The skin can lose its glow and get dull and discoloured. Sun exposure, chloasma, freckles and scars due to acne are just a few reasons. Although not a life-threatening issue, people with dull and darkened facial skin usually consider it a life-altering one, leading to feelings of inadequacy and decreased self-confidence. This, in most cases, leads to the haphazard use of cosmetics and medicated ointments. However, only temporary results are usually found and in some cases injudicious use of such products may even aggravate the condition. This brings us to the scope of homeopathic treatment in such cases. We can confidently say that homeopathic remedies for clear and glowing skin are totally free from any side effects and are extremely effective in treating this problem. The medicines used are all natural and, thus, free from any harmful components. Their selection is based upon the individual constitution of the patient, and success is attained by employing the constitutional remedy internally.

I am a 25 year old male. I have blackhead problems on my nose. Is there any natural ways to remove it? How do these black heads occur? I use a garner face wash regularly. Please help me solve this.

Hello. Black heads come because the nose is oilier than other parts, oil catches dirt and the dirt causes black heads. To remove, it needs more effort than other parts of face and just using a face wash is enough as daily cleanliness but you need to remove blackheads when you see them. Scrub your nose with an apricot scrub, keep massaging gently for 5 minutes. (Specially on the nose sides) Use a towel and try to pull out the nose ,with a little force on the sides, holding the towel with index finger and thumb, covering the sides and tip of the nose. Wash the face. Do not apply too much force while scrubbing or while wiping.

Oily Skin and Acne

Oily Skin and Acne

Most girls and boys on attaining puberty face the problems of oily skin almost indiscriminately. Oil with all its undertones of nourishment and care might accost you positively yet an excess is never good. An oily skin can result in problems like pimples, acne or skin pigmentation. The greasiness of a frying pan is surely not desirable on your tender, soft skin. To remedy the case, one should seek professional medical guidance. Visiting the dermatologist can control excess oil secretions while preventing you from acne or acne scars.

Reasons behind an oily skin and subsequent acne formations:

  1. Seborrhea: Oily skin is a condition that is prevalently referred to as seborrhea. Puberty may or may not lead to seborrhea; it is usually known to accelerate the effect of androgen on your oil glands thus making your skin sticky.
  2. Lifestyle Problems: The kind of lifestyle you lead plays a major role in deciding the texture of your skin. Having junk food or processed sugar in excess could contribute to an oily skin.
  3. Hair Oil Habits: Oiling one's hair very frequently and leaving the oil to settle for more than an hour could be a causal factor as well. An oily scalp may lead to the development of acne on your forehead and on the rest of your face.
  4. Bacterial build-up on Oily Skin: An oily surface tends to attract dirt and grime. Therefore, a skin with excess oil will have a higher concentration of bacteria that further cause pimples and acne.
  5. Blocked Pores: Overactive oil glands are capable of blocking the pores on your skin. This prevents the skin from breathing. Chances of acne or other skin disorders are higher in such a situation.

Ways to deal with oily skin and acne:

  1. Go by the doctor's directions- If you have already seen a dermatologist you should follow his instructions and make necessary adjustments.
  2. Clean your face at least twice daily to rid yourself of unnecessary oil.
  3. Use skin care products which specifically suit your requirements and don't buy into the hoax of marketing.

If you are confused about what to use, talk to your dermatologist and get a specific set of products or ingredients that should be in those products. Use these as a guide in determining your future purchases as well.

Physiotherapist,
I have hair loss problems and dandruff problems. What can I do for reduce the hair loss and eliminates dandruff?
As per your question your hair loss might due to dandruff. Prevent dandruff is more advisable than curing dandruff. To prevent dandruff: 1. Maintain clean scalp 2. Stop head wash daily which make scalp dry and look similar like dandruff. 3. Avoid dust and pollution.
