty starts settling in.

So what exactly is cellulite? Is it the same as fat or different from it?

Cellulite is a kind of fat tissue in the sub-cutaneous layer of the skin. When our body system works effectively, all the waste material and toxins are removed, as a result of which we get smooth curves, if the waste material gets trapped in the skin, the connective tissue become rigid, thereby giving a dimpled effect.

Mostly women are prone to cellulite which tends to get stored in the hips, thighs, stomach, lower back etc.

5 ways to fight cellulite the right way!

1. Healthy and balanced diet can help reduce cellulite, to reduce cellulite we will have to detoxify our body, during detoxification cut out caffeine, do not eat extra salt or fat, drink lot of water. Eat things like soya, blueberries and nuts. Ensure that there is a sufficient intake of nutrients like vitamin c, b complex and essential fatty acids. Onions are good for reducing cellulite. Onions acts as like a natural diuretic and will release the excess water from the skin cells. Reduce alcohol, fried foods, spices and smoking.
2. Cellulite can be mobilised with the right exercise. Exercising improves blood circulation and helps in getting rid of the toxins from our body effectively. Special exercises like walking, cycling, climbing stairs & yoga help improve muscles in the thighs. Muscles will stretch the skin and smoothen the dimples appearance.
3. Right breathing exercises also help to remove toxins from the body. Proper breathing is a must for better oxygenation of blood, which in turn makes the lungs work more efficiently to throw the waste out.
4. A good anti cellulite massage is also helpful to some extent. Massaging the areas that have cellulite will increase circulation and break the fat up. Use of aromatherapy oils like sage and juniper help in cellulite reduction.
5. Special body wraps with ingredients like green tea, warm ground coffee and seaweed are very helpful in treating cellulite. Various anti cellulite oils are available which can be used.

1. There is no treatment that eradicates hepatitis b infection completely. 2. However treatment is available to arrest the liver damage and subsequent development of cirrhosis of liver/carcinoma of liver. In most of the cases the hepatitis b virus automatically gets cleared from the blood within 6 months. If the virus persists after 6 months it is known as chronic hepatitis b. 30-90% of patient suffering from chronic hepatitis b subsequently develop cirrhosis of liver/carcinoma of liver if not treated. You have to regularly do the blood test to monitor hbsag, hbeag hbv dna, real time pcr for viral load (rapid diagnostic test), liver function test for sgot/sgpt and consult gastroenterologist/physician for advice and treatment.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Having premature ejaculation problem. Is there any tablets. I need a permanent cure. Pls help me. My age is 25.
Hello- Premature (early) ejaculation is the most common sexual disorder in men younger than 40 years, with 30-70% of males in India affected to some degree at one time or another. Men generally are used to extensive masturbation in the past which makes orgasm fast during the act, this habit later becomes permanent and present itself as premature ejaculation during sex. Fortunately it can be cured and permanent improvement can be achieved with the help of medicinal treatment and exercise schedule. Since you are still young, I recommend you not to waste your time and money in buying over the counter products and get a proper consultation. Yes you can recover.
