I am suffering from pain in my feet, specially at the heel area and if I walk fast or a bit more than normal, they hurt immensely. Also, from past 2 days, I am not even able to stand properly because of the immense pain in the heel area of my feet.

Hello Lybrate user. Seems like your having heel pain in both heel (plantar fascitis). Condition develops gradually by the when your fascia, structural get irritated by time by hard surface or wearing improper footwear's without any soft cushions or pad. Change your footwear's .if possible do wear a good pair o sports shoes, you will see immediate changes, contrast bath .soak your both feet in hot n cold water in 3: 1 ration do 6 repetition .this will help to subsiding a pain, do calf n fascia stretches moment wen you get in morning off the bed and in between, next is release that fascia structure using tennis ball below your heel. If you find any difficulty to understand all the process mentioned above .do visit a physiotherapist professional near by you he /she will explain you all. Thanks & regards.

First do take Conservative treatment with Physiotherapy like laser Therapy for pain relief for 12 days followed by strengthening exercise from Neuro physiotherapist best wishes

Hi, In your case, the kidney stones can be treated well with homoeopathy! You may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: Drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. Eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, your doctor may recommend restricting foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, okra, spinach, Swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose nonanimal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. Care for shoulder pain and related problems

Shoulder problems usually happen because of internal problems or external trauma. People who are into any form of manual labour, pick up a lot of heavy things regularly or play sports experience shoulder pain at some point of time or other. Shoulder pain can be detected by physical examination, mri, x-ray, ultrasound and medical history.

The most common types of shoulder problems are arthritis, fracture, dislocation, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tear, and rotator cuff disease. Cures for the different shoulder pains are different. Follow these simple ways to help you manage the pain.

1. Rest the hurtful shoulder: you need to take ample rest. Using the arm which is affected is not a good idea and needs to be avoided. If your job involves manual labour, it is advised that you stay at home to rest.

2. Ice pack healing: applying ice pack on the wound is also advised around 3-4 times in a day. This varies as per the kind of shoulder pain, so doctor's advice must be followed.

3. Be consistent with exercise: depending upon the source of pain, physiotherapist will advise certain sets of shoulder exercises. It is very important that they should be performed diligently for fast recovery.

4. Support it well: wearing a sling is extremely important and should not be taken lightly at any point of time. A good support will ensure there is no mislocation and faster recovery.

His condition is serious especially the blood int eh stool. Ideally, the decision to want to quit must come from the addict himself. In this case, there is a danger to his life if he continues, and therefore the decision must be made by responsible others. If this is difficult for you, do get the counsel and help of an elderly relative whom he respects and let him do the convincing. If he does not cooperate, then take the decision and call in the rehabilitation center to just take him away. He may be what people refer to as an addict on ‘skid row’ i.e. Only death can stop him – 20% of alcoholics are on skid row, world over. Knowing that someone else responsible has to make that decision for him and will do him the favor of a life-saving course of action, do so without any hesitation. Do not feel any guilt about doing this because you will surely save his life, and perhaps his health. If he wants to and is willing, he can get out of the addiction to alcohol with support. If he thinks he can do it from home, that I agree, may be very difficult. He has developed dependence and tolerance, two factors that work together, to increase our need for the substance and to need more of it for the same pleasure, over time. These effects condition us psychologically and physically, that giving up appears to be a very difficult task. That is why detoxification is recommended for chronic cases to eliminate the physical craving, at least, to start the process of relatively easier recovery. First, it is important to identify why one drinks: it usually has something to do with suppressing some deep-rooted pain. Then you can admit him for detoxification. Get thorough knowledge about the habit, about alcohol, and its mechanisms. Let him attend AA meetings, and since his case is very serious, admit him into a rehabilitation center for at least 6 months. The desire to want to quit is perhaps the most important condition. Giving up the habit is not easily done by oneself: he will need the support and help of a good group and therapist. By the way, he may have many relapses but he should never give up. His perseverance is the key. And the help of your family is absolutely essential to a good resolution. He needs to develop new habits and find new ways of gratification etc. All in all, he needs to be able to abstain from alcohol for at least three years to know that he is relatively safe from alcoholism. There is another drive called the Script Drive, which needs elaborate explanations. After the rehabilitation, if he still finds the urge too strong, then he can be prescribed disulfiram that will cause from mild to severe reaction and sometimes even hospitalization if he even consumes a tiny amount. Compliance to the prescription is the key for this success.

It depends in how bad your knees are. Most early oa pts can be managed with physio and drugs. But advances cases need replacement.

Best exercises for knee pain dear you can do it, except where stated, do 10 to 12 repetitions of each of the following, 2 or 3 times a week. Partial squats e pain. Stand about 12 inches away from the front of a chair with your feet about hip-width apart and your toes forward. Bending at the hips, slowly lower yourself halfway down to the chair. Keside-lying leg lifts wearing ankle weights above the knee, lie on your left side, legs straight and together, with your left arm supporting your head. Keeping your right foot flexed and your body straight, slowly lift your right leg to about shoulder height, then slowly lower. Repeat with your left legep your abs tight, asusing an aerobic step bench or a staircase, step up onto the step with your right foot. Tap your left foot on the top of the step, and then lower. As you step up, your knee should be directly over your ankle. Repeat with your left foot. Tep-upsnd check that your knees stay behind your toes. Inner-thigh leg lifts wearing ankle weights above the knee, lie on your left side, slightly back on your butt. Bend your right leg and place it behind your left leg with your right foot flat on the floor and your left leg straight. Support your head with your left arm. Slowly lift your left leg about 3 to 5 inches, then lower. Repeat with your right leg straight-leg raises sit with your back against a wall, left leg straight and right leg bent with your foot flat on the floor. Slowly raise your left leg straight up about 12 inches off the floor. Hold, then slowly lower. Repeat with your right leg. More: 4 treats you can make with protein powder calf rais using a chair or wall for balance, stand with your feet about hip-width apart, toes straight ahead. Slowly lift your heels off the floor, rising up onto your toes. Hold, then slowly lower. Es I ho -water is the best way to keep yourself hydrated always carry a bottle of water and keep sipping on it at regular intervals - add an extra cup of fluid to your diet by sipping on green tea or herbal tea it instantly makes you brisk - if you the gym daily make sure to have sports drink. They contain electrolytes and 6 to 8 percent carbohydrates - avoid alcohol in summer as it is extremely dehydrating. Substitute fluids like milk juices tea and coffee instead - it is the season of tender coconuts and watermelons - after each trip to the restroom refuel with a glass of water - one of the first sign of dehydration is a dry mouth. Quick water breaks is a good way, you will fit & fine.

Yes it is safe to walk. You can even try walking in swimming pool in waist high water (hydrotherapy) for exercise.

I am sorry about your sufferings. Take equal quantity of turmeric, fenugreek (Methi) and dried ginger powder. Mix them well and store in a cleaned jar. Take one tea-spoon powder mixed in a glass of warm water on empty stomach twice a day with water after meal until you feel better. Secondly, if you are constipated, correct your bowel movements and reduce weight, if obese. Avoid icing your knee and tie up your knee with crepe bandage. Finally, apply little pressure on the second joint of your middle finger from the nail using your thumb and index finger of other hand. You will observe severe and crucifying pain on that particular joint. This joint resembles knee in Sujok Therapy. Keep applying pressure intermittently on the prescribed joint in rotating motion for 15 minutes twice a day and within few days you will feel better. Apply pain relieving cream/gel also. Give hot water fomentation added with cooking salt and lemon juice to the affected area twice a day. Knee pains are very complicated symptoms and should not be left unattended. Also, seek your doctor’s advice for your disorder. If the pain is due to calcium deficiency, take calcium supplements. Take care and be in good health.
