I have an issue with my mood swings and anxiety. Sometimes I sleep too much and sometimes it's too hard to sleep. I angry without no reason. And feel depressed. And have a tension of normal things. Crying alone without reason. And doing unexpected behaviour. And got irritated without reason.

If your description of the mood swings are really accurate, then you are describing a condition called bipolar disorder. Now don't jump to any conclusions but do visit a counselor and you will get a better diagnosis. You talk about this condition rather casually. It is very, very serious and the earlier it is resolved the better. Because you are young the prognosis is good. Apart from that this the last time you will get to sort it out in your teens. If done well now, you could save a lot of time, money, and pain. Meet with a doctor immediately. Comply with all the medical prescriptions and work in tandem with a counselor for a long time and learn coping skills and techniques to handle the daily challenges you will face. There are certain adaptations that will suit you during the elation phase and there are certain behaviors that are required during the depressed phases. In the meantime you can do certain things that will give you benefits anyway. Emotional therapy will alleviate a lot of the problems faced in this condition because it is a mood disorder. You need to particularly look at your levels of anger both for its reasonableness and to express it in appropriate manner. I suspect that much of this anger may have origins in early childhood that you may never be aware of it now. Talk to your parents and explore that angle. This information will help the counselor too. Also you will need to check whether there is any genetic factor involved. You must exercise regularly, eat healthily and sleep normally too. If your motivation and cooperation is good much can be achieved. You must have a time-structured schedule filled with interesting and reasonable activities and it must be monitored for compliance and delivery. The reason I say this is that many times you will be inclined to have grandiose notions and confidently believe that you can do without the medication. This will set you back many months in the treatment and delay and sabotage the recovery: forewarned you are forearmed. If this combination of medication with therapy is maintained for at least three years without any episodes or breakdowns, it is possible to taper the medication in consonance with the doctor.

Sir, I have lost my penis sensitivity. I am afraid a lot. Is it curable sir. Please help me.

Sir, I have lost my penis sensitivity. I am afraid a lot. Is it curable sir. Please help me.
Dear Lybrate user. Please don’t panic. You must understand erectile dysfunction. There is nothing called erectile dysfunction while having masturbation. Loosing erection in the initial stages of sex or not having erection at all or having late erection or lack of sexual desire are called erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of a physical or psychological condition. It can cause stress, relationship strain, and low self-confidence. The main symptom is a man's inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Patients suffering from erectile dysfunction should first be evaluated for any underlying physical and psychological conditions. If treatment of the underlying conditions doesn't help, medications and assistive devices, such as pumps, can be prescribed. Yoga, meditation and diet could be prescribed once we know the basic reasons for it. Two natural treatments for ED that have shown promise are red ginseng and pomegranate juice. Ginseng is thought to increase nitric oxide production, leading to improved blood flow. Pomegranate juice is a potent antioxidant and can help too. Psychological reasons usually get cleared with sex therapy. I suggest online sex therapy. Take care.

What Do Our Backs Do for Us?

What Do Our Backs Do for Us?

Our backs are an essential part of who we are.

Without them , we would be unable to stand, walk, twist,, turn, bend or lift. We use our backs in almost every activity of daily living. Therefore when we experience pain in our backs, we must take it seriously. The term ‘back’ describes the trunk of the body from below the neck, right down to the tail bone.

The upper back is called the thoracic spine and the lower back is the lumbar spine. The back is made up of bone, muscle and other type of tissue.

Thirty-three small bones called vertebrae (shaped like irregular rings) are stacked on top of each other to from the spine which supports the weight of the body and houses and protects the spinal cord.

Topped by the skull, the spinal column sits in a large bony bowl called the pelvis. The tailbone or coccyx, is a set of fused vertebrae at the base of the spine and serves no real function.

The vertebrae, which give our back flexibility, are stacked on top of each other and connected by discs at the front and by facet joints at the back. The discs that separate the vertebrae provide cushioning and act as shock absorber.

Facet joints (found only in the lower back) are cup-shaped surfaces that form movable joints with our hips. A teach of the vertebrae, nerve branch out to the rest of the body. Tough ligaments help to bind the vertebrae together and strengthen the back. We have five lumbar vertebrae. These are the largest and strongest of the vertebrae and they serve a weight-bearing function.

BACK PAIN-

THE BASICS

Back pain is not a disease in itself. It is a collection of symptoms that signifies something is wrong. If managed properly, back  pain can resolve within a matter of days or weeks.

WHAT IS PAIN?

We all know that what pain means to us but it is often a very difficult thing to describe. Pain can be defined as an un pleasant sensation that occurs when we experience trauma or damage to our bodies. Pain may be aching, burning, throbbing, shooting, tingling or stabbing.

WHEN DOES PAIN BECOME A PROBLEM?

Pain becomes a problem to us when it affects the way in which we live our lives. This is usually because it lasts a long time, or becomes chronic.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF PAIN

There are three major types of pain-acute nociceptive ,inflammatory and neuropathic.·

Bee stings and twisted ankles are examples of nociceptive pain. This is pain that occurs following damage to the bones, joints, skin or soft tissues of the body.·

Pain in the joints caused by rheumatoid arthritis is an example of inflammatory pain.·

Headaches and trapped nerves can be neuropathic in their origin. Neuropathic pain usually follows damage to nerve tissues.

I am 24 years old. I have habit of masturbation since 8 years. What should I do to stop this. M very tensed some times.

I am 24 years old. I have habit of masturbation since 8 years. What should I do to stop this. M very tensed some times.
For reducing masturbation: Explore and make a list of time when you usually masturbate including factors which lead to it. - avoid same factors at that particular time, e.g. If you masturbate when you are lonely, then try to be with people all the time. - divert your mind from thoughts of masturbation: sit back, relax, drink a glass of water, try counting backwards from 50 to 1. - if you are used to masturbate watching porn, thn block porn in internet connection and delete all the files you have. - do other activities like swimming, walking, any outdoor sports or going out with friends - if you masturbate in shower, take a quick cold shower and get out early. - If you masturbate while sleeping, for some days sleep in the same room with family members or friend. - start exercising hard while you have excess thoughts of masturbation. This is how you will lose energy, feel tired and would go to sleep without masturbation. Urges generally last not more than half hour, you have to divert your mind in this half an hour.

Hello- Viagra/Cialis might not solve your issue as you have a sexual exhaustion related erectile dysfunction. Think of sex as a battery. The more you use it, the faster you lose it. An erection occurs because of a healthy dosage of hormones and neurotransmitters. The urge for sex starts with testosterone. But men who ejaculate often lose testosterone faster than their bodies can replenish it. With little testosterone, erections become weaker. You need to restore you vital nutrients and sex hormones wasted due to daily masturbation in past years. You can go for some good herbal aphrodisiacs of ayurveda to help stabilize your production of nitric oxide and testosterone and to increase the elasticity of blood vessels for improved erection quality.

Dear Lybrate user The problem you discussed here is called night fall. Most of the time Night fall is due to constipation. Try to clear your abdomen. Avoid out side food. Avoid oily spicy and junk food so that you go for motion in the morning regularly. After that there are some ayurvedic medicine which can treat this problem permanently.
