Mr Pritam, At 27 years you have very severe hypertension and it has to be controlled rapidly. The dose of Amlodepine 5 mg, is very low and there may be a need for additional drugs. About fasting blood sugar level of 88 mg, it is absolutely normal. There is no need to worry about that. But you BP needs to be better controlled. It will be better if you come in a private conversation where I can give specific suggestions and even prescription. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines like to control BP you have to reduce daily salt intake to 2.3 g, avoid smoking and alcohol. Practice yogasanas etc.

Hi, Take Rauvolfia 1x, 2 tabs daily morning empty stomach and 1 tab in the evening. Drink plenty of liquids and cut down your fat, salt and sugar intake. go for a morning walk daily at least for 30 minute. Take a sound sleep and try to avoid anger. Home remedies to Control high BP:-1. Bananas are one fruit that people with high blood pressure can eat regularly to control it. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, which lessens the effect of sodium. So, try to eat one or two bananas daily. Along with bananas, you can try dried apricots, raisins, orange juice, spinach, baked sweet potatoes. 2. Eat one or two crushed garlic cloves daily. You can simply crush them with your hands. Crushing garlic cloves creates hydrogen sulfide, a compound that promotes good blood flow, removes gas and reduces the pressure on the heart. If you do not like eating raw garlic or if it causes a burning sensation, then take it along with a cup of milk. You can also mix five or six drops of garlic juice in four teaspoons of water and take it twice a day.

It is called sinus tachycardia. Sinus tachycardia is sinus rhythm with a rate of > 100bpm (100-180). Sinus tachycardia is an example of a supraventricular rhythm. Most often sinus tachycardia is caused by an increase in the body's demand for oxygen, such as during exercise, stress, infection, blood loss and hyperthyroidism. It can also express an effort of the heart to compensate for a reduced stroke volume, as occurs during cardiomyopathy. But first of you need to differentiate between sinus tachycardia, fibrillations, flutters, etc. To rule out the exact cause. Just go for once ECG test. For more queries and treatment contact us.

Heart Blockage: Know The Warning Signs!

Heart Blockage: Know The Warning Signs!

Heart Blocks are a result of plaque buildup in your arteries, which blocks blood flow and circulation to the heart, causing heart muscle damage and heightens the risk for heart attack and stroke.
Arteries which have smooth and elastic walls become thick and restrict blood flow from the cholesterol deposits over the years. Blood clots can also block the arteries that supply oxygen rich blood to the heart. These can eventually lead to strokes and heart attacks.

Some warning signs that you may be at risk of heart blockage:

  1. Have you had a mild stroke: Plaque that accumulates in the carotid artery supplying oxygen rich blood to the brain can cause a stroke. People who have had strokes are more prone to heart attacks.
  2. Do you often feel fatigue and dizziness: Reduced oxygen from poor circulation and blood flow can result in fatigue and tiredness as well as dizziness.
  3. Experiencing shortness of breath: Poor blood flow can lead to shortness of breath from even mild forms of exercise or even from carrying out daily chores or walking.
  4. Sudden chest pain: Chest pain or angina result from reduced supply of blood to the heart. It can be felt as pressure, tightness in the chest, squeezing in the chest, numbness or burning.
  5. Unexplained lower back pain: This can result from pressure in the spine as a result of pinched nerves due to compressed vertebrae discs as a result of poor blood flow.
  6. Erectile dysfunction in men: If an erection becomes difficult or impossible, it could be a warning sign of clogged arteries. These arteries supply blood to the pelvis area and help achieve an erection.
  7. Calf pain: Blocked leg arteries can cause calf pain, especially in smokers . THis is an early sign of possible heart blocks.
  8. Painful, numb and cold hands and feet: Plaque build up in the arteries of the extremities can cause numbness and coldness in the hands and feet.

Remember early detection is the key to prevent or delay heart attacks. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can ask a free question.
