There are a few medications that can help stop smoking. However most important step is to counsel the patient about ill effects of smoking and increasing his motivation towards quitting smoking. Menses have a huge variation in terms of frequency, quantam and duration. But if you have this variation repeatedly and followed by clots, you might need to be investigated by blood tests and ultrsound.

U have tight foreskin. Do not worry. Apply lubricant like coconut oil or vaseline and try pulling it back daily for 2 months. If it does not come back even after 2 months you l have to undergo a circumcision.

I am 67 years old male. My sugar and cholesterol levels are within border. But my blood pressure is 175/90. I take inderal 40 two times a day. But the bp does not reduce. I intake less salt in veg. Mr Meharaj, There is no specific answer for why you have got this condition, as there are many reasons like iodine deficiency, autoimmune disease (Hashimoto's Thyroiditis), Goitre and also genetic factors. But if one has hypothyroidism (high TSH), it has to be treated with supplement of thyroxine tablets. This treatment has to be continued for life time. There are no home remedies, that can help in controlling thyroid deficiency. One thing you can do is avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, mustard, peanuts and coffee. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads, fruits, low fat milk products. Also exercise daily for at least 1 hour a day. These things help additionally. But drug treatment is essential.

Hye. Thanks for the query. Maintaining body weight is not a one time effort that you try, succeed or fail or drop the actions that take you there. You are what you eat. Your weight is nothing but a balance of how much you eat and how much you burn or exercise. Understanding this art of balance will make it easy to maintain your body weight. Walking, swimming, strength training as well as eating are all calorie burning processes. Along with this if you eat sensibly; then you will see the scales move. There is no short cut to losing weight. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Reduce your main meals by a small amount. Take a glass of lime water 10 minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called fad, crash diets, medicines, pills or supplements will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, lose that fat not muscle mass.
