You don't need to treat uric acid if it's not Gout. Avoid junk food and doingvexercise should be enough. Remylin d is vitamin d which is good for bones and joints especially if you have low levels. It has got nothing to do with uric acid.

I am suffered from fissure for last 5 months. What should I do? I used 2% diltiazem cream. Bt can't relief occur. What should I do?

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, external applications will merely subside the infection giving you temporary relief from pain & swelling. But if you want to cure it permanently then homoeopathy is the best option. Take homoeopathic silicea 6x tablets for one month. Take 4 tablets, thrice daily, in lukewarm water. If your problem persists after one month of medication then you should consult.

My age is 24. Height 6 ft. Weight 76 kg. What are the symptoms of vitamin b12 deficiency?
A deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to anemia. A mild deficiency may cause no symptoms. But if untreated, it may progress and cause symptoms which can weekness, tiredness, or lightheadedness Heart palpitations and shortness of breath. If you have pernicious anemia or a problem with its absorption, you'll need to replace vitamin B12 by injection initially and then continued injections, high doses of an oral replacement, or nasal therapy for life. If the issue is that you don't eat animal products, you can change your diet to include vitamin B12-fortified grains, a supplement or B12 injections, or a high-dose oral vitamin B12 if you are deficient.

How lukewarm water good for cold .we know that cold is viral disease .do it really have any affect of warm water?
Homoeopathy is ideal for all ages for most of ailments acting a better substitute for antibiotics, anti allergic & other kinds of medicine. Today most common problem especially in children is cold & cough which is due to lack of IMMUNITY to fight against infections in our surroundings. Homoeopathy acts as a best source of medicine to boost immunity & fight against infections. Homoeopathy also offers treatment in all allergic, acute & long lasting chronic diseases by improving immunity. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects

Dear lybrate-user You need to do as I say & you will start feeling better- 1) Tablet Paracetamol 350 mg sos or once daily for 3 days for symptomatic releif from fever. 2) Practice Steam inhalation 1-2 times a day. 2) Wear socks & gloves as precautionary measures. 3) Avoid late night shifts & take adequate 8 hr sleep. 4)Luke Warm saline water (Halka garm namak-paani) gargles twice daily. 5) Herbal tea in evening (with Tulsi leaves) 6) For acute nasal congestion (Naak poora band ho jaana) you need some nasal drops/sprays & antiallergic medicines. You need to take private consultation for this as medical stores won't provide them without priscription. If you don't get releived in few days ,means you also need an antibiotic course. Get your blood pressure checked & tell me. Be in touch ,we will see what need to be done. Taking complete course would help you to get permanent releif from this problem.

Suffering From Pre-diabetes - How You Can Prevent It From Becoming Type 2 Diabetes?

MBBS, DNB (General Medicine)
Endocrinologist, Delhi
Suffering From Pre-diabetes - How You Can Prevent It From Becoming Type 2 Diabetes?

If your blood sugar has shot to the border level, but not quite high enough to be considered as Diabetes, think of it as a blessing. You are given the opportunity to take corrective measures and prevent the onset of diabetes. The ball is still in your court and you can take the right steps to prevent it from evolving to Type 2 Diabetes.

Here are the best ways to prevent:

  1. Know where do you stand: Find out your blood sugar levels by getting a blood sugar test done. Being older than 45 with a Body Mass Index above 25, puts you at a greater risk, so get your blood sugar checked. Even more pressing reasons to get checked can be high blood pressure or cholesterol or history of diabetes in the immediate family.
  2. Eat healthy: Food is medicine and what you feed your body, impacts the most on your overall health. Is your diet full of fast food and highly processed foods? Then, its time to change to a well-balanced diet full of wholesome nutrients. Eat regularly scheduled meals with a wide variety of foods in order to avoid extreme blood sugar spikes.
  3. Bust the stress: Chronic stress tends to suppress your immune system and lead to grave consequences. Since, stress aggravates your blood sugar levels, practice techniques of Yoga and meditation to drive stress away from your life.
  4. Move your body: When you are at a greater risk of diabetes it is time to act and avoid a sedentary lifestyle. Regular exercise can help you manage your overall health and boost your energy levels. Also, exercise keeps blood sugar levels from spiking after meals and active muscles will use insulin efficiently. Maintain a good fitness regime with 30 minutes of moderate exercise like walking, jogging, aerobics at least 5 days a week and opt for intensive exercises like cardio, weight training or strength training at least twice a week.
  5. Get quality sleep: Deprivation of sleep derails metabolism. According to studies, people who clock less than 6 hours of sleep are more likely to see their blood sugar climb up into the pre-diabetes territory. A short sleep for a prolonged time can potentially set the stage for high blood sugar.
  6. Medication: In most cases, simple lifestyle changes like the above will help to prevent type 2 diabetes. But in special cases, you can visit a doctor and he may prescribe certain drugs to keep the glucose production in check.

Prediabetes is a warning sign and a good wakeup call for you. So, wake up and take the right steps for a better tomorrow. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an endocrinologist.
