Usually mechanical back pain reduces by extension exercises. 1. Lie on your stomach for 5 minutes. Take deep breath 2. From same position prop up your upper body over elbow (the way you read a book in bed lying on your bed): 5 min 3. In standing keep your hand in the belt line and bend backwards. 10 repetition every 2 hours. Drink a lot of water and do not bend forward. Hope this helps.

I am suffering from hair loss and they are breaking from middle. Please tell me what should I do to stop my hair loss?

BHMS
Homeopath,
I am suffering from hair loss and they are breaking from middle. Please tell me what should I do to stop my hair loss?
Dear Lybrate User, Hair growth occurs in cycles. Each cycle consists of a long growing phase (anagen), a short transitional phase (catagen) and a short resting phase (telogen). At the end of the resting phase, the hair falls out (exogen) and a new hair starts growing in the follicle beginning the cycle again. Normally, about 40 hairs reach the end of their resting phase each day and fall out. When more than 100 hairs fall out per day, clinical hair loss may occur. Hair loss have many causes such as:- 1) Shrinkage of the hair follicles due to the influence of androgenic hormones. 2) Under-nutrition of the hair due to fungal infection on the scalp. 3) Effects of Radio therapy or Chemotherapy. 4) Nutritional deficiencies. 5) Autoimmune diseases. Modes of treatment for hairfall/alopecia includes surgical modes, oral medicine & local external application. The minimum duration of the course of oral medicines & external application is 6 months. You can start the following medications:- 1) Take 5 drops of Homeopathic SULPHUR 200, once in a week. 2) Take 5 drops of Homoeopathic SELENIUM 200 every morning before brushing your teeth. 3) Take 4 tablets from Biochemic NATRUM MUR 6X TABLETS, thrice daily. Just chew the tablets as those tablets are sweet in taste. 4) Take Homoeopathic Mother Tincture ACID PHOS Q, 30 drops, twice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. Kindly note that this medication may not be sufficient enough to take care of your problem. These medicines are based on the symptoms of your diseased condition & these medicines need to be complemented by further deep-acting remedies in order to permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the disease. So I would suggest you to consult me privately via Lybrate as it is very necessary to diagnose the proper underlying cause of your problem if you are wishing for a permanent relief from your problems. A permanent annihilation of the underlying cause of the disease will not only provide you relief from your troubles but it will also cease any chance of further relapse of that particular disease condition.

I am 18 years old. My tooth are becoming yellow. What should I do for regaining my white teeth?
Cause of discoloration – Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Drinking Tea Right After Meals - Is It Good Or Bad?

Drinking Tea Right After Meals - Is It Good Or Bad?

For a tea lover, nothing in the world can be more gratifying than a cup of tea. Happiness or sadness, stress or celebration, the answer to everything is a cup of heavenly delight. In addition to the hard core tea addicts, many people, in general, have the habit of drinking tea after meals. While many see this as a harmless addiction, some experts consider the habit anything but healthy. What is the truth then? Is it harmless to drink tea after meals or is the truth different from what is apprehended? In this article, we try to find an answer to this baffling question.

Some reports suggest that drinking tea, particularly the green tea or any other herbal tea after meals may be a good practice. The green tea is known for its high antioxidant and polyphenol content.

  1. When consumed after a meal, the green or herbal tea acts as a catalyst, accelerating the production as well as the stimulation of many digestive enzymes including gastric juice, saliva, and bile to aid in the digestion process.
  2. The catechins (polyphenolic compounds), an active compound present in green tea enhances the pepsin activity to a great extent. An increased pepsin activity indicates a better breakdown of the dietary proteins.
  3. The antioxidants in the green are known to deal with many complications associated with digestion with elan. In fact, green tea is considered an effective digestive stimulant. It is known to provide relief from intestinal gas as well as conditions of Irregular Bowel Syndrome (namely Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease).
  4. Green tea or herbal tea also helps in better absorption of the dietary nutrients.

While these points reflect the benefits of having tea (mainly green or herbal tea) after meals, there is the other side to it. Not all people enjoy having green tea. Thus, when we discuss the merits or the demerits, we should consider tea in general and not just herbal or green tea.

  1. The Tannin present in tea comes with many side effects.
    • Tannin interferes with absorption of many minerals including iron, zinc, and calcium (slows down the absorption). As a result, there may be a deficiency of these minerals, triggering a myriad of health complications.
    • In some people, tannin may also trigger constipation.
    • Thus, people already suffering from the deficiency of these minerals should refrain from drinking tea between meals.
  2. Another ingredient present in tea is the caffeine.
    • It is a well-known fact that increased consumption of caffeine can result in insomnia.
    • For people with a stomach ulcer, caffeine may be harmful as it is known to aggravate the condition further.
    • It can also trigger a shoot in blood pressure and heart rate.

Taking all the points (both merits and demerits) into consideration, it is best to avoid drinking tea between meals on a regular basis. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Ayurveda.

Causes and treatment for Diabetic Nephropathy

Hi, I’m Dr. Sandip Bhurke. I’m a consultant nephrologist and kidney transplant physician at Mumbai, Andheri Lokhandwala. I was Ex-Associate Professor in Nayar Hospital Mumbai Central previously. Today I will be speaking about diabetic nephropathy. As you all know diabetes is a very common disease. Diabetes affects many organs in the body. When diabetes affects the kidney, it is known as diabetic nephropathy. The initial stages of diabetic nephropathy. there will be the loss of protein in the urine, and this is called as proteinuria.

This will be followed by a rise in the blood creating the report that is the effect on the kidney on both sides. This leads to later on renal failure and needs for dialysis and kidney transplant. Whenever a patient of diabetic nephropathy goes into kidney failure, he requires a dialysis catheter in the neck and later on an AV fistula on the hand. This AV fistula construction leads to the blood going from the body to the machine where it is filtered it comes back to the body through the AV fistula. A patient of diabetic nephropathy will have other complications also, that is the need for erythropoietin injections to increase the hemoglobin, and control of phosphorus, uric acid, and potassium, which are the other poisons in the body which are cleared by both the kidneys.

If you want to prevent diabetic nephropathy, most important is control of diabetes. The diabetes should be controlled . A very good control of diabetes followed by once a year workup of the kidneys in every diabetic patient which includes urine routine, the checkup of blood creating report and eyes checkup to also check for the effect of diabetes on the eyes. The eyes and kidneys are related in the effect of diabetes, that is why eyes are also checked by kidney doctors, nephrologists.

If you have any further questions you can contact me on Lybrate.com. Thank you.

Sir Tabbeco is why injuries to health man are why eating tobacco please give solution in email.

MD
Yoga & Naturopathy Specialist, Delhi
Sir Tabbeco is why injuries to health man are why eating tobacco please give solution in email.
Tobacco is injurious to health because it contains nicotine. Nicotine is a strong poison. Secondly tobacco is used for smoking, the smoke along with nicotine gets deposited in the lungs. The smoke blocks the cells of the lungs and thus smoke blocks the oxygen transferring capacity of the lungs. Secondly the nicotine and tar produced by burning parts of tobacco cause cancer of lungs. There fore tobacco is injurious. Still people use it because it gives a temporary boost of energy. However the boost is only temporary and soon tapers off. Then another dose is required. Thus tobacco becomes a habit. Then it becomes such a necessity that it becomes difficult to break. Trying to quit tobacco causes withdrawal symptoms. The symptoms are not very painful opium products, but do cause lack of comfort. Still a lot of will power and motivation is required to quit. Those who lack in that area are doomed to tobacco for life.
