You are too young to have this high BP, so first we need to understand what is causing this rise in BP, for which you will need the following Investigations - ECG, ECHO, RFT, LIPID PROFILE, LFT, so that we can find the cause of this and treat acoordingly. Consult with these reports. And you should begin with lifestyle measures and precautions like - 1) Start exercising daily, begin gradually and increase to 40-45 mins. 2) Eat healthy, avoid fried, sugary food. Avoid food with high salt content like chips, sauces, pickles etc 3) Quit smoking and drinking if you do. 4) Avoid take too much caffeine.

You should have plenty of water by mouth. say in a day you should drink from 6to7 ,g look ass of eater but at regular intervals of you have to increase the intake of water according to weather conditions and your nature of work.because the forms a very important role in one life. say your wt is ,60 kg and ht is 160cm the your wt should be around z57 to 60kg. and suppose your wt is 100kg then your body water and fluid content wt will be 70 kg.

Hello, as per your description, its your anxious nature that create hypertention, as you have not mentioned your age, that thing has to be kept in mind, age factor can't be ignored. Normal level of vit d is between between 20-50ng/ml. A level less than 20 ng/ml indicates vitamin d deficiency. 1. Expose yourself to sunlight for 15-20 minutes daily in the morning 2. Take milk, cheese, egg yolk, fish (salmon/mackerel/ trout/sardines/tuna) cod liver oil, mushroom, cereals, orange juice. 3. If you have deficiency of vitamin d you have to take vitamin d supplement 60000iu/week fo r 3 months after consulting physician.

My mother has been experiencing acute chest pain on left side of heart. We visited the physician and the BP came out to be 191/125 Now the pain has reduced a lot and her BP was 125/90. Should we still continue with the BP lowering medications?

Yes you must continue medicines. Low salt and sugar advised. Walking exercises. Plenty of vegetables and fruits. Diabetes? keep sugar within normal limits. Ecg echo and doppler very important.

Dear lybrateuser, - Yes, any person who undergoes chronic stress & anxiety is prone to heart disease & a heart attack - also an unhealthy diet with more of fried, fatty, processed, junk food with sedentary habits is prone to heart attack, also drinking excess alcohol & tobacco contribute in a major way - have more of fruits & vegetables, less of fats & processed foods & do regular exercise , sleep well for 7-8 hrs in the night to keep your heart healthy.
