I have a sprain on my right foot plzzz tell me what shud I do to make the pain low.

I have a sprain on my right foot plzzz tell me what shud I do to make the pain low.
You can first use the rice approach to treat your ankle: rest: you may need to use crutches until you can walk without pain. Ice: for at least the first 24 to 72 hours or until the swelling goes down, apply an ice pack for 10 to 20 minutes every hour or two during the day. Always keep a thin cloth between the ice and your skin, and press the ice pack firmly against all the curves of the affected area. Compression: an elastic compression wrap, such as an ace bandage, will help reduce swelling. You wear it for the first 24 to 36 hours. Compression wraps do not offer protection. So you also need a brace to protect your ankle if you try to put weight on it. Elevation: raise your ankle above the level of your heart for 2 to 3 hours a day if possible. This helps to reduce swelling and bruising. Proper treatment and rehabilitation (rehab) exercises are very important for ankle sprains. If an ankle sprain does not heal right, the joint may become unstable and may develop chronic pain. This can make your ankle weak and more likely to be reinjured. Please see a physiotherapist. Best wishes.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery
Orthopedist, Gurgaon
Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

Spine surgery is conventionally performed as ‘open surgery’, which means the region being worked on is opened with a long entry point to permit the surgeon to view and access the area. Technical and scientific advances have permitted more back and neck conditions to be treated with a less obtrusive surgical technique. The minimal invasive spine surgery (MISS) does not include a long cut, and it prevents causing damage to the muscles around the spine. As a rule, this causes less pain after the surgery and a speedier and healthy recovery.

Spine surgery is normally suggested when non-surgical treatments like medicinal or exercise based methods have not helped in lessening the excruciating symptoms of your back problem. Moreover, surgery is just considered if your doctor can pinpoint the correct reason of your pain, for example, a herniated circle or spinal stenosis.

MISS is also called less obtrusive spine surgery. In these procedures, surgeons utilise particular instruments to get to the spine through little cuts. The surgery process is as follows:

  1. During the surgery, a little entry point is made and the tubular retractor is embedded through the skin.
  2. It is also inserted into the delicate tissues down to the spinal cord.
  3. This makes a passage to the little range where the problem exists in the spine.
  4. The tubular retractor holds the muscles open and is set up all through the surgery.
  5. The surgeon gets to the spine utilising the little instruments that fit through the focal point of the tubular retractor.
  6. Any bone or disk material that is expelled goes out from the retractor.
  7. Any gadgets needed for the fusion process, for example, screws or rods, are embedded through the retractor.
  8. A few surgeries require more than one retractor.
  9. Keeping in mind the end goal to see where to put the entry point and embed the retractor, the surgeon is guided by fluoroscopy.
  10. This strategy shows ongoing X-ray pictures of the patient's spine on a screen throughout the surgery.
  11. The surgeon additionally utilises a microscope to enlarge the view through the retractor.
  12. Towards the end of the procedure, the tubular retractor is expelled and the muscles come back to their original position.
  13. This restrains the muscle damage that is more ordinarily found in open surgeries.

It is very important to talk about these risks with your doctor before your surgery or procedure.

  1. Infection: Antibiotics are consistently given to the patient some time before, during, and regularly after the surgery to reduce the danger of infections.
  2. Bleeding: A specific measure of bleeding is normal; however, this is not commonly dangerous.
  3. Pain in the grafted area: Some patients will encounter surgical pain at the bone joint site.
  4. Recurring symptoms: A few patients may encounter a repeat of their side effects.
  5. Pseudarthrosis: Patients who tend to smoke are more prone to pseudarthrosis. This is a condition wherein there is insufficient bone formation. In case that this happens, a minor surgery may be required.
  6. Nerve damage: It is possible that the nerves or veins might be harmed during these operations. These complications are extremely uncommon.
  7. Blood clots: Another complication is blood clots in the legs. This poses a threat because these clots can break off and settle in the lungs. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

My husband has severe ear ache and was taking medicine for vertigo. .6 months. He hd stapedectomy done 20 years back....
Hi ear ache can be caused due to misalignment of jaw but you can't explain vertigo and neck pain with that. So I think vertigo and neck pain are related to each other while the ear pain is an isolated symptom. Also if the ear ache is in the same ear as that of the stapedectomy ear then we need to consider some tests to be done. Still I would suggest you to visit an orthodontist to rule out any misalignment and if it is not then take a reopinion of the ent specialist. Regards.

I am 35 m, for mitral valve prolapse and sinus tachycardia taking telday M50 from 5 years. No complains about this at all. My last year blood report showed RA factor little higher but when I showed it to RA doc, he told me I have anxiety only and RA is not issue in my case so all is fine and I never worried ABT that. Then, from last few days I feel some kind of strange blunt pain at back of head which made me feel about if I have something in brain but as because of previous experiences I took as it's anxiety as no other symptoms like blur vision or slur speech or no omit. However, whenever I pump air into tyres .for pumping need to use right leg. Them surely after some time I get pain in hip which makes me harder to get up but I do anyways and it stays for 3-4 days and comes normal then. I am active, 35 yrs, 77 kg yes such normal activities like pumping air can make hip pain. Exactly where vertebrates ends. How to stop this rather get flexible with it.

It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. Pain in the back while walking and standing Pain in the right leg If you have leg pain pls check your body weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the If you have back pain while walking and standing first of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the back. Back. And also should check whether you have flat foot on the right leg that also might be the reason to have pain in one particular leg Pain in the left side of the leg/thigh The compression of the sciatic nerve should be around the right side that's the reason you have pain in the left side. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the L5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by.

Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.
