Stress is a memory-buster. Deal with your stress with a counselor and a lot of your problem about remembering will happily return. But you may work on the following : Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid junk food.

Mr. lybrate-user, If your blood glucose is in control, with fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8, then you can take protein supplement free of carbohydrate so as to help build muscles. Regular exercise of over 1 hour is a must. Thanks.

This suggests acidity. At times body produces more acid without any precipitating cause. Take capsule ocid 20 for 10 days when you get up from bed. Eat half an hour after that. Take a bland diet low in salt an spices. Limit tea to 2-3 cups a day that too never empty stomach. Take plenty of salads and fresh fruits. Take dinner 2hours before you go to sleep. Sir, in your case, without properly assessing your knee joints, their mobility, flexibility, etc and without any x ray or bone scan, its difficult to say what exactly is the problem and tell the proper treatment. But, i'll advice, just have a look at your feet or get it checked by someone in family or even a physiotherapist, if you visit for your knee pain problem. There is something known as" flat feet" every person has a curvature, called" arches" in their feet, around the middle portion. In some it is high, in some low, in some normal, and in some its so low that the feet appears to be flat when place on ground. You can compare your arches with someone in family or google it. If you have flat feet or low medial arch, then it can be the real cause for your pain, coz it affects the load bearing or shock absorbing power of your knees, and so when you run, the force from the ground affects your knees much more. In such cases, you have to go for shoe modification, using readymade footwear or insoles having medial arch support, or customize them according to your need.

Hello sir, please go for a xray ankle (ap / latreral view), to find out any internal injury. You can also get uric acid and d 3 level check. By that time, try to do basic ankle exercise in frequent intervals, like moving it up & down, in & out, rotation clockwise and anticlockwise to reduce stiffness. What menstrual problems are to women, prostate problems are to men. The prostate is a gland in the lower abdomen that aids in the production of semen. The prostate is walnut sized in a young man, but can get enlarged with age. As it grows bigger, it can cause a number of problems. These are commonly seen after a man celebrates his 50th birthday.

There are three common prostate problems faced by men. Some of the symptoms that can tell if a man has a prostate problem are:

1. Difficulty faced while urinating.
2. The urge to urinate frequently at night.
3. Constant feeling of a full bladder.
4. Pain while urinating.
5. Blood in urine.

Prostatitis

This can be defined as inflammation of the prostate gland. In most cases the cause of this inflammation is unknown. However, there are two types of prostatitis; bacterial and nonbacterial. While the former reacts well to antibiotics, the latter is more difficult to control. Symptoms of this disease vary from one person to the next. Some of the factors that could trigger this disease are:

1. Chemical irritants
2. Past bacterial infection
3. Dysfunctional pelvic floor muscles
4. Sexual abuse
5. Chronic anxiety

Enlarged prostate

As mentioned earlier, as men get older, the prostate gland tends to grow in size. This growth is benign, but can block the bladder neck and prostatic urethra. This can cause problems urinating and lead to acute urinary retention. This can be very painful. Inserting a catheter can provide temporary relief and help release stored urine. Chronic retention is much less common and is associated with high bladder pressure and can damage the kidneys.

Prostate cancer

Advancing age and family genetic history are said to be the main triggers of prostate cancer. This type of cancer can remain restricted to the prostate gland in its early stages but may spread to the other glands as the cancer advances. This can also cause the growth of secondary tumors in the bones.

The only way to correctly diagnose a prostate problem is with a thorough physical examination. This includes a digital rectal exam where the doctor will insert a gloved finger into your rectum to check the size of your prostate, a blood test, mid stream urine tests and ultrasounds. In some cases a biopsy of the prostate may also be required. Depending on the diagnosis, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics, surgery, radiotherapy or hormone therapy to manage your prostate.  If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

It is very important to use artificial tears, otherwise there are high chances of exposure keratopathy and may even lose eye. Use refresh tears 2hrly and refresh liquigel 3 times a day and once at night. Use tape to close the eye, while sleeping. Consult ophthalmologist to look for amount of exposure while closing eye if cornea is exposed greater than 1/3 rd, you will have to undergo temporary tarsoraphy (closure of eyelids) to save the eye.

Hi. Here are few exercises which you can perform under supervision (if you don’t have any medical condition which is contraindicated in your case or consult an instructor who can guide you as per your case) for tightening the chest muscles: -Perform push-ups to tone the muscles beneath your breasts. Lie face down on the ground and place your hands shoulder-width apart. Put your knees or feet on the floor and make your back straight. Lower down until your chest is close to the floor and your arms are bent at a 90-degree angle, then push back up. Repeat at least 10 times. -Do dumbbell pullovers to tone your chest muscles and give your breasts a lift. While lying on a workout bench, hold one dumbbell in both hands. Your hands should overlap. Put your arms above your head then lower down until the weight is above your head and your arms make a 90-degree angle. Push the weight back up and repeat at least 10 times. -Do pec presses to lift your chest muscles. Lie on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat and your arms stretched out in opposite directions. Grab onto weights in each hand and lift them until they are above your chest. Your arms should be extended and your abs should be tight. Slowly lower the weights back down to the ground. Repeat at least eight times. Home Remedies: -Massaging your breasts with olive oil is an excellent technique to firm sagging breasts. Olive oil is a rich source of antioxidants and fatty acids that can reverse the damage caused by free radicals and prevent sagging breasts. Plus, it will help improve the skin tone and texture. Put some olive oil onto your palms and rub them together to generate heat. Rub your palms over your breasts in an upward motion. Massage gently for about 15 minutes to increase blood flow and stimulate cell repair. Follow this remedy at least 4 or 5 times per week. You can also use almond, argan, avocado or jojoba oil to massage your breasts.
