I am 20 years old. I have been taking medicine for clinical depression/anxiety for about 4 years till date. Now I get frequent shakes and tremors in my legs and arms same as the shivering in winter. What shall I do?

These tremors may be features of residual anxiety. You may be needed to increase the dose of medications with consultation of your doctor.

My cousin gets fits and seizers like epilepsy. Consulted neurologist and she suggested MRI. MRI report says Diffuse cerebellar Atrophy. What does it mean? please let me know. Is this serious disease and curable? Will ayurvedic treatment be better? Is this Mri finding due to epilepsy or epilepsy due to this mri finding? Thank you. Her age is 23.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user, it seems like your cousin has a genetic disease, but I can not be sure unless, he is examined, right now I suggest ,go to the neurologist who is treating him. Ayurvedic treatment is not my field, but there is no evidence that it helps in your cousin's illness.

I have uric acid count up to 6.6 ml . And my left leg thigh numbness has increased and acute back pain and leg pain . I'm on few medications , but is there anything I still can do ?

Your body produces uric acid when it breaks down purines — substances that are found naturally in your body, as well as in certain foods, such as steak, organ meats and seafood. Other foods also promote higher levels of uric acid, such as alcoholic beverages, especially beer, and drinks sweetened with fruit sugar (fructose). Normally, uric acid dissolves in your blood and passes through your kidneys into your urine. But sometimes your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys excrete too little uric acid. When this happens, uric acid can build up, forming sharp, needle-like urate crystals in a joint or surrounding tissue that cause pain, inflammation and swelling, called Gout. Homoeopathy offers permanent cure for such tendency since it is the susceptibility which makes one more prone for high uric acid while under same circumstances other people are normal . Normal Uric acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and 3.4-7.0 mg/dL (male). Normal values will vary from laboratory to laboratory. Also important to blood uric acid levels are purines.

Near upper right jaw feeling mild pain and numbness. Nerokind tabletes are suggested by dentist when these are used feeling fine but after 8 hours when tab power lasts again repeats numbness at upper right jaw. How long these tabs should be continued.

Nurokind is form of vitamin b12 which is prescribed in many conditions. What are the tests you have undergone for this problem. Have you taken the full mouth xray (opg) or may be ct scan (cbct) for this. You can continue tablet for one more week and if symptoms doesn't improve do all the test necessary for diagnosis.

I'm 27year old and have been diagnosed with HLA-B27 gene positive. My pain started since I was 17 in leg-hip joint region, over period it have migrated and now it's mainly on left shoulder where I can feel swelling in collar bone and shoulder cup. Recently I see swelling in Ribs joint on front side near thorax region. What should I do?

For pain take tablet paracetamol only and daily you need to exercise regularly and avoid pickles and papads and also take folicacid and vitamin d supplements

*Try to keep to a regular timing for going to bed*Avoid fried and heavy foods. Eat early and light food at night so that the food is almost digested by the time you go to bed. *Prefer fruits and green vegetables. *Fix daily work schedule and be busy with your work. Don’t keep pending problems in mind. Note down the points and leave them for next day’s action. *Don’t do stimulating mental work or keep watching TV which can keep your mind agitated or active. This will not allow you to sleep. LCD screen will also have adverse effect. *Day’s physical exercise makes you tired and induces sleep. *A warm bath in the evening will also be helpful. *Low volume music also induces sleep. *Keep your bed room neat, dark and cool.
