Dear Lybrateuser, - It is good to know that your investigation results are normal - to lower your bp follow some lifestyle changes such as a well balanced salt restricted diet, do regular exercise, sleep well & keep stress levels as low as possible - have a salt restricted diet, avoid fried, processed & junk foods, restrict intake of tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day if you have more, also avoid alcohol & smoking if you do - have more of fibre containing foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains like whole wheat, brown rice, oats instead of refined ones, legumes, sprouts, a handful of mixed unsalted nuts daily, low fat milk & milk products, heart healthy fats in olive, canola or sunflower oil for cooking, nuts, avocados, flax & chia seeds - do regular exercise like walking, light jogging, cycling, stretching to keep fit - sleep well for at least 7-8 at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed - destress by reading, listening to music, yoga, meditation & deep breathing to relax your mind & body - monitor bp if not much change after 2-3 months then consult a physician you may require medication.

I am suffering from high blood pressure l always feel headache. What is treatment please give me proper direction.
Dear Lybrate User, *Increase use of garlic, lemon, parsley, Indian gooseberry (amla), watermelon, grapefruit, skim milk and cottage cheese. Regular exercise is one of the best ways to lower blood pressure; brisk walking, jogging, swimming and athletics are good options. Laughter is the best medicine, as it relieves stress and anxiety, which are the main causes of high blood pressure in today’s lifestyle.

You have hypothyroidism which is leading to your symptoms as well as derangement in cholesterol levels kindly consult an endocrinologist at the earliest to start treatment. Also get a baseline cardiac evaluation done by a cardiologist. Repeat lipid profile after 6-8 weeks of thyroid treatment as well.

Sir, My Father is Serious Heart Patient, referred to CABG from Cardiovascular on dated 02.03.2017, Due to 3 Arteries ...
Hi welcome, Blockage in all three arteries with reduced heart function& hhistory of cardiac arrest is a serious thing. He will definitely need a by pass surgery (CABG). The risk of the surgery will be higher than a normal patient with blockage in all three arteries. Diabetes control is definitely a very important thing. About medication, dose of cardace could be increased as per bp. Another very important medication (beta blocker) should be added to the treatment. Both the cardace & beta blocker are very very important for such patients. I could be of more help if you could send me the echo & Angio report. Thanks & take care.

Hi. I can understand your concern. It must be a viral infection try stem inhalation and warm salt water gargling. Also drink lots of fluids. Take fruits rich in vitamin c like mausambi, orange etc which will help you come over the infection faster. If cough is still persistent you will need a chest x ray and detailed evaluation. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
