Fat tissue mass increases though middle age and declines in old age, with menopause transition being associated with significant weight gain of 2-2.5 kg over 3 years on average. Women after menopause are thus thrice as likely as premenopausal women to develop obesity and metabolic syndrome. Major changes in fat distribution and function occur throughout life. Fat tissue mass increases though middle age and declines in old age, with menopause transition being associated with significant weight gain of 2-2.5 kg over 3 years on average. The prevalence of overweight or obesity in middle-aged women, around and after menopause is high and is rising worldwide, more rapidly in women over the age of 40 years, with up to 65% being either overweight or obese and up to 30% or more being obese. Menopause transition is characterized by a change in the hormonal milleu, especially a decline in circulating estrogen levels, which is thought to be a major contributor to the central abdominal fat accumulation, reduction in subcutaneous fat and increase in total adiposity. Longitudinal comparisons of menopausal and non-menopausal women of similar age revealed an accelerated increase in visceral fat depots caused by a peripheral to central redistribution of fat and increases in total adiposity [24,25,27-29]. Total body fat mass as well as abdominal fat mass are reduced with estrogen therapy in both human and animal studies. Women after menopause are thus thrice as likely as premenopausal women to develop obesity and metabolic syndrome. My cheeks are big in size so that my face appeared very big how to reduce size of cheeks naturally?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
My cheeks are big in size so that my face appeared very big how to reduce size of cheeks naturally?
Here are few tips along with exercises to resolve your problem of chubby cheeks and tones up the muscles of your face. Management: -you may be suffering from chubby cheeks because your body is retaining too much water because you're not drinking enough of it. So, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily. -try cutting salty or sugary foods out of your diet and eating foods that are low in salt or sugar, because if you include too much salt and refined sugar in your diet. -avoid alcohol. -eat more fruits and vegetables. -eating more calcium can also help you retain less water in your face, so you won't have those puffy cheeks. Exercises: -not only can chewing gum calm your nerves and freshen your breath, but it can also help you lose weight from your cheeks. -profoundly pronounce" x-o" at least fifteen times. Take a break and repeat the exercise three times. -open your mouth round and wide and hold this pose for a few seconds. Then, relax your jaw and repeat this motion nine more times, for a series of ten repetitions. -lift up your cheeks toward your eyes as high as you can. Use the corners of your mouth to help lift your cheeks. You should feel like you're trying to form a strained, awkward smile. -draw in your cheeks until you're making fish lips by puckering out your top and bottom lip. -close your mouth and fill your cheeks and mouth with air. Then, move the air from one cheek to the other as slowly as you can. Move the air from one cheek to the other at least ten times, and take the time to fill your cheeks with air again if necessary. Repeat this exercise three times daily. -smiling also exercises your facial muscles and will make you lose those chubby cheeks. You can just smile on your own, holding each smile for ten seconds and repeating this action ten times. After completing a series of facial exercises, gently rub your fingers over your cheeks and jaw in a circular motion. This will help relieve tension and soreness after exercising.

How To Prevent Cervical Cancer?

How To Prevent Cervical Cancer?

Cervical cancer (a malignant tumor of the cervix, the lowermost part of the uterus) is one of the most preventable types of cancer. Because of the Pap smear test, the number of cervical cancer cases has actually dropped over the past 20 years. However, many women still develop cervical cancer.

While some cases of cervical cancer cannot be prevented, there are many things a woman can do to reduce her risk of developing cervical cancer.

Reduce Your Risk of Cervical Cancer:

  1. Get a regular Pap smear. A Pap smear can be the greatest defense against cervical cancer. It can detect cervical changes early on, before they have a chance to turn into cancer.
  2. Limit the number of sexual partners you have. Studies have shown that women who have many sexual partners increase their risk for cervical cancer. You also increase your risk of developing HPV, which has been shown to lead to cervical cancer.
  3. Quit smoking or avoid secondhand smoke. Smoking cigarettes increases your risk of developing many cancers, including cervical cancer.
  4. If you are sexually active, use a condom. Having unprotected sex puts you at risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which can increase your risk factor for developing cervical cancer.
  5. Follow up on abnormal Pap smears. If you have had an abnormal Pap smear, it is important to follow up with regular Pap smears or colposcopies, and whatever else your doctor has recommended for you. If you have been treated for cervical dysplasia, you still need to follow up with Pap smears or colposcopies.
  6. Get the HPV vaccine. If you are under 27, you may be eligible to receive the HPV vaccine, which prevents high risk strains of HPV in women. The vaccine is most effective when given to young women before they become sexually active.

Again, cervical cancer prevention should be a top priority for all women. Small lifestyle adjustments, combined with regular medical care, can go a long way in preventing cervical cancer. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Tips on How to Grow Facial Hair Quickly and Effectively: A) EXERCISE: Exercise affects facial hair in three ways: 1. Shedding excessive weight increases testosterone. 2. Short intensive exercise is proven to increase testosterone and prevent it from declining. Particularly weightlifting and strength-oriented HIIT (high-intensity interval training) 3. Exercise increases blood circulation. (Blood carries proteins and vitamins to your hair follicles) B) Use shampoo and conditioner. Using regular bar soap or detergent is not recommended as it can dry skin. C) Get it trimmed. Both scissors and electric trimmers work well for trimming beards. D) Consume nutritious foods: Balanced diet and high protein diet help. E) Take enough sleep and rest. F) Manage itchiness. G) Allow your beard to grow before trimming or shaping it. E) Manage stress.
