Sr. creatinine is 5.7 And blood urea is 110 Swelling is present all over the legs and hand plural effusion is increasing again after tapping 2 litre fluid many time But fluid fill up again in 10 to 15 day Breathing trouble is the main cause to consult.

M. Sc. Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics, B.Sc-Home Science

you should immediatley consult a good nephrologist. Fluid fill up will be there because of extremely excess urea and creatinine levels. You should immediately stop consuming all protein rich foods like non veg, egg, pulses, lentils, and should consume leached vegetables, green leafy vegetables. Your overall fluid intake should not overtake your urine output. You should be on a renal supplement.

For small stone, no treatment is required. It will pass automatically in the urine. Drink plenty of water. If it is causing symptoms like pain/bleeding while passing urine it may require surgery (LASER/ESWL. Take USG/CT abdomen and consult urologist for advice.

Hi lybrate-user, from the information I have got from your question it's hard to guess what the real reason could be, the information regarding frequency of urination is right to an extent, however if you are urinating about 12 times/day and if you have associated fever too then it could mean you may be having a urinary tract infection. My advice to you is to investigate the problem. Step 1 - get a cue (complete urine exam) 2- get fbs, ppbs (blood sugars) bun, and sr. Creatinine (renal function tests) and consult a physician of your choice. I hope this helped. Thanks.

What you have is probably fistula in ano or perianal abscess. Sit in lukewarm water to ease the pain. It may require surgery. Consult a general or colorectal surgeon.

Hello Lybrate User, Most of the urinary tract infections are due to bacteria or microbes. These following factors can increase the likelihood of developing a urinary tract infection - Sexual intercourse (especially if more frequent, intense, and with multiple or new partners), diabetes, poor personal hygiene, problems emptying the bladder completely, having a urinary catheter, bowel incontinence, blocked flow of urine, kidney stones, suppressed immune system, immobility for a long period, heavy use of antibiotics. Here are several measures that can be taken to reduce the risk of developing a urinary tract infection - * Drink lots of water and urinate frequently * Avoid fluids such as alcohol and caffeine that can irritate the bladder * Urinate shortly after sex * Wipe from front to back after urinating and bowel movement * Keep the genital area clean * Showers are preferred to baths and avoid using oils * Avoid using any perfumed products in the genital area * Wear cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothing to keep the area around the urethra dry. In case, if infection get worse visit your primary health care provider. Take care.
