Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Hi lybrate-user, Working in an office often means long hours at a desk. Even though it might not seem like you’re putting much stress on your body while sitting in your comfy office chair, you might be doing more damage than you think. Luckily, preventing lower back pain at work is easier than you think. Here are five simple guidelines for reducing back pain in the workplace. 1. Watch your posture It turns out your mom was right when she nagged you all those years: slouching is bad for you. Whether you’re sitting or standing, make sure you’re watching your posture to avoid back pain. Picking the right chair is important too, especially if you’re tied to your cubicle all day. If you don’t have a chair that supports your lower back, you can put a rolled towel or small pillow behind your lower back. 2. Take a break Your body is remarkably good at telling you when it’s feeling worn out, so make sure you’re listening! If you’re feeling tired or sore at work, take a couple minutes to stand up, stretch, or even change your position. It may seem like a small step, but even a few seconds of stretching can make a big difference. 3. Keep your mouse (and keyboard) close Having your mouse, keyboard, or other important desktop items too far out of reach can cause you to have to strain to reach them, and that can hurt your back. Make sure you keep these items at a comfortable distance from where you’re sitting. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Keep hot water bag or cold water fermentation for your back muscles to relax, then slowly start streching your back muscles and abs muscles ina correct posture. Do surya namaskar each position hold for 10 counts. Maintain your back posture to sit straight and whenever going to lie down in bedplease first turn to a side and then lie down as the same before getting up from bed turn to a side then get up this will not hurt your back muscles, never get up or lie down straight. Whenevr you pick up weights do not try to pull push it away from you, and avoid taking weights from one particular side.

Hi All
I m 30 years old male, I have joint gym I do cardio as well
I want to build muscle n want to make my body Hard...
To build muscles and to remain healthy, you should follow 3 steps in your life 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Hence, a person requires protein intake every day. When the body does not get enough carbohydrates to fuel itself, it falls back on protein bank. That is why people who follow starvation diets or go on fasting lose muscle tissue. (a) Major protein sources: Egg white(white portion), Milk, Soybeans/Soymilk, Fish, Cheese, Tofu. (b) Other protein sources: Beans with wheat, Nuts, Curd, Yogurt (Dahi). 3. Fats: Required and healthy when taken in small amounts. Excess fat leads to weight gain, increase in bad cholesterol (LDL) and heartproblems (a) Major fats sources: Egg yolk (Yellow portion), Avocados, Whole Milk, Butter, Cheese, Nuts. (b) Other fats sources: Corn, Vegetable/Olive oil, Biscuits, Flaxseeds(San Beej). 4. Vitamins and Minerals: Critical for normal functioning of organs and processes within our body. They do not provide energy directly but work behind the scenes to break down food into energy. 5. Fiber: It helps retain water and in making our stools softer to avoid constipation. Intake should be 25 to 35 grams a day. 6. Calories: A measure of how much energy food or drink contains. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. 7. Guideline: Each day have 3 main meals, 2 snacks, 5 pieces of fruit and at least 1 glass of milk.

Conditions commonly linked to back pain include: Muscle or ligament strain. Repeated heavy lifting or a sudden awkward movement may strain back muscles and spinal ligaments. Bulging or ruptured disks. Disks act as cushions between the bones (vertebrae) in your spine. Arthritis..Skeletal irregularities. So first try to find out the real cause. To do the city scan of theback bone and HBLA 27 BLOOD test is necessary. Then connect me with the reports through Lybrate.

Physical Therapy to Relieve Sciatica

Physical Therapy to Relieve Sciatica

Sciatica is a very common neuropathic pain that is caused by damage to the sciatic nerve, a large nerve that runs from the lower back region down the end of each leg. It is the largest single nerve in the body.
This condition affects around 4 out of 10 people at some point of their lives. The nature of the pain varies from a mild ache to a sharp stinging sensation and may cause feelings of numbness and extreme weakness.

The causes for the onset of sciatica are numerous. Some of them are as follows:

  1. Slipped lumbar disc
  2. Muscle inflammation
  3. Internal bleeding
  4. Pregnancy
  5. Obesity
  6. Awkward sleeping position
  7. Uncomfortable footwear
  8. Spinal injury

How can physical therapy help?

There are many ways of treating sciatica such as medication, acupuncture and surgery, which can provide relief. The most common and easy treatment method however is physical therapy. A progressive and controlled exercise routine that is specifically tailored to the nature of the condition in consultation with a physical therapist acts as an effective remedy in treating the problem. It alleviates pain and also eliminates the chances of relapse.

Physical therapy exercises used to treat sciatica are of many types. These are a combination of core strengthening, muscular stretching and aerobic conditioning routines, which aim at correcting the root of the problem.

The different types of exercises employed to treat sciatica include the following:

1. Strengthening exercises: These aim at strengthening the spinal column and the pelvic region, which includes the hips and buttocks. They help in making the muscles and ligaments in this region more robust and allow for improved flexibility and support. Lunges and squats are some of the examples.

2. Stretching exercises: These provide pain relief through improved agility and flexibility. The most important aspect of these routines is stretching and exercising the hamstring. Hamstring, stretches, calf stretches and tricep stretches are a part of stretching exercises.

3. Aerobic conditioning: These are cardiovascular exercises of low intensity, which provide pain relief through the release of endorphins and the facilitation of fluid and nutrient exchange. Examples of these are swimming and brisk walking. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Physiotherapist.

I hope your foot injury must be healed by now. And if it is your flat feet that is hurting you, then you can do some foot, plantar fascia, gastrocnemius and soleus stretching. Also there are some exercises.
