A syndrome essentially means involvement of differetn systems of one's body due to a common pathology. The range of involvement of different systems vary from patient to patient. All babies of down syndrome donot have bad outcome. The outcome varies from very good to worse. Your baby needs detailed clinical examination to see her neurological status, certain imaging and blood investigations to rule out other defects commonly associated with down syndrome and most important of all close follow up.

continuous crying for so long ...
This is the typical age when babies become colicky. Also many a times a young mother unknowingly may keep the baby to wrapped, too warm. Babies may cry due to nasal block, ear ache or a painful joint. It is good idea to to take the baby for a good check up to a competent pediatrician as excessive crying should not be taken lightly.

It is not good to write drugs without seeing a patient. But you can give syp paracetamol 15 mg/kg per dose 6/4 hourly. It will reduce her bodyache and fever if it is. Will reduce her crankyness.

Adding arbitrary amount of baby formula is wrong practice. One flat scoop of formula is to be diluted in 30 ml of clean drinking water to make ideal formula milk for a baby. Hence the amount of formula milk is to be made in multiplication of 30 only. Addition of arbitrary amount of formula can make milk concentrated or diluted. Concentrated milk can make baby thirsty, dehydrated and can affect kidneys on long term while diluted milk has less calories and proteins which won't support baby growth and development. Hence make sure baby formula feed is to be made perfectly as advised. Only this can help baby to grow healthy. If baby is less than 6 months old then baby should be given exclusive breast feeding. If mother has lactation issues then better she should take help from gynaecologist or lactation specialist.

Only pus cells in urine is not a worry thing about your baby health. If your baby don't have any fever, difficulty in passing urine, feeding problems no need to do anything. Pus cells are part of our body protection. Give more fluids. Mostly that will solve your baby problem.

My son is going to be 1 years next month. He has got very less hair from birth that too his front head had no hair. We did head shave for him on 29th may n there is hardly a few hair at the back. It was really shocking for us since no one in our family has less hair. In fact I have never seen a bald person in our entire village. All the peoplel in our locality has good hair esp our family members have more. What might be the reason for this. Is it due to poor nutrition during pregnancy. Suggest some remedies to improve his hair growth.

Give some good goodtonic name so that my 10 year old kid gains weight he is 10 years old and 23 kg height is 4.4.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
As people believe the tonics cannot help gain weight. They are good for providing vitamins and miners supplements which we may not get from food esp children who are fussy eaters. DIet rich in good calories and protein and fat in minimum (adequate) amount are good for growth.

I have myometrial fibriods, do these fibroid cause hindrance to pregnancy . One is located in uterine fundal region and another with in the posterior myometrium uterine body

Mere fibroid does not always hinder pregnancy. The treatment of fibroid depends on symptoms (menstrual problems), tubal function, husband's semen etc. I personally try to treat fibroids with medicine except in extreme cases where surgery may be needed.
