If someone's liver fails and somehow survive then can she give birth? Or her chances to die during that period is more?

Hello- Pregnancy requires a lot of Hemoglobin in blood for mother and her child sufficient enough to progress the pregnancy without complication. Hemoglobin needs liver for its production in the body so a pregnancy will definitely impose extra load on liver and may not be good for the mother or her child. So do not opt for pregnancy now, give liver a chances since liver is the only organ in the body which has the regeneration capacity of its own. Once the condition is favorable you can opt for the pregnancy.

Hi team,
Please provide me a diet chart. I am 26. I am doing night shifts.
Can't maintain myself.
Thanks.
I will tell you what to eat and what not to eat! avoid sugars, sweets, salts, snacks, munching on junk food. Take lots of fresh fruits and salads and clear soups -easily available in can noteens, otherwise carry from home a box of cut fruits and salads, some brown bread, boiled egg, toned milk, curds/ raita with cucumbers etc. Take high protein diet like egg, nuts, roasted chana as snacks as they are filling and keep away hunger pangs.

Reasons for the period irregularity. Because from 1 month back on words I did not get my periods.

Reasons for the period irregularity. Because from 1 month back on words I did not get my periods.
In majority of the cases irregular menses are accredited to hormonal imbalance, but in some cases it may be pathological and secondary to some pathology of ovaries mostly. Now if you want to regularized the menses then you must establish permanent balanced first and this can be achieved only with homoeopathy, because in modern medicine we get only a hormonal support with a very temporary relief. But with homoeopathy you can strike the hormonal balance permanently which later on also give you regular menses even if you stop the medicine.

At this age the cycles can be irregular, but if the cycles continue to be irregular, long or heavy, get an ultrasound done and meet a gyna. Ecologist.

PCOS MANAGEMENT
According to a new research study 10 of every 12 females can improve their chances of conception by losing at least 5% of their body weight.

Lifestyle modification is actually helpful in managing mild cases of pcos without requiring further medical intervention. For example; some helpful strategies include:

Intake of low calorie diet can help in effective weight loss (that is needed to maintain normal androgen concentration in the body) it is observed that women who have high levels of luteinizing hormone (lh) in the first half of their menstrual cycle are at higher risk of having miscarriage.

According to a study the risk of miscarriage drops from 75% to 18% with 5 to 10% decrease in the total body weight and diet regulation.
While maintaining a balanced diet, limiting the spiky rise in blood sugar levels is the basic key. It is recommended that a female must limit her sugar intake in order to maintain her blood glucose concentrations within recommended limits. Dietary modification prevent rapid spikes in insulin release and resulting abnormal metabolism.
Healthcare providers advise moderate exercise and physical activities to maintain optimal insulin sensitivity.

Hi Lybrate User, Unfortunately you are being fed with wrong advice. As such you are having a weight problem and on top of it, if you take more ghee (fat) you are making it much worse. Next problem is this myth that taking some Ayurvedic medicine will make you slim. Both these advices have no scientific basis and will not bring you any results. And will add more to your existing problem. If you want to lose weight, you need to reduce your diet and bring it to a 1800-2000 calorie level. Your baby as such needs more outside nutrition now. 1. Focus more on eating fruits and salads. 2. Your daily diet should not have more than 4 teaspoon of oil/ghee and 4 teaspoons of sugar per day. 3. Don't stay hungry, and stay more active. 4. Go for an hour's walk / jog / yoga daily. 5. Drink lots of water. 6. Reduce all junk food, chips, fruit juices, colas, sweets from your diet. Step by step you can reduce your weight. But there is no magic pill. Believe in yourself. And it will happen.

Parenting

Right now we have a generation of kids who are going into high school, college and even the workforce who have never really experienced failure before. This is a generation of kids who have been bubble-wrapped since birth. The first generation of kids who weren't really allowed to play outside. The first generation where every drawer and cabinet was safety locked. The first generation to not only wear safety belts, but to also ride in a car seat until kindergarten. This is the first generation to wear helmets when riding their bikes. Mom and dad have stepped in to stop anything that could possibly hurt their kids. Unfortunately, in mom and dad's protectiveness, they have also protected their kids from some very important life lessons. Like failure.

This generation of kids that are arriving into adulthood or who will be quickly in its ranks have never been allowed to fail at anything in life. Even the little things like little league (where trophies are passed out with juice boxes) have been sanitized to make sure that everyone's feelings are safe from harm. Now these kids are becoming adults with unrealistic expectations for what is going to happen in the future. On what reality is like. And generally, what life is like.

I am not saying that the parents are bad people. Or that they were protecting their children with some malicious intent. In fact, I know the exact opposite is true. These parents were doing everything within their power to protect the things that are most precious to them. Their children. The parents only wanted to keep their children safe and happy. The layer of bubble wrap protection was done from a place of love and care. But what started out as loving protection has put these kids into an unexpected predicament. Because mom and dad were so quick to protect their child from anything negative (physical, mental and emotional), these kids never developed the ability to handle life's little messes. And we all know that life likes to dole out messes.

So, what can we do to help these young adults (and soon-to-be adults)? and more importantly, what can we do to not let this happen again with future generations? i'm not suggesting that we get rid of seat belt laws or that there weren't very good reasons for not giving kids free reign of their neighborhoods like we once had. I get those reasons. I am a parent. I watch the news. The world can be a scary place.

Starting now. We need to learn to stand back. We need to learn to stay on the sidelines when our kids are facing something difficult. Or when they have already messed up. We need to stand back and give them the space to clean up their own mess. They will never learn to do it, if we rush in like an assaulting army taking out everything in its path. Yes, your kids won't like it that you are not running to their defense. There may be tears. There may even be some accusations that you are ruining their life. But guess what? you aren't. You are actually doing them a huge favor. They just may not realize it yet.

You see, as strong and able as you are today, you are not always going to be around. And what happens then when your kid is facing a huge screw up or failure? who is going to fix it for them then? if you do not allow your kid the space to learn to deal with failures starting with the smallest of failures they will never develop the tools necessary to deal with those moments in life.

So, when they are facing a big ole screw up that has the potential of changing the trajectory of their life and you aren't around to fix it, what do you think they will do? run and hide? maybe. Deal with it? probably not. They will more than likely allow that one (albeit huge) screw up to define the rest of their life. And I know that as a parent who has spent the better part of your own adult life protecting this child of yours that you would never want that for your kid. So, take a step back. Take a deep breath. They can do this. (and so can you.) believe in them. Be their biggest cheerleader, but please, for your child's sake, don't step in and be the quarterback of their life. Allow your kid to have that win.

Fibroadenomas - Causes And Symptoms

MBBS, DNB - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Fibroadenomas - Causes And Symptoms

Fibroadenomas are benign non carcinogenic tumors that occur in the breasts of women. Although the condition may affect females of any age; spanning from pubescent girls to middle aged ladies, yet it is most commonly diagnosed in young women below 30 years of age. Fibroadenomas can be described as a stiff, smooth, supple marble under the skin of your breasts, which move when touched. These tumors which occur in varied sizes, may shrink or expand with time. Diagnosing through biopsies and treatment by surgeries are commonly employed for such a condition.

Types of Fibroadenomas
Fibroadenomas are of two types: simple fibroadenomas and complex fibroadenomas. The simple tumors are usually harmless and almost look the same under the lens of a microscope. On the other hand, the complex tumors are comprised of macro cysts (large fluid-filled sacs) and calcifications (deposits of calcium) which can slightly increase the chance of breast cancer.

What is the primary cause of Fibroadenomas?
Doctors aren't able to pinpoint the chief cause of fibroadenomas, but they have reasons to believe that the condition may pertain to the reproductive hormones. The condition may occur during pregnancy or during the use of hormone therapy, owing to which, the tumors may increase in size. The tumors are usually seen to shrink postmenopause, when the hormone levels start to dwindle.

Fibroadenomas are apparent and you may be able to detect them even without a doctor. The marble like tumor within your breasts are usually:

  1. Painless
  2. Firm
  3. Rubbery and elastic
  4. Easily movable

These tumors can range from being too small to as big as 3 inches or more in diameter. These lumps, which are usually harmless may be a cause of concern if they start to grow or change. Consulting a doctor is duly advised in such cases.

Risks: Fibroadenomas, only in the rarest cases, increase the likelihood of breast cancer. A complex fibroadenoma comprising of cysts or thick tissues called calcifications may aggravate your condition. Causes of concern could be if the tumor pains, a family history of cancer or an event of a questionable biopsy report. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

Afi stands for amniotic fluid index which is little low in your case. You can take ayurvedic medicines namely 1. Mridwika ghrita 2 tsp at night with warm milk after food. 2. Garbharaksha kashaya 2tsp 3times a day after meals. Drink tender coconut water 2-3 times a day and plenty of milk.
