Sir how can I remove black from nose by naturally. Is there any possibility. please help me.
Hello. Use home methods:- 1. Use lemon, glycerine and rose water mixture. Take them in equal quantity and use twice a day to lighten skin colour. It removes tan and gives you healthy fair skin. 2. Use curd and termeric paste. Take required amount of curd and add a pinch of haldi. Mix it and apply on skin. When it dries up wash with plain water. 3. Tomatoa juice is also good for lightening skin colour. 4. Apply aloe vera gel at night time. It gives you good skin. Use one or two methods from above and you will notice changes after few days. You can also consult me for skin lightening treatment. For any other advice keep in touch.

Psychologist,
I am suffering from mood swing and stress and some time I have very negativity in my mind.
Hello lybrate-user. Start observing yourself .keep a track record of your mood swings maintain a diary list up the possible reason for your mood swings. .Sit alone calmly take deep breathes talk to yourself try to sort it out. .keep chocolates, eating chocolates releases happy hormones .Try to make a routine so that things go well and possibly there is no time for mood swings. If you love working out go for it n if you are less active kind of person then meditate. Hope this works out :) You can also take help of self awareness and reasoning psychology because any drama or mood swings never comes up itself we choose to react so or associate ourselves in one or other ways. So sit calmly and for ask the reasons to yourself. For further help you can consult any psychologist of your near by area they will guide you properly and will give you tips.

Sir at your age it's a very common problem one thing I can suggest you that you start masturbating before any sexual intercourse and duration of foreplay should be increased so that you will have long duration sex and your partner will be happy. I will not suggest you to take any medicine because there are many side effects of those medicines.

Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

I have a job that confines me to very less physical movement and exercise. This has made me gain weight upto 110 kgs where I am supposed to be 75 kgs. I have a very poor metabolism to worsen my problems. Please suggest me some methods to fasten my metabolism, weight loss and diet pattern.

Hello- Follow these regimen to reduce your weight- 1.Eat a high-protein breakfast. Eating a high-protein breakfast has been shown to reduce cravings and calorie intake throughout the day. 2.Avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice. These are the most fattening things you can put into your body, and avoiding them can help you lose weight. 3.Drink water a half hour before meals. One study showed that drinking water a half hour before meals increased weight loss by 44% over 3 months . 4.Choose weight loss-friendly foods. 5.Eat soluble fiber. Studies show that soluble fibers may reduce fat, especially in the belly area. Fiber supplements like glucomannan can also help. 6.Drink coffee or tea. If you’re a coffee or a tea drinker, then drink as much as you want as the caffeine in them can boost your metabolism by 3-11%. 7.Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods. Base most of your diet on whole foods. They are healthier, more filling and much less likely to cause overeating. 8.Eat your food slowly. Fast eaters gain more weight over time. Eating slowly makes you feel more full and boosts weight-reducing hormones. 9.Use smaller plates. Studies show that people automatically eat less when they use smaller plates. Strange, but it works. 10.Get a good night’s sleep, every night. Poor sleep is one of the strongest risk factors for weight gain, so taking care of your sleep is important.

Causes And Effects of Alien Hand Syndrome

D.P.M(psychiatry) [Diploma in Psychological medicine] , MBBS
Psychiatrist, Jalna
Causes And Effects of Alien Hand Syndrome

Alien Hand Syndrome or AHS is a neurological disorder that causes the patient's hand to move involuntarily. The individual has no control over the movement of the hand and sometimes, he or she may not even be aware of the action! The patients often report feeling like their hand does not belong to them anymore. The disease has no cure but the symptoms can be treated and reduced. Usually the hand is kept occupied constantly by holding a light object.

Causes of Alien Hand Syndrome:
Though the exact causing factor of AHS is unknown, there are a number of instances which have been shown to influence the development of the condition. The chief factors are:

  1. Brain injury: Injury caused to the brain by blunt force trauma or faulty surgery can lead to Alien Hand Syndrome. This is particularly seen if the frontal lobe (the brain center of voluntary movement) or the corpus callosum (the bundle of nerve fibers connecting the left and right hemispheres of the brain) is affected. These are the areas that regulate motor functioning and the neural pathways to execute the actions.
  2. Brain tumor: A tumor (a mass of abnormal cells) pressing on the motor centers of the brain can cause involuntary movements of the left hand in a right handed person. This is because the right hemisphere of the brain controls the left side of the body and vice versa. Tumors blocking the neural pathways usually cause errant movements of the predominant hand.
  3. Neurodegenerative conditions: Diseases like Alzheimer's disease and Creutzfeld & Jakob Disease are characterized by memory loss, rapid changes in personality and growing defects in the central nervous system. AHS could be a complication of such disorders. Effects of Alien Hand Syndrome This is an extremely rare condition. There have been less than 80 known cases around the world since 1908.

The disorder is often unreported because it is mistaken for a psychiatric problem due to its unusual symptoms and effects.

  1. The patient may not even be aware of what his 'alien hand' is doing. The hand may even begin functioning of its own accord when the patient is asleep.
  2. AHS can result in feelings of guilt and shame because of the embarrassing actions of the hand that the patient has absolutely no control over. The hand is often said to be governed by primal animalistic urges of hitting others, tearing clothes off etc.
  3. The condition often leads to social anxiety, depression and paranoia

I have been becoming anger even for small reasons. How to overcome this. Can you plzz help me.

M.S. Counselling and Psychotherapy
Psychologist, Bangalore
It is important to understand what meaning you make from others' words, actions and behaviours. Many times you may perceive others' actions/words from completely different view and they may mean something else. It will be a good idea to ask others what they mean, before getting angry with any one. Try to have open communication with the people around.

HI, you may need to consult a doctor because you are having obsessive thoughts and it may later turn worse. Till then, you can do Mindful Breathing The primary goal of mindful breathing is simply a calm, nonjudging awareness, allowing thoughts and feelings to come and go without getting caught up in them.  Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and your spine reasonably straight. Bring your attention to your breathing. Imagine that you have a balloon in your tummy. Every time you breathe in, the balloon inflates. Each time you breathe out, the balloon deflates. Notice the sensations in your abdomen as the balloon inflates and deflates. Your abdomen rising with the in-breath, and falling with the out-breath. Thoughts will come into your mind, and that’s okay, because that’s just what the human mind does. Simply notice those thoughts, then bring your attention back to your breathing.  Likewise, you can notice sounds, physical feelings, and emotions, and again, just bring your attention back to your breathing. You don’t have to follow those thoughts or feelings, don’t judge yourself for having them, or analyse them in any way. It’s okay for the thoughts to be there. Just notice those thoughts, and let them drift on by, bringing your attention back to your breathing. Whenever you notice that your attention has drifted off and is becoming caught up in thoughts or feelings, simply note that the attention has drifted, and then gently bring the attention back to your breathing. It's okay and natural for thoughts to enter into your awareness, and for your attention to follow them. No matter how many times this happens, just keep bringing your attention back to your breathing.
